@TheNikolatesla34 Stop It Garnett is above Dirk and jt not even close. Garnett bring more to the table, and had many games of totally locking up Dirk. Dirk is phenomenal on scoring after that he average. Garnett school Dirk plenty of times. Dirk came up small to many times as. A legit contender to be above KG. He had Nash AND Finley's and couldn't get shit poppin. Dirk allow Kenyon Martin to lock him down and th e warriors to destroy him with Al Harrington c'mon. He had to get a super star defensive squad to carry him to a ring. He top 10 all time while KG TOP 5 PF all time. Duncan Malone KG, Barkely McChale, it even some debate if Dirk greater THAN pau or cwebb peak for peak.

Dirk in the 2002 1st Round crushed Garnett worse than anyone else did in a playoff series, though it was for 3 games. Garnett even resorted to hiding on defense and avoiding guarding Dirk for much of the series due to getting lit up. Still a top 10 all-time defender though.

Dirk's stats were even better than Garnett in that series
      2002 1st Round
      Dirk
      33.3 PPG - 15.7 RPG - 0.7 APG - 3.0 SPG - 1.3 BPG
      shooting 53/73/89
      Garnett
      24.0 PPG - 18.7 RPG - 5.0 APG - 1.7 SPG - 1.7 BPG
      shooting 43/50/72
Garnett only made 1/2 threes to Dirk's 8/11 so his 50% 3PT isn't that impressive.
I don't think anyone else has put up 33-15 on Garnett in a playoff series, let alone on 53/73/89 efficiency.

For everyone saying the clear answer is Dirk, you're wrong. It would be Shaq. Dirk has a 23-17 record over KG and only topped him in points, and that was by a mear 2 points a night. KG did better in all other areas and was just overall a better player. If anything, even Duncan was a tougher matchup, not to mention also better than Dirk who I think is the 3rd best PF ever only behind Duncan and #1 and KG at #2.

To anyone who says Duncan or Dirk owned KG.
I love both Dirk and Ducan but I love KG the most..you can never get wrong with any of those guys.
It's unfair for KG just because:
Duncan have Admiral(not prime but still better than any center not named shaq/olajuwon at that time) and before the admiral's injury they were one of the elite teams in the west
Dirk got better teammates in Nash, Finley, Van Exel and role players while KG got Billups(which was starting to get his steam going but not re-signed because they thought terrell brandon will be back) and wally(who stayed and was a key player in 2004 playoffs).
The Joe Smith scandal prevented the wolves from acquiring first-round picks (2001, 2002, and 2004).
And also KG's large contract contributed to them not getting any decent player except in 2004 when they got cassell(who was never the same after that big balls dance injury he got vs the kings series which they won) and sprewell(turned down a contract notsaid not enough to feed family and got issues outside basketball).
And became a lone wolf at that point and was out of playoffs in 2005-2007.
KG's only chance was 2007-2010(where they won 2008 playoffs and injured his knee in 2009 near playoffs then his teammates drag the eventual eastern champs to 7 games while playing 7 games against the bulls the previous round).
After the 2009 injury KG lost some post moves...left shoulder turn fade away was gone and you can see always turns right and baseline fadeaway. He was still effective in Pick N Roll/Pop with rondo approaching prime in 2011 til he got injured in 2013...ray allen in Miami rondo out of playoffs -- they were done
