He does the screams on the studio version, but Live sounded better than the studio version that was released on octane SiriusXM earlier in the day because live Matty's vocals were more raw vs the more processed/produced sound from studio version.
@@technewsfortechnoobs yep, backing track to get him started on the timing of the song but you clearly hear his voice takes over after. The way he does the verses are different than the album and he omits the word cemetery live and the way he screams the words "what keeps me sane" is different than the single release. :)
Dude, it was such a sick show. And this song hit hard. I was opposite side of you but can we take a moment to talk about how their bassist almost stole the show? Dude was sooo tempted to go full Crab Core.
Yeah, you can tell it's only in certain parts where it's giving assistance, mostly for timing to start verses and the echo effects. Just a little more into the video where the word cemetery is supposed to be, it's completely omitted by Matty and the backing track is not there to fill it in, and the scream is less in duration live than on the vocal track. so people thinking this is an straight up lip sync are exaggerating.
I was there with Aaron and it was a fresh set list. They made sure they played a lot of old ones and mentioned so, with a mix of brand new ones. It was a fun time tonight.
I updated the setlist on setlist.fm as best I could recall, probably messed up the order. But this show MMF was the headliner. On the show you go to the will be second to asking Alexandria so the setlist may be reduced on your show.
On the shows that don't have asking Alexandria it's Nerv, then The Word Alive, then MMF On shows with asking Alexandria I am assuming it's going to be the same thing but AA will be headlining
As stated in other comments, heavy back track used on this new song. It's the only song on the setlist that was like that. I chalk it up to the fact it's new and aren't used to it yet, there for Max assistance to ensure it sounds as good as possible
@@azthegame84 I was so confused for a second, clearly there were playback vocals, but then 2 seconds later there were mic pops with the vocals (to me indicating that part is live)
Why are the crowds so boring these days? Like wtf man looks like I gotta come and start the party be in tennesee soon I will be there at your concert let's go !!!🤙
Yeah... But they probably would ease off the backing track a bit as they go. I'm sure this being the absolute very first time they performed this particular song live, probably took every measure to ensure he gets the timing and vocals down. Just giving the benefit of the doubt cause we all know the dude has the skill and talent.
The album version is less aggressive. That's Matty's vocals lol. I was actually worried about the song after hearing on radio but it's so much better live because Matty makes it better than what he did on studio version. They however do use echo effects at concerts
@@AdamJCastro yes they use backing tracks for certain parts of songs. definitely not trying to defend them here but yeah it's just backing tracks and an autotune module to help compensate. It's why it doesn't sound, live, but I promise you that it is. 😊
Heavy backing track on the new song. Other songs there's none. I saw them again in Atlanta last night and they forgot to turn the mic on and was zero vocals until they turned it on lol
Bro if he does those pitched screams on the studio version in the chorus… this song gonna be a hit

It is hit!
News, it's a hit already!!
Dude, best debut ever
Definitely slapped more live than studio version we heard in the car on the way there.
Guys sounded better than ever, an amazing debut 🔥
I heard this on xm first but man it’s good live!!!
What a great frontman
WE GOT A BLEGH!!!
What a pleasure hearing a new song before no one else 🔥❤️🔥
seeing them tonight so i’m going to keep this playing 😂
How was the show for you?
@@azthegame84 it was amazing!! i went to the New Orleans one afterwards as well 😂
@@NalleliLifts I saw them in Dallas last week and Atlanta 2 days ago lol
Opps.....forgot that he was lip syncing at 0:25....he was "singing" before the mic was anywhere near his mouth, then that mic came up REAL fast!

New song + First performance = Backing track. This is normal in the professional music world.

Oh yeah, this is good.,
THE THALL BREAKDOWN??
Do you happen to know the entire setlist? I’m seeing them live in Houston on Saturday and I’m really hoping for a mix of new and old songs
I was there with Aaron and it was a fresh set list. They made sure they played a lot of old ones and mentioned so, with a mix of brand new ones.
It was a fun time tonight.
The set list wasn't online at the time, but it was a perfect mix of old and new.
It was the same with The Word Alive. New and old. A blast. Enjoy, my dude.

@@azthegame84I'll be seeing them next week in Orlando as the headliner so I'm stoked about that. Did you add The Word Alive's set list too?
Can someone tell me the line up order of the bands for this tour?

Good observation
@@azthegame84 Agreed. A lot current songs, especially this track, are heavily processed, and use backing vocals to layer for doubling.

New Single???
Yup. Debut was yesterday on SiriusXM radio on octane channel. Then they played it live for the first time ever right here.
Was leaked like a week before the release lol
I understand that most bands play with backing tracks but Matty didn’t have to make is so obvious…

For the first time ever, it looks/ sounds like Matty is lipsyncing to a track. That's sad.
