Yet, this isn't music Production. It's synth programming. There IS a difference. A carpenter isn't building a house if he's constantly just sawing wood all the time.
@@nefu_music1 Not anyone. I guarantee that your synth has a 95% chance of having a sub bass preset in its core, so making another sub bass is redundant and the time spent building it would be better served in actually making a song instead of fiddling with knobs and switches. Same goes for other sounds too. Presets are there for a reason. I get it though, ADHD can kill your workflow.
Listening intently, then the force was awakened by the "blue and orange go bears" only colors I need are Green and Gold. Pretty dope vid tho even for a bears fan
Why do Serum users have this obsession with scratch crafting presets when a literal thousand presets already exist, and it's guaranteed that the preset you're making already exists among those you already have, and new ones can be created with a minor tweak to an existing one? Can someone explain this to me?
@@noetikamusic Maybe some people take it too seriously. I go to watch a tutorial on say, making Dubstep. Half the video is the uploader twiddling around with synth knobs in stead of showing how to actually make a song. I mean, have your presets already in order and get to the lesson, chances are, the preset you're making already exists. Besides, I'm sure that the viewer can substitute another sound, and it's best to not just copy what you see, but actually use what you have. Who knows, you may create something unique and inspiring in the process!
Lol how could you not understand the value of doing your own sound design or at least understanding the fundamentals of certain sound types. I have literally never seen a single person ever say "just use the presets bro" up until now
@@hodgepodge2749 Well excuse me for giving a shit about quality music. 95% of listeners couldn't really give 2-shits if an individual sound is unique or perfect. They just care about whether a SONG is good. I get it, you suck at making songs, but you're good at making sounds. I guess there is a difference between those who make noise and those who make music.
It’s not too often on YT that you see such a straightforward piece of advice in the music production scene. Great stuff man I appreciate the work!

@@kiillabytez i think literally anyone would argue that synth programming can be an important step to music production lol

why watch a video focused on sound design then complain about the video being about sound design?
