Johnny, I absolutely loved the Two Towers video game. Played it when I was 10 years old. I enjoyed it so much I did all the bonus content at the end of the game lol
Those Lord of the Rings movie tie in games were my childhood! I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve put in to both the Two Towers and Return of the King! How dare you have an opinion different than mine 😆 guys you broke my heart!
n_e_e_t I recently played Return of the King on GameCube. It’s rough, but for me it still kept its charm. The good thing about those games is that they only take a day to finish. So for a quick trip down memory lane the replay value is there
When you guys started talking about selling your collections to get a system and a game, it struck a nerve. Back in 96 I sold my SNES and the 75 games I had for it in order to buy the N64 and Mario, while it was good I hated that system and regretted getting rid of SNES collection. In order to play one game.
I did the same thing! Biggest regret of my gaming life. I did enjoy the N64, but the two games I got for it at launch did not make up for the 40 SNES games I had to trade in. But they sold me on the marketing: "It's 64 Bits!!" And my immature brain thought: '64 is four times as much as 16, so it must be four times as good.'
Derek Padula Sorry lad more for what I did and I hoped no one else did. At least some can be recovered these day, by digital means, yet some are lost to the ages or eBay.
I enjoyed the N64 but man, the releases were slow as fuuuuu compared to the ps1. I was so jealous of the sheer amount of games in the play station section.

This type of video is great and reminds us of what makes video games so much fun. Keep up the good work.
Hey, I liked two towers. Return of the King was much better though. You get to play as gandald, the hobbitses, and the main three in aragorn, legolas and gimli.

Lol Johnny I loved The Two Towers game, it actually gets better later into the game when you start unlocking new moves and abilities not to mention different characters and levels. I remember way back then first playing it not knowing if I'd like it because they just throw you in an epic battle and you don't know what to do. When you beat the game you unlock one of my favorite modes and its Sauron's Tower, it's an endurance mode up Sauron's Tower fighting wave after wave of enemies picking up small items as you go and it gets harder and harder, if you make it to the top you fight Sauron apparently but I've never made it, fun two player co op
I actually really enjoyed both the Two Towers and ROTK games on the PS2. Maybe I just have my nostalgia goggles on from when I was younger lol, but I definitely had a good time when it first came out.

I had to have a go at Zillion 2 after hearing this. I actually acquired both Zillion games, gifts from a friend, in the late 1990s, but never put much time into them. First, I'll say it was probably the wrong choice to have one of those scrolling bike levels to be stage one. It's definitely tough at first, though easily exploitable. So I can see why Sega wanted to try something different as well. I am surprised to hear that Andrew hated the game almost right away. The Zillion series has some of the best music of all time; Zillion 1 was epic and underated. So cool the Sega light phaser was modeled after the Zillion gun. Would love to see the series revitalized.
That’s hilarious. I had great memories playing two towers and return of the king with friends as a kid. It’s been years since I’ve played them. I wonder if they where actually any good or not lol.
Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete are infinitely better than the Sega CD versions. I feel bad that people were first introduced to the series by those versions of them, and possibly soured on ever giving any a shot again, since the remakes were drastically different experiences.
@@jboo8966 Same here. Me and my brother are actually currently playing through Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete, and prior to that beat Silver Star Story Complete for like the sixth time. lol
Am I tripping or.... isn’t there a good LOTR game on the GameCube or Xbox? I remember playing one and loving it so much. It can’t be the one they’re talking about can it? 🤔🤔🤔🤔
All the LotR games of the PS2 era were amazing. Two Towers, Return of the King and Third Age. Plus if you played on PC you had Battle for Middle Earth 1 & 2. Even Tactics was kinda fun. The only sucky one was the Fellowship of the Ring.
I just wanted to say that because of this video I sat down and tried playing Zillion II, I've had the game since 09 and never really gave it a chance. After a few hours with it I can say it's a pretty good game, I actually beat it, it's not a very long game only 8 stages long. You need to play it untill stage 5 at least, you can turn into a flying mecha kinda thing and the game has some cool shmup sections.
Just cleaned out a closet today and I found all of my old Sega Genesis stuff!! 1st edition console, 2 controllers, 32X adapter and 30 games!! It all still works!! eBay, here I come!! Maybe.....
The Return of the King game was awesome, and The Two Towers wasn't that bad...There are so many worse move tie-ins! But wow that story had me in tears 😂😂😂
NES Back to the Future. I was a little kid obsessed with the movies at the time. I had to play the game, and I was too young to really know better right away. That game was a fantastic lesson in disappointment.
Buck Rogers for the Sega Genesis. This RPG has made me tolerate the issues I have for both Phantasy Star III and Shining in the Darkness. I bought it used and looked everywhere for the first planet you need to visit. I never did and shamelessly handed it off to a friend as a gift.
"How can the game based on the anime that I've never seen be bad!?" had me cracking up :)

OMG seriously!? I felt you on Lunar after you discussed selling your collection to get it, but the Lord of the Rings hack n' slash games were some of my favorites from back when I was younger lol
best channel Holidays 2019
The Zillion series has some of the best music of all time; Zillion 1 was epic and underated.
So cool the Sega light phaser was modeled after the Zillion gun.
Would love to see the series revitalized.
Once you read up about the cryptic puzzles, Simon’s Quest is a great game
I love how honest andrew is, he doesnt mess around lol
That’s hilarious. I had great memories playing two towers and return of the king with friends as a kid. It’s been years since I’ve played them. I wonder if they where actually any good or not lol.
wow didn't expect LOTR on here!
LOTR console games:
Two Towers C+
Return of the King A-
The Third Age: A
Lunar 2 has a cause for hatred, because of the magic point save system.
People who know will back me up.
Zillion had my laughing so hard. Games back then... you didn’t really know till you try.
I died laughing about double Dragon because I was the exact same way! I realized that was the first time trolling was in my DNA lol!
I've only ever played the remakes. Maybe that is why their experiences surprised me.
@@jboo8966 Same here. Me and my brother are actually currently playing through Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete, and prior to that beat Silver Star Story Complete for like the sixth time. lol
The two Towers is the video game of my childhood haha I love it so much
Am I tripping or.... isn’t there a good LOTR game on the GameCube or Xbox?
I LOVED the two towers game back in the day
Tactics Ogre "We all Cling together?". Brutally hard and frustrating. Ironic because Final Fantasy Tactics is one of my favorite games ever.
Seeing you guys sing "Worst game ever made" was cool.
Just cleaned out a closet today and I found all of my old Sega Genesis stuff!! 1st edition console, 2 controllers, 32X adapter and 30 games!! It all still works!! eBay, here I come!! Maybe.....
Working at the Nintendo 1800 help number would of been such a cool fucking job
The Return of the King game was awesome, and The Two Towers wasn't that bad...There are so many worse move tie-ins!
But wow that story had me in tears 😂😂😂
I also got a sega for christmas in '89. Was only 6 yrs old at the time.
NES Back to the Future. I was a little kid obsessed with the movies at the time. I had to play the game, and I was too young to really know better right away. That game was a fantastic lesson in disappointment.
Holy crap I can’t believe you were actually able to make this video because it seems like you love every single video game that has ever been made!
pretty tense moment when Andrew admit about Lunar mistake haha
I can assure you it was way more tense back in the day when I realized what a mistake I'd made!!
Buck Rogers for the Sega Genesis. This RPG has made me tolerate the issues I have for both Phantasy Star III and Shining in the Darkness. I bought it used and looked everywhere for the first planet you need to visit. I never did and shamelessly handed it off to a friend as a gift.
Thank you for mentioning the Nintendo hotline. I was just reminiscing about that the other day. Great memories!
Brink remains my most hated game ever. It looks soooo cool leading up to it’s literally unplayable release.
I remember that shitshow lol. Angry Joe ripped that game a new one!
What? I loved Zillion 2. Remember you could transform from the bike into a flying robot like MOSPEADA.
Andrew's smug face at the last game says it all.
