- Spanglish is a language that's baffled both English and Spanish speakers for generations. Luckily, we have RJ, aka TheNotAdam here to guide us thru the basics of Spanglish.

Francisca Curaqueo Really? That's raro porque we decimos eso all the tiempo.
FLAMA I am Spanish (White and from Spain!) and I say "Voy a Google" or "voy a buscar en google" never heard google-ar or brunch-ear. That sounds Spanish American.
Manuel Roblox En serio nunca has oido googlear?
Manuel Roblox you mean, American spanish
Francisca Curaqueo como no???
How to speak Spanglish: know English. know Spanish. See a friend who knows both. Speaking Spanglish just happens without you trying anything. Congrats.

One of my best friends is Salvordorian. He'll speak perfect Spanish but then I'll hear a random "inkjet printer" in the middle of a conversation
I like Spanglish un poco, pero I don't speak it mucho... lol
I can hablar little Spanglish :v
I think yo puedo talk en español y ingles at the same vez!
osiris the crew just to let you know, you said “I can to speak a little Spanglish”
Ingles is bueno pero Me prefer to hablar español
Puedes decir una frase en ingles and another in spanish like this, es mas facil
You'd be sorprendido by the cantidad of times I've said Shipear

Bella Martinez Hahajaja thank you for compartir este video :)
Does somebody speaks like this? I speak spanish and english, but sometimes i don't remember a word in spanish but i remember it in english, but i will never speak like that. The funny thing is, english is my second language.
Jazmin Half of southern california speaks like this. The closer to LA, the worse it gets and the more made up words there are
Cx
i always use "stalkear" jajaja spanglish power
lmao we say that on brazil too
"dropar" etc
I use the verb "what sapear" for using whatsapp
andale! whatsapp is a noun :P ole!
wasapear
"As long as it's fast and loud...it's effective."
*I CAN'T* 😭😂🤣
It's true tho
I live in spain but have english parents and I speak total spanglish, so for instance the word "rinse" just doesn't come to my mind and I say "tengo que rinsear los platos".
I actually can't remember the word right now...
LOL, this one is definitely the best. 😂
enjuagar
+Sara Cabrer Pero así nade te va a entender.
enjuagar
Sara Cabrer enjuagar o aclarar
3:50 i just imagined yelling the mañanitas really fast and madly lmao "ESTAN SON LAS MAÑANITAS QUE CANTABA EL REY DAVID"
JAJAJAJAJAJAJJAAJA
+Aurora Cervantes Just made my day. That would be hellava hilarious.
+Aurora Cervantes MADRE DEL AMOR HERMOSO CHAVAL ES "ESTAS" NO "ESTAN"
Jajajaj que bueno!
MI ABUELA LEGIT TOLD ME ONCE THAT QUANDO EJA SE MUERA SHE WANT ME TO SING IT TO HER
e-mail = correo electronico ....it does have a translation
+TFtusave Not sure about you, but at least for me it sounds fancy as heck, so I'll just go with "oye, mándame un email".
+WhatTheHeck But it has a translation anyways...
+WhatTheHeck In Colombia it's common to say just "mándame un correo".
+TFtusave El Emailo?
+TFtusave but we don't use it that way. We say "mándame un mail" o "mándame un correo".
"In un place de La Mancha of which nombre no quiero remembrearme, vivía, not so long ago, uno de esos gentlemen who always tienen una lanza in the rack, ..."
Spanglish everywhere...
Annoying but muy necesario. Sobre todo for people that tiene flojera for learn well both idiomas.
"Open Book"
"Open the window pa' que la mosca fly."
Not every person that speaks Spanglish is annoying or lazy to learn both languages well but for example, I was born in California with 2 immigrant parents from Mexico and 2 older siblings and a younger brother and at school we were required to obviously speak English and we could only speak Spanish when it was recess time and at home I spoke Spanish to my parents but also my parents didn't really focus on teaching me to speak Spanish better too also becuz they were always busy so if our Spanish is bad is because we never got the proper Spanish speaking education and I hate how I find it hard to express myself in Spanish and communicate with my parents but I do understand it because it's natural to my ear and it's my parents native tongue.. I notice I would speak English and Spanish trying to express myself to my parents and some words in English are similar to Spanish .. It would be nice if the bilingual kid has proper education of both language and its BULLSHIT when some say oh no because the kid won't learn English well! Are u kidding me?! Yes it will take a bilingual kid longer to talk but with proper education and if no education is offered than a lot of hard work at home but with proper education the kid will no both languages well and they should start in ELEMENTARY SCHOOL or even PRESCHOOL not middle school or high school because my then the mind is usually developed more and little kids learn things faster.. I picked up the language phonetically by my parents and Spanish tv shows and songs...etc
You're right Nicole De La Cruz
Spanish is my mother language. I learned English (if any) by reading. Because my University professors offered us readings in that language. And after that because of my work (international commerce). I'm not fluent speaking English. It's not important if persons speak well or not. But communication does.
Communication is a matter of mercy between people that has no possibilities to express completely their ideas. As far as I can see, no one can express their ideas in a precise and accurate manner. So the speaker always will depend on the interest and effort of the listeners. Listeners must have mercy on us the speakers. Language is just a tool for communication.
As a Northern Mexico inhabitant I was listening for years how Spanish and English have being mixed. Complementing and helping each other in the everyday communication. Inevitably, in few years we'll have a new language. Is the natural metamorphosis of all our languages. The same happened to English that came from Germanic Anglo Saxon dialects enriched by Latin, Gaelic and French. So the same with Spanish (Castellano) that modifies the complex Latin to make it more accessible to Iberian dialects that prevailed in the Hispanic Peninsula, then enriched as well with a lot of French and Arabic words.
I liked Spanglish because who speaks it makes a bridge between the sole English and Spanish speakers.
What results annoying is their use when is not necessary or just for laziness.
Sara Castañeda 'Welcome to this avión'.
Puerto Ricans are the Masters of Spanglish
Like whoa. We could probably teach the master class.
True. I don't take pride in that, though.
Rogue Rodriguez nada que ver foo!
No todos en Puerto Rico hablan Spanglish Creeme
Llanitos from Gibraltar: Hold mi cerveza.
A mi me parece que solo hay two places in the whole world donde hablan TRUE Spanglish.
1. South Florida
2. Puerto Rico
También mi house.
+dochnicht jajaaj si homble ridiculo si ustedes cambian las rrrr x ll
In San Diego too
+dochnicht South Texas. The rio grande valley
XD
This was surprisingly somewhat accurate
RJ and Pablo are both native Spanish speakers, so it was accurate. Well, RJ's spanish sounds a bit gringo-ish. I guess he doesn't use it in his daily life as much anymore.
its funny because "googliar" is apparently an actual word now!
Yup pochismo is becoming a thing in Mexico. A few years back I would get fun of or get confused faces lol but I moved to Mexico and I’ve noticed a lot of words like logear (log in) etc
Lugamo94 "You should email me those documents as soon as you get home"
My son first language is English, but as we are Spanish we teach him Spanish too, He now Speaks Spanglish all by himself.Nobody taught him, he developed his own Spanglish like everybody else who is Latino and proud of it.
with professor Ricardo Aguiar Hernandez Molina Perez Machado Suarez I would never skip classes
"Espero que you take it easy también" xD
Portuñol = yo rindiendo mis exámenes de casa do Brasil
eu quiero un abacaxi amarelo para comer
Growing up I heard this...
"Mira! Deja la fockin mierda y sit down!" East Coast Puerto Ricans are the best ha
The best thing about Spanglish for me is that I am studying Spanish so I understand most of it, but when u combine it with English which I am pretty much bilingual at I understand it so much easier :DD
WTF, just speak spanish correctly and no gringo will catch up, geez even a lot of native speakers can´t catch up, spanish has a neat and sweet collection of huge complex words, grammar structures, modal forms and "arcaicismos" that will K.O. any non native speaker.
BTW... that shit about speaking agressively is sooooooo low life.
i've been thinking of learning Latin just for hell of it but also to see if i can ease my self into into the langues that came from Latin like french and Italian and even get to strengthen my Spanish as well but i want to put more focus on the Spanish from Spain they're a little similar but have some differences from what i've seen.
Lmao. Muy buena guys keep los videos coming.
MGodkillerS13 Gracias! Glad you liked este video.
Este video is so funny. RJ y Pablo guapísimos both of you and will adoro tus vídeos. Espero que you guys keep making este tipo de vídeos i can relate to.
I thought people only mix languages when they forget a word in either language
No it’s a culture, bicultural- bilingual to be exact.
i'm dying bc this is true
+Lea McDalena what about the words acabadas en -ing
-endo -ando c:
same thing in Montréal but with french -- Frenchglish ou franglais
Frenchglish is a bit of a mouthful. I would call it Frenglish.
its sound better like this franglais
Québécois/French, English and Spanish all in the same sentence, that's how you talk when you are born in Quebec, speak Spanish with family and speak French/English at work :P
+Cyn V My thoughts exactly. Eres todo un rookie until you've mastered l'art de changer de langue between español, english et francais!
frananglais c'est mieux
In all seriousness, I'm already looking forward to the "intermediate Spanglish" video!
Yo tambien
Muy glad de que today is viernes y tomorrow es saturday, ya me estaba cansando del school, que shit tengo mucha homework to do this fin de semana y debería start ahora in this preciso moment, i should pero i wont jajajajahahahaha
Jajajaj
+Valeria tv siiiiii jajajaj
That's true here in PR commercials in TV are in spanglish all the time.😃😃😃
Another main reason Spanglish is spoken Is for such a mixture of people who either speak Spanish or English or are bilingual with both. The reason Spanglish is used is so all feel they are a part of the conversation. Say there is a group of 4 -6 at a table eating lunch together. One person only speaks Spanish and one person only speaks English . Spanglish is used so all can understand the conversation maybe not perfect but can still get the idea what is being talked about. So NO ONE feels left out or being talked about .
my spanish teacher habla Spanglish todo el time
I’m taking AP Spanish y mi profesora es igual hahaha
The Ukrainian laguage is a mix of Russian and Polish so in the future Spanglish can become a legitimate and official language
Skarlette Belen Santana Honestly, I pray to God that never happens.
Doesn't ukrainian comes from a finish ugrik language?
no digas tonterias, chata
Hahahaha rapid aggressive spanish definitivamente is la most easy way de evitarse troubles XD
It's so genial poder hablar two languajes at the same tiempo
funny. as a kid i realized i spoke spanglish when i went to visit family in mexico and my cousins were confused and didnt understand me even though i was speaking "spanish".
Vaya a Costa Rica si tu quieres escuchar El Espangles. Lol

Gato Brujo what???? Quiennnn???
pablo hernandez, the latino guy
Gualmarrt (Walmart)
Ping ponging pfft. It's code-switching.
The first lesson is called : code switching
AKA how to speak in Miami
Harder than french. The farthest I got in Spanish class was saquen el papel and lavantanse
Spanglish is an art. Hay que saber como usarlo. Tiene que fluir bien y ser consistent. De esa manera, it's a true joy to the ears~~ ¡Qué viva el Spanglish!
It's funny because I'm just speaking English and all the time I forgot words and just finish my sentence in Spanish and everyone's like wtf
I’m learning Spanish, and so I TOTALMENTE use Spanish Drag 👌🏼
when I try to say "slap" digo slapear xD
ViVi with the I como :'' bitch slapear''?
Spanglish is for people who can't speak either language 😂 or for people who think adding an o or an a makes it Spanish 😆
Lucas Fernandez , that's exactly what my friend Philandria asked me in the third grade if that's how you speak Spanish! By adding an o or an a at the end of words, lol. I thought, "watcho? Nope! That's not it." But come to find out, years later, "watchalé" does become a word in Spanglish! When I was a kid, speaking Spanglish was unacceptable. Now, it seems to be all the rage!
You mean adding an "-o" doesn't make it Spanish? Then what-o have I-o been doing-o this whole time-o?
In spain we add eishon yo sound English or Take away the a and o
Preach
Verdad, si agrega un 'O' oswa 'A', toujou it won't be Spanish pero you must agregar 'ito' oswa 'ita' (pou Feminine). Li travay todo el tiempo.
"brunchar" 😂 If solamente it was a asignatura I will have mejor grades en clase 😂
I had always used "brunche"
That "rapid aggressive spanish" thing is my favourite thing about people speaking spanish
this is a language that only bilingual people who speak both Spanish and English can speak it's why it's so hard
as someone who habla un poco espanol I tend to uso Spanglish mucho
I'm pretty sure I always speak in RAS mode... it's a thing.
Yo: mom dame a taco!
mom: haste your taco!
me: but ma!
@FLAMA there's also a hint to "turn" a Spanish word to English, just add the sound eishon to the end of the word
You are one hell of a writer. Good stuff. Kudos to Will and Pablo.
prefiero hablar solo en español or only in english , not both mixed
I don't know si me gusta por el spanglish or if I like it porque ESTAN MAS BUENOS QUE EL PAN
Necesito parquearme jejeje
Spanglish is proof that no one language will ever dominate. English and Spanish are both huge so just result in new languages forming when they mix, same with Chinese and English
My coworker speaks Spanglish. One of our other coworkers speaks Spanish and French and English. They Usually have lengthy discussions in RAS and we end up with what we want :)
Mi amiga dice, "Fixelo!" cuando algo necesita be fixed. 😜
"juro lealtad a la bandera" lol that was o gracioso I literally fell of mi cama
I do this with French and Spanish by accident it messes me up😂 for example: necesito aller al marché
spanish: necesito + al
french: aller + marché
its so annoying
RAS cracks me up... your grandma's flan recipe? lol eso de la rana cracked me up. 😂
The guy from the demo videos is a Gay Hot Star! I think his name is Pablo!
yes he is, Pablo Hernandez, Andrew Christian underwear model :D
yo no uso RAS i just switch to german or portuguese.
Portuguese? Most Americans would not know the difference.
Yo también
The Spanglish is very dificil! XD
bunchear might be algo like merendar, desayunar? or podrían tell me the definición pls
This sounds like how my dad speaks Portuguese sometimes.
i was watching best vines compilations
Veldig funny! Vi have this in Norsk også! It is really flaut to take dine foreldre who speaks like dette out to en restaurant in the big utlandet xD lol had to. Norweglish? It's so funny, my grandparents just put in Norwegian words when we're out eating abroad and it's embarrassing, but hilarious.
New resident in Norway level: Actually understood what you said and feelinf proud.
thenatigusa Woho! That's awesome! I feel accomplished xD
fui a la tienda A comprar UNAS bananas PERO YA NO HABÍAN ------ like you should not use google translator
You guys are all right, but the correct translation of "sold out" in Spanish would be "vendido." In other words, it should of been "estaban vendidas." The rest of translations mean there weren't any left.
I follow éste canal por que I'm an maestra de español and this videos siempre me lo recuerdan 😂😂😂
I'm French and my English teacher forces us to watch this video for an exercise
In the late 1940s, the Puerto Rican journalist, poet, and essayist Salvador Tió coined the terms Espanglish for Spanish spoken with some English terms, and the less commonly used Inglañol for English spoken with some Spanish terms.
It's so verdad!
Yo siempre speak en spanglish
E-mail= correo electronico
Thats what i was gonna say
Yeah, but that is what it means, we don't have the translation of the word.
I think they just did it to confuse us English folk. Love it. Well played
In El Salvador there are other kind of spanglish words like "Wachar" that means "to whatch", "Shainear, also, Chainear" which means "to shine", or "Change-ciar"(the same pronuntiation of /change/ with the Spanish suffix -ciar) that means "to change, to exchange, to make a deal", and all of them are slangs.
Lol thank you por esto you gave una buena idea. And dile hola to your abuela parte de mi. Yo loco. At least aprendi algo here medio chueco but hay vamos 😂
This is so gracioso!
I thought banana was platano in Spanish
You're right, but I think (I'm not fully sure) that's only said like that in Spain
AbbyRockx56 Banano and Platano are differents
AbbyRockx56 Mexico Spanish is the "unique" middle child of Spanish. We call every yellow curved fruit platano (or platano macho if it's the big yellow-brown curved fruit) since we don't really use bananas in our food due to how not tropical our climate is. It varies regionally though since DF and surrounding areas like to mess with the rest of the country and say "I see what you're doing there but nah" and they call bananas bananas (that's the mildest of their changes to Mexico Spanish). Platano macho we use (not often) for desserts and just grill them or throw them in a blender and smoothie them and regular platano we use pretty much like Americans
AbbyRockx56 plantain = platano, banana = banano or banana(s) depending on the country or region
lol thank you flama , am a mexican girl and who speak english now i can spanglish
why pablo hernandez is so PERFECTO???????????
How raro que when se habla such un mesclado of languages no tengo time para guardar track de los words españoles and of las English palabras. The only cosa que logro process-ear es el meaning de la frase. And encima, none de ambos languages son my native idioma, which hace que the experience me resulta incluso more confusing.
Après, podría ser worst. We could aller jusqu'à mesclar English with el español et le français.
I've heard of 'HebRussian' which is horrible
You live in Israel don't you? Yalla idom kushat za shulchan.
In Clockwork Orange they speak Nadsat which is English and Ruissian combined.
These guys are like the gay puerto ricans from Seinfeld
This is Perfectttiooo!! Exactamente what me and mi mami do all the time
These guys are soooo funny!! Never get tired of watching them I wish they would come out with more videos lol
