Was about to throw my waffle maker away after countless failed attempts of them being floppy and chewy, decided I would use this recipe and give it one last try. It made the best waffles ever!! Will 100% be keeping my waffle maker and using this recipe for years to come... THANK YOU!
Hey! Were your waffles light and soft? The same happens to me, thinking about trying again with this recipe or buying another waffle maker. Mich one do you have?
This is the only waffle recipe that worked for me! I used it in my mini waffle iron and also in pancake form, and it worked well! Fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Thank you!
Hi, I did it today 2nd of July 2020 😊 I know your video is 2yrs ago but it's best for me, I found it easy to do, simple and yummy! I just made 5 waffles out of that batter because our waffle iron is a bit bigger 😄 Thank you Ma'am Carina. Stay safe, from Filipina nanny of Dubai, UAE.
Why havent I found this recipe before! MY way of doing it is instead of 2 cups flour add 1/4 cup corn flour and 1 3/4 flour. It was Very crunchy and light and fluffy. Best Recipe for waffles ever.
Hey! Just wanted to say, I love this recipe! I used it and it turned out wonderful, they were crispy but fluffy and soft. Most of all, they were delicious!
Having waffles again tonight. We tried a different one once because I couldn't find this one right away and the next time I took the time to find this one again. Perfect have turned out every time.
Hi Carina, just wanted to say a big thank you for sharing this recipe! I made it for breakfast this morning for my children and they loved it! Best waffle recipe and only one I'll need! ❤
East or west you are the best. Actually I am of 10 and I am a girl and I wanted a nice breakfast and your video helped me find it , and make it . Your recipe was so nice that I made it 3 times
I made it without separating the egg yolks with the whites and it turned out soo delicious 😋 it was crunchy on the out side and soft on the inside. But if u like your waffles sweet then don’t add salt or add a bit but not a lot but overall it turned out good definitely will recommend but do u know how to make soft waffles and not crispy cuz my siblings don’t like it when it’s crispy but I do
It’s a year later, but I can only think of making waffles like regular, and letting them sit out then you warm it up. Or get an iron that has preferable settings. Because most standard ones finish when the waffle is crispy so it doesn’t stick.
Absolutely perfect. Tweeked the times and temperatures and batter quantities to suit my waffle maker. But still the recipe is perfect. Thank you. Also... Can I refrigerate the batter and use it the next day?
Today is Sunday jun 2020 first time I did waffle and it was amazing oh my god Thnks for yr big help I watch so many video’s and I picked yrs love it and my kid’s also love it
My favourite toppings are unsalted butter with stewed peaches. if short on time, use canned peaches , sprinkld with pecans on top...maybe with whipped cream Yum!
Thanks a lot Can use the same ingredients to make a big batch for restaurant serving? Can the mix stay for hours and use it gradually throughout the day? Love your way of presenting
I usually mix the wet ingredients aside like egg yolk, milk, vanilla and melted butter and then add them to the dry ingredients and mix them all together and then i add the egg white and mix the batter gently and finally i let to rest for about 5 minutes before i use the iron but sometimes it's not crunchy idk why 💔 i will try your recipe
Hi Carina, i jtst came across this recipe. I am not allowed to have anything with milk...can i use buttermilk instead. Would love to have these. It would be great if you can get back. By the way, i am from India .
THanks for the great recipe. I always have a problem with over mixing the batter. it is driving me crazy, is there any specific method that I can follow to avoid having an overmixed batter? a number that I count to? sometimes just looking at the batter is not a good enough indicator. Also, If I want to put the remaining batter in the fridge for a day or 2, do I need to add baking powder? as the texture may change? thanks a million
Most people say that the trick is to mix your batter slowly & gently. So you're mindful of how much you're mixing. And once you see that there's no dry ingredients (or flour) left, you should stop. Even if you see lumps in your batter, just ignore that. Your goal with mixing should be to see that all wet/dry ingredients mix well. The moment you see that this has been accomplished/done, you should stop or else you risk over-mixing your batter. I am not aware of the answer to your second question, so I apologize. But I've seen that some people like to finish the waffle batter on spot, and keep the extra waffles in fridge and heat them up again in the waffle iron when they need it. But I don't think you can keep waffles for more than 2-3 days max.
Hello dear ... I tried this recipe and it turned out really well. I have a question if I want to make chocolate waffle then should I replace flour. Please do reply
I recently followed a very similar recipe and the waffles came out wrong, heavy not fluffy and light at all. But after watching a couple of videos including this one I realize it is my fault. The written recipe didn't account for a novice like myself and didn't explain how to properly mix the batter. I took a hand mixer to it and really mixed the heck out of it and then folded in the whites (i didn't even know what folding really means :-) and went to town with the mixer again. No wonder I failed :( Kids still ate them but I was not thrilled and was totally confused will all the positive recipe comments. But now I know better (pun intended) and will try following this video. Dealing with dough is just such an art no wonder people buy pre-made mixers but I am not giving up :) My advice though follow the video and take it easy on that batter.
Definitely be careful with the batter 😊 Mix too long and you'll have very flat, dry, and tough waffles! I hope you try again and let me know what you think.
ive gone to Belgium trust me they have some kind of sorcery there their waffles seem to have an extra sugar glaze on it which ends up crispy and its f***ing heavenly
Was about to throw my waffle maker away after countless failed attempts of them being floppy and chewy, decided I would use this recipe and give it one last try. It made the best waffles ever!! Will 100% be keeping my waffle maker and using this recipe for years to come... THANK YOU!

did you put the egg yolks in the batter with de dry ingredients?
What flour did you use? All purpose or bread or cake flour? Thank you!
I pop my finished waffles in the toaster for that finishing extra crispy texture.
Hello dear ...
I tried this recipe and it turned out really well. I have a question if I want to make chocolate waffle then should I replace flour. Please do reply
Hi! I would add about 1/3 cup of cocoa powder and maybe 1/4 cup less flour. This is just an estimate though 😊
Woow looks good.
background music is really soothing...anyone knows the name of the soundtrack?
I think it's Water Lily
Can i subtitute milk with water instead?
What's the name of that waffle maker? Or which one is the best to buy?
What kind of flour do you used?
I like your recipe

Can i use olive oil instead?
Can we skip sugar altogether?
Can I put more sugar?
Cos I'm not use icing sugar or whipping cream.
Just made the recipe and it turns out so good!! I use cheap waffle toaster so the shape is not that great but the texture is delicious nonetheless 🥰
Love your waffle maker
ive gone to Belgium trust me they have some kind of sorcery there their waffles seem to have an extra sugar glaze on it which ends up crispy and its f***ing heavenly
I used to leave there and would always get those after classes 😭 Miss those times
Exactly!!! Thats how I remember it. Im glad someone confirmed it as I thought i am just imagining things hahaha.
