    I like to cut up cabbage (season it), then put it in the bottom, then slice kielbasa and lay it over top and air fry until they’re done to your desired level of doneness. So good!

      Hi Lynn, what do you season the cabbage with? I want to give it a try.

    • @auntlynnie
      @auntlynnie Год назад +2

      @@99shadows66 Salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, & caraway seeds (if you have them) are a good start - not too much salt, because the kielbasa is salty, but enough to get it breaking down.

    I noticed you used a metal spatula when you stir the food in the air fryer. I prefer plastic so it doesn't scratch the coating in the air fryer pan.

  • @mariaalvarado8546
    @mariaalvarado8546 Год назад +8

    You're going to mess up your air fryer by scraping it with metal utensil. Use tongs or spatula this will help not scrap the coating on it and food will not stick to the air fryer. By the way great ideas some of these I haven't tried yet.

    This is the first air fryer I have ever owned. It works well ruclips.net/user/postUgkxD4Qeo-HRLxMfom_PDinM_SBfes00qJsB and, if you use the proper supplied silicone tray, keeps the food separate from the oil\grease of cooking. I cooked pizza, hamburger, lasagna, etc all with good results. (I also purchased some paper inserts to cover the silicone trays, just not to have to clean the trays.) Recommended. Just make sure to REMOVE the PAPER INSERT below the air fryer tray before using the air fryer! And yes, I have experienced a bit of an "electrical"-type smell after cooking items. It seems to have gotten less with time and did surprise my nose the first time I smelled it.

    Thanks for your suggestions !!
    My suggestion to you would be to stop using METAL UTENSILS, and use other softer materials ( silicon, wood, etc ... ) not to scratch the potentially harmful ( when ingested ) TEFLON COATING !!!!

    Concerned about using metal tools to scrape the bottom of the AF grill. Shouldn't silicon tipped tools be used to avoid damaging the non-stick coating?

    For meatballs I do them in a Corning dish and add BBQ sauce, marinara, or meatloaf ketchup glaze partway through and you get a great glazed meatball when you’re done

    I did buy these mats and I love them!!!! I use them for a lot of things. Don't want to damage my countertop either. But, the best way I used them was.......I'm old and had to kneel on the floor to get in bottom cupboard and used them as knee pads! Don't judge, I was desperate! LOL!!! About the frozen precooked chicken....I have had better luck with 360 degrees and 12 minute cooking time. I want them cooked in the middle and not hard on the edges.

    I've enjoyed your videos, still an air fryer novice and love my instant pot. This suggestion might be in another video I haven't seen yet, but if it's not, I love bison hot dogs! That will be on my shopping list to use in the air fryer. A great dip for a bison hot dog when you don't have buns is ketchup and Worcestershire or A1 together. I use it with regular hot dogs too because I don't always buy buns.

    For the egg and toast, I cut at least a 1 inch thick slice of sourdough bread and carefully hollow it out. I scramble the egg(s) in a bowl, slice cherry tomatoes, onion or even garlic depending on the queen mothers wishes on that day. Salt, pepper, garlic powder, cumen (depending on what you like) and then shredded Mexican cheese all gets mixed in. 385 for 9 minutes in my Instant Vortex

    For the egg in a hole I take a strip of bacon and make a circle with it. Place that on top of the bread and put the egg inside the bacon. It acts like a little basket and contains the egg so you don't have the mess.
