This song's lyrics are literally even darker than Pumped Up Kicks imho because of the scathing politically-charged lyrics brilliantly concealed in an almost absurdist facade, as opposed to using macabre imagery to allude to something completely different.

I saw that video (and comment) but I didn't realise it was from between the two versions! If he did copy that kid's fill then that is super cool. Though listening to it now, i think he's talking about the little "dum dum" at 2.50 and it sounds exactly the same in both versions.

I actually prefer this version, but the Grum remix in the Inbetweeners Movie is how i discovered this song! Both are badass either way. The acoustic version is actually pretty good to.

Totally brilliant - the producer has taste.
I just discovered them two days ago and I can't stop listening to them all day long!! They are brilliant and the most fresh sound of the decade! And this song just smokes. What I admire about them is that in their sound you will discover the great heritage of some of the greatest bands of the 70s-80s. Like YES for example. But they have their own uniqiue new sound and that's what is remarkable about Everything Everything!
