I loved the short film , the dialogue is a bit stiff and seems un-realistic to how people normally talk. Just a pointer for when you write your next script!

It’s very hard to write a script & have the dialogue seem real. I’m in a screenwriting class and my professor always makes sure that the dialogue doesn’t seem forced .

So this is just my honest feedback because I like your content and your work a lot so... yeah
I thought this was shot and edited beautifully. The scene that stood out to me the most was when the pastry girl was lying on her car with the music - loved that. I instantly wanted to know who this girl was. However I felt like the writing was a little on the weak side. I found it difficult to believe. As a bi girl I really wanted to believe it but I just wasn't buying it. I think maybe instead of the scene where the interview is stalled, we could have seen them having their interview which could grow more intimate over the course of the conversation. I didn't really feel the chemistry between them. I wonder if some shots of the journalist from the pov of the pastry girl when they first met might have set it up. I don't really know.. I'm not great at constructive criticism. I also didn't like the "people who say they can't don't try hard enough" message, felt like that was a little bs since that is not the case for everyone (but I guess this is more of an opinion so whatever). However, despite all of that it was shot beautifully and I really do appreciate what you are doing. It does not look like you're shooting it without a budget at all. I love this idea of putting out a short film a month because I feel that you'll only improve more and more on your writing and the shots will be even more beautiful! I hope my comment doesn't discourage you in any way, or come off like I'm telling you how to do your job, I just wanted to attempt to give some constructive feedback. I am really looking forward to whatever you next put out. I really like your style. Just feel that the writing could use a little work!
I also agree there was a pacing issue I just couldn’t solve but I like the idea of the actual interview. Dang it where were you when I was writing this hahaha

Idk if it's the actresses, or the writing, or both but this feels a little awkward and stiff lol still good but the short film before this, in comparison, was on another level.
Looking at both experiences, I would say it's my lack of direction to the actors. I write in a certain voice. That voice is usually that of a pretentious asshole who talks like they're reading a poem. That's because that's how I speak ordinarily. With my reaction videos and what not, people find that fascinating because I know how to deliver it PASSIONATELY but not everyone speaks this way.
See, with 1 in 10k, I actually sat down with the actresses and we ran rehearsals, sort of eased the groove on lines, and I even directed them on how to deliver certain lines to match the tone. I didn't do that with edible and I see my err in that. My friend, Kerstin who plays Val in this short, only gave me a few days heads up that she was visiting LA so I whipped up this script quickly, and then focused intensely on the visuals, doing shot planning, etc. But I let the rehearsals fall through the cracks. I should have ran rehearsals and then fix the language in the script to match THEIR speaking style.
I really like my visual work here. I focused on the cinematography a lot because I felt like my cinematography in 1 in 10k suffered due to us shooting run and gun, but alas, my story element suffered. I suppose that's what happens when you rush a project but it's a learning experience!
i love the cinematography, but the dialogue seemed a bit off to me. i think it was the pacing? they always seemed to give answers too quickly, gave the impression that they weren't having a conversation but were just reciting the script
Hey pd, i just wanted to thank you for this, it came at just the right time. The elections's results came out here in Brasil some hours ago and a disgusting, racist, homophobyc man had 49% of the votes, and so many people are scared of going out and manifastating their opinions right now, people of the lgbt+ community and women have received threats already... It's really special for us to see support in media, so again, thank you. Just thank you.

You guys have made an absolutely spectacular film, the scenes were shot beautifully, but the dialogue was a bit weak and slightly unrealistic. My favorite short film!
Even though this is low (basically nothing) budget i am in love with this short film. Music wise was pleasing, visual wise was pleasing, stroy line plot wise is was beautiful. To me it didn't seem stiff. I actually liked it. Theres no time to form chemistry in this type of situation. They did vibe from the start and cupcake girl had little time to shoot her shot before the journalist had to leave.

Holy. Shit. I know literally NOTHING about cinematography but this was honestly SO beautiful. What I DO know a little bit about is the power of words and this entire film is just. So full of powerful lines that hit so close to home for a lot of us and kind of really strike a cord with me personally. I've been struggling a lot with college because I've been pushing back what I truly want to do because it had always felt like an unrealistic dream. Only recently have I taken a step back and asked myself: Why? Why is it unrealistic? Fuck that. Like, I honestly teared up at this? Everything about this is a masterpiece and I really really really hope you're so incredibly proud of this. I sure as hell am.

I think that's very good. I'm not an English speaking guy, so I've not the necessary liguistic sensibility to judge the script and it's interpretation, but it seemed very natural and I've the feeling that the actresses are talented. Keep on the good work. By from Italy.

I liked this film. I really enjoyed the message of taking the leap and just saying yes. If you want to follow your dreams, you have to take a chance and say yes. Great message.
Finally I had time to watch the movie. I have to admit, I didn't foresee the end like that. I honestly expected "Tobi" to make her reporter an interesting offer (blame my dirty mind, not me) but it's nice how it turned out. Even without a budget you can get something up and running. It doesn't always have to be Hollywood.
