Most female SEAL candidates struggle with carrying the boats and logs, doing pull ups, having grip strength and completing the “Dirty Name” on the obstacle course. Also, a lot of female SEAL candidates break their legs or develop stress fractures.
A woman made it to day 4 of BUD/S first phase recently but she quit on day 4. That’s the farthest a woman has made it. Her BUD/S classmates told me that her class hated her and ran her out from under the boat because she was a boat ducker. Nine women have entered the SEAL pipeline since 2016…

"I'm Sorry". "No harm no foul brother" - That's how it's done. Went to a class in church many years ago with an athletic, well dressed & well mannered, but unassuming guy who never really said much. He seemed like he was content to let everyone else do the talking & just chill in the back. I forget what we were all talking about, but his Wife made the comment that he was a SEAL - you could've heard a pin drop. It got dead quiet in there, we had known him for a long time but again he Never talked about himself. We simply said: "You're a SEAL??" (brilliant question, right?). He just shrugged & said: "Yeah, I don't really talk about it much". We took the hint, Thanked him for his service & moved on with the discussion. There are different kinds of people in the world, That however seemed to exemplify "The Quiet Professional". He didn't need a bunch of accolades & didn't even want the extra attention. Some Do... Appreciate All of the Men and Women who now serve our Great country and those who came before. May God watch over them all & may God Bless America as well. Peace!

@@Anonymous18817sorry to say it, but regardless of what you do in preparation your chances of making it are slim and none, unless they drop the standards. When the standards are dropped then it all goes to hell because men that shouldn't be there will infect the teams as well. Women are an asset to the military, but they don't belong in combat arms.

I was Navy (No, not a SEAL. Knew some but regular Navy.) and a Chief Petty Officer said the movie with Charlie Sheen (It was not released yet in 1985. Just in development.) was a bad idea.
Just like the "Green Berets" move was bad for them. It made it too public that (Political) pressure wouldn't make them change the standards to too low, and get bad candidates they couldn't fail out.
Also that the had an "air of mystery", and not knowing what they were capable of doing filled the enemy with fears they gave themselves.
The Achille Lauro (1985) hijackers heard the Navy SEALS were coming and decided that getting off the ship was the best course of action.
They were genuinely scared s*%tless they were coming, after hearing how they performed in Lebanon (Before the Beruit barracks bombing.) and left the ship.
I don't think those Somali pirates were as impressed. Still ended up dead, but unimpressed.

Huge respects for SEALs...been deployed on SOC MEUs with SEALs on my ship as a Marine....*&^holes would get best of us on a few training missions LOL, but these fine warriors have some huge egos and need to check themselves at times, just as we Marines did as we are also full of ourselves at times LOL

When you're at the level you guys are, egos are to be expected. Should probably be tempered some, but you're still among the top .01% in terms of human performance.
This is the definition of a real man. Not many people will man up when they are wrong. We're all human, we all make mistakes...it's what you learn from them mistakes that counts. Much respect and love to our military personnel. They will forever be in my thoughts and prayers.

tbh I love how these days being a seal is basic youtuber qualification.
Being a “professional” you really need to check your ego at the door. I’m a Marine not a SEAL, but Strickland running his sewer should’ve just been ignored IMO. He was baiting a reaction, and achieved precisely what he was looking for. I understand a “boot” getting sucked into the drama especially essentially growing up with social media, but mature senior professionals need to just go “tool bag” to themselves, and move on with your day/week/month etc etc.
Of course people who have never served are gonna have some sh** to say! This is real professional the way it was handled and shoutout to both men for understanding that the back and forth was not necessary and settling the BS! Great job by both men!
