The Datai is Heaven on Earth
This was seriously the best place I’ve been to. The service is absolutely amazing!! The trees and amount of different animal species there are countless!! Such a wonderful place I sure will come here again!!

I stayed in same Beach Villa in 2015 , it is the best resort i'd stayed so far in Datai. I realize not much have change after the renovation for the villa

That is the most beautiful villa I’ve seen. On par with those in Aman Resorts.

Dear Mr K, hv been a quiet follower of your magnificent channel for years. Got a question about Langkawi. Thinking of bringing my family of 4 adults there for a 4D3N potato break. Based on all your reviews there, between Ritz Carlton, St Regis & The Datai,.What would you recommend to be the best place to go to in terms of accommodation quality, service & ambience? Not a budget traveler so price is not a concern. Many Thanks in advance. Will ask you about the Maldives sometime soon 😉

Nice to see the hotel and grounds, we are staying there in August 2020. Small points on the video though. You stated where you were too many times, we know its the Datai, it's in the description. Too many times saying about the F1 Grand Prix etc. Edit your video so less walking/shaking the video. Try to film parts of the hotel rather than a fast clip not showing anything. Lastly, a Bentley is not a Rolls Royce, two completely different cars. Other than that, the video is nice to see the hotel and grounds.

I enjoy his style of taking a video.. unlike the rest on youtube who are so focused on every tiny detail. His style of showing the surroundings a few rounds is enjoyable, he talks naturally and the 'shakiness' gives a more natural feel. It's all good.
Heading to Langkawi in May with my wife. I was wondering which is the best out of the Datai, Four Seasons or Ritz. Love the videos
For a first time visit, Four Seasons is the best. If you like the jungle feel, then The Datai..

So, of all of the seven (7) resort hotels in which you have now stayed in Langkawi, which would you rank as being the top TWO properties?
Actually 8, my mistake on video - Datai, FS, RC, St Regis, Andaman, Danna, Taj and Westin. I'd say Datai best, and Four Seasons/Ritz Carlton joint 2nd best... biased coz I got the highest room category Beach Villa here...
Dr K, 9 actually! U hadn't include Sheraton. U were there in late Sep 2013! Remember you were walking in the rain late in the afternoon!

across the board Four Seasons best. Next time I'll stay at Four Seasons Langkawi in a Beach Villa and that would be a fair comparison. This place is great though...
