To those of you getting rejected while reseting here's an option, Download drivers from EPSON support. (Mine was the ET-2800) Then try the reset again. Should work. (If you have the option to use USB instead of WiFi I recommend it. It may not be needed) In case the printer sat for a while due to this error and doesnt use ink when printing you may need to run a few power cleans via the printers maintenance options. I learned that the latest update causes the rejection due to drivers in some way.

Yes the 2850 is not even in the list if you check the supported list mine isn't even there ..jeez ..I think it may be time for a new printer ..grrrrr lol

After installing the printers drivers onto my computer (From EPSON support) I was able to reset the error with the key reset (has to be wired via USB). Printing worked then but I had a separate issue where it printed but no ink flow, but after about 7 power cleans via the maintenance options it started to print fine. TLDR Instal printer drivers Reset error via key reset 'Should' be good to go

BUT ive only printed about 372 pages and i am getting the message my ink pad is almost at the end of life. did this happen to you and maybe it just kept telling you that for the duration of the "80% recharge"? if i got 80% back i should be able to print 8,000 before getting the message again :(

Why do I have to get a reset key? I mean shouldn't there be a reset button in the printer's menu? I have the ET-2850.
On my printer I didn’t have any reset button

So i've tried this and the WIC just keeps freezing after I input the trial code. Epson 2800 with windows 10 64 bit.
Try reinstalling wic reset, see what happens. Its weird its freezing.

That's unusual if you only printed about 372 pages. Did you retry it?
Same here, after 2months I got the message again and I only printed 200plus pages.

depends how much head cleanings you did, the trial version sets your ink level in tank to 80% full, not empty @@chinitta12
