@@Serendipityjimin95 take Lewis Carol's lesson about the spirits blessing the pots of the poor... Eat simple. Work hard. Sleep good. Use simple, basic natural products. Respect mother nature. Foster healthy patterns and relationships. Be kind. Feed your brain. Emulate traits you admire in others, and the faults you see in others, recognize in yourself. ❤
Which is where the classism and systemic poverty trap come in. Smart people acquire consciousness of that, and hate the right people for it. The rich won't save us.
80% of this stuff needs money( good cosmetic products, good quality clothes, quality of food and proteins, manicure….so you have to glow up financially first and the other glow ups will come on automatically
basic beauty routines can be done on a budget tho! my routine consists of *clean* skincare, it can b a bit pricey to invest in natural good quality products but to me _less is more_ so i only use one of each: chapstick, a toner, eye cream, moisturizer, sunscreen, & a youth oil at night. no need to spend on 30 diff products!! u can find good natural skincare brands for cheap at tj maxx, thats also where i buy my press-on nails & haircare/bodycare stuff. drug store for makeup & shopping for cute clothes at the thrift is always my go-to. im also a diy selfcare girly so i learned to do my own makeup, mani/pedi's, lashes, eyebrows, shaving, and cut/dye my hair at home. buying the stuff to diy is more affordable than paying someone else for the services, it takes some practice n' patience but its all worth it & is so fun to do imo!
I lost many years neglecting myself due to some episodes of depression and survival mode. Growing up I used to love makeup, fashion, jewelry, etc until some point I decided I no longer cared about that or it was pointless. Since I started my healing journey I gained interest on all of this things again and I know why, when we have something we love as humans it's in our nature to upgrade those things, decore, adorn them as a way of adoration, like a house, a car, a garden (million of examples) and no one thinks that's "vain", well why not to do the same thing for ourselves!? Get the best clothes, the jewelry, the skincare products, all within your possibility! I've done that and I feel so much better, I deserve it, we all deserve it 😊
I love this! Yes that’s so true. I’m feeling the same I used to always love taking care of myself and now I have just neglected it. I’ve tried incorporating it again and doing small things like wearing my jewellery and getting my nails done. X❤
This is my story too. I was a girl who loved to wear jewellery and makeup and workout but then my toxic mother tricked me into thinking that these were attempts to make an ugly girl (me) pretty. She literally said there is no point in doing all that as I'm born ugly. I wasted years bcoz of that. Now I'm back to all those things I loved as a little girl
wholeheartedly agree, i was struggling with low self esteem/ not feeling worthy in general and would go to university just wearing baggy sweaters, no makeup whatsoever and i think sometimes i forgot to brush my hair smh, you need to do the inner work and deal with emotional issues!! it is pivotal in one's healing journey
I went on vacation to Italy last month. Beforehand I had this conception that all Italians are walking around like models and just overall beautiful. That really wasn’t the case. They, for the most, part look similar to where I live, BUT most took pride in how they presented themselves. They dressed well, were hygienic, and walked with correct posture. No PJs, crocs, and huge graphic tees in sight. Hair was done and makeup on point. It does make a difference! I personally don’t believe in prof optional beauty treatments. It’s an another avenue to consumerism. I don’t think plastic surgery should even be considered unless it relates to previous medical issues (such as having a mastectomy and then wanting implants). Believe me, I work in a plastics OR. You don’t want it unless absolutely necessary it let necessary! Infections can be lethal.
Exactly. My mom worked for a church, and the minister and his wife made a modest income. But- their clothing was always immaculate. Not couture or anything high fashion. But his dress shirts fit perfectly and were always ironed and crisp. Pants neat, with a sharp pleat. He looked like a million bucks. His wife was always immaculate as well. Neat, crisp, well fitting clothes. People underestimate these details.
That was one of my favorite things about Rome. Men and women took pride in their appearance. It wasn't about labels, it was about classic clothes and accessories on clean and properly groomed bodies. Coming back to the US was such a cultural shock. It's kind of like some Americans have given up and their depression is (sadly) obvious. The best thing? We can change our lives right now, this moment. Interesting video, thought provoking!
I would also add the quality of your relationships to the bottom of the pyramid. I was bloated in my last toxic relationship and I mistakenly took it as weight gain when in reality that man I was clinging on to was keeping my cortisol levels out of wack.
I 100% attest to this! I lost so much weight when I was with my abuser, I went down to 47kg as a 163cm girl. It got me so sickly thin it even appeared in my dark circles and hair density
So our appearance is a direct reflection of our mental state. We can change our appearance. Example when I’m sad and depressed I look sad and depressed. My fave isn’t happy. My skin is dull and breaks out. My hair started falling out. Stress is a beauty killer.
The magic is, it works the other way around too. Maybe I'm gonna the called frivolous for this, or maybe it's because I'm an artist, but when I've struggled with some stressing times, and *still* was able to take a ahower, moistures my skin and putting some non-horrendous clothes, I felt a bit relieved at the end of the day. Then doing it twice a week, then adding some cute earrings, or changing purses... The stuff that looked like an impossible mission surprisingly felt like a game, a cute time for playing and enjoy. I felt strong, and loved, and pretty. So I will add: beauty is a stress killer!
I do believe this pyramid to be rather toxic, ngl. To directly suggest women to resort to these superficial (and also expensive) solutions to gain "maximum aesthetic" is promoting an unhealthy mindset. Mental health and a self loving image can change your appearance and attractiveness SO MUCH more than any treatments or surgery could ever give you. Not talking about the basic health and dressing according to your body type etc.
I agree, I was actually shook. Like talking about shaving your armpits as if this is the standard. It’s cool if it’s personal preference but talking about it as if it’s an important step to beauty is nuts since it was me embracing my body hair which unlocked a new feeling of beauty in myself. I feel like this video lacked the most important part about beauty. Which is embracing the self. I stopped shaving since February and I feel more feminine and more sexy. And people notice because I notice 💯. And people are not as impressed by looks as by people they see that lack in beauty standards but are undoubtedly in love with their own face/body/style/energy
Very toxic. Many women glow up, look gorgeous and still feel absolutely worthless. Your worth does NOT depend on your looks AT ALL. Beauty should be for fun, not to hide your trauma.
I totally agree! I had this idea that the topics of the pyramid would reveal things like "mental health" or "self love" because then you smile and show a confident energy which makes you more attractive. But instead it was all of these very superficial, exspensive and toxic things that are expected of women all the way through. I don't think you're neccesarily more beautiful if you have shaved your armpits., eyelash extensions or filler. Actually the opposite. You just look unnatural.
Be extremely careful if you go for lasers, fat removal or coolsculpting. People have permanently scarred, ruined and deformed themselves this way. It's roulette. Don't take my word for it, either, check relevant health/beauty forums and subs.
Agreed. That's why I do low level improvements like microneedling every 6 weeks and hydro facials. I figure when I'm 60, I'll get a mini- lift. My mom had one 20 years ago and it made her look well rested but not "over done".
@@CollieNike3 fine if it worked for you, genuinely glad you had a good result. For every person who does, a few or several others do not. As I said, roulette.
I just wanna let you know. your "Glow Up Pyramid" has helped me to take care myself despite my clinical depression. Now I am able to brush & floss my teeth, cleanse my tounge, and take a shower, mostly in daily basis, thanks to you. God who will repay and reward you with beautiful things. You're such a beautiful soul.
I would say kick toxic people out. Even if it's a parent, a partner, a friend. You have no idea how much stress from negative people will age you and make you stay frumpy. I personally am not a makeup person, but I take good care of my skin, since I don't wear it.
Exactly, couldnt agree more, ditched my mother, my ex husband and several times left toxic working environment, works like a charm when 20 years of antidepressants and antipsycotics didnt make the slightest difference.
Shower atleast once a day & wash your private areas everytime you use the toilet. Clean under wear everyday if you can't afford wash it before you go to bed & dry it. Baby 🧼 is affective use it once a week down there. Both behind & front. Then you can upgrade.
Its completely fine to use soap down there. Just not inside. I don't know where y'all are getting the idea that you don't need to wash there. WHEREVER HAIR GROWS SHOULD BE CLEANED. The actual hole, is self cleaning, so leave the inside alone. @c6mh4
I think this is interesting but I think there is a step between professional grooming and basic grooming that I would call advanced grooming, this would include at home manicures, at home waxing, advanced at home skincare, at home exfoliating treatments, Gua Sha, home massage, dying your own hair, etc. basic grooming imo is rolling out of bed washing face brushing teeth showering, brushing hair but not heat styling it.
the only thing i’m baffled about is plastic surgery being at the top. i actually feel like energy should be there because your energy has such an impact on how attractive you are and so many people never reach that level
While I'm not willing to do anything invasive, you are so right about how the majority of people look so disheveled. It's appalling how people present themselves these days. In my home I dress in cute shorts and a tank top. I want to look and feel good for myself first and foremost. I'm 66 BTW and workout at the gym, walk and trying Pilates for the first time next week. I have well maintained long hair that's my natural silver color, dress stylish, stay health conscious and stress free. Life goes by quickly, ladies, so enjoy your young years to the max. However, women can look beautiful and fit at any age if they make it a priority. I really enjoy your videos. I wish someone had taught me much of your content when I was much younger.
this made me really happy to read 😊 some people don’t understand why you still wanna look cute if you’re not going to go outside but it’s like, i still gotta look at me too 😂 and it’s just a psychological thing - when i look good, i feel good! i feel confident but not just in the typical sense - i feel more capable and motivated to get things done which is something i need as someone who deals with chronic conditions and to not stay in a low vibration / mood; especially as someone with a history of depression it’s a quick slippery slope 🙂🙃 that said, i still wake up sometimes when the sun is shining on me and look in the mirror first thing and think dang i look good which is why i can brush off comments about “make up = self esteem” 🙄 but not to end on a downer; your comment is aspirational and i hope you enjoy pilates! ☺️ i wanna get back into it (currently do boxing / box fit) but i think i‘ll go for aerial yoga/pilates as it looks so fun! ❤
@wildflowerslie totally agree with the bit about self care and its effect on mental health and feeling "capable". I was recently diagnosed with PTSD and one of the talking points was my relationship with my body and self care
Also fixing, our cortisol level is crucial to look and feel your best, feeling already like the best version of your self and self-love is also recommended
@@deathbyjeanette there are many signs, like a puffy face, weird cravings, cellulite, under eye bags, always fatigued and at night time you're awake, frequent peeing, waking up at about 3 am. You can also have it tested with your saliva I think.
There are DHEA-S and Cortisol saliva tests....AM and PM - 5 salivary measurements at different timing. Sea salt, magnesium plus electrolites relieve greatly simptoms, Seriphos at night if night cortisol is high. If last stage morning or day cortisol low bioidentical Hydrocortison 5mg twice a day does the job. I took it together with Seriphos at night for 2 years and now I am cured of Adrenal Fatigue 3rd stage. Getting rid of toxic peop.e and working enviroment is vital. I am 56.
Such a valuable video! I don’t often promote books, but the book women’s magic truths on borlest is an exception. It’s packed with insights on wealth and self-care that are not widely known. All the best to everyone
Since my pssy and armpits are dark and lush I feel like a goddess. It’s crazy how much more embodied I feel through letting it grow. Feel way more in my feminin goddess essence. I had an insecure day which is why I clicked the video, but overall my feeling of sexiness and beauty have transformed since I let it grow. I think beauty is about embodiment not about step one shave your armpits, step two put lip gloss on (I love lip gloss tho). You can have all the beauty in the world if you’re not carrying yourself like you own yourself you‘re not going to feel it. I think the most important part about beauty is the embrace of yourself. ❤
I recently started investing a lot more time into my appearance. My skin is pretty clear now thanks to diet and skincare, but I've never been one to wear a lot of makeup. I've recently started using it to increase my face's visual weight/contrast, and today did my eyebrows properly for the first time in ages along with some basic black liner and mascara to enhance my eyes, plus a simple complimentary lipstick. With that, I went out wearing a dress I've never gotten comments on, and got 5 compliments on my outfit and look lol. No other changes aside from basic hygiene, some visual weight-focused makeup and clean clothes. The small things really do add up
As someone with high level chronic pain and fatigue- I absolutely hate this constant need to look ‘presentable’. I really wish people wouldn’t place such importance on this. FYI my pain starts if I’m standing and walking for more than 3 mins. Life is difficult enough. My pain levels kick off the moment I start showering. By the time I finish drying hair, putting on make up, choosing clothes- I’m in absolute agony and my mood is terrible while I’m out. I’m an awful person to be around with because I had to sacrifice my pain levels to try look presentable. This doesn’t make sense to me. I think my loved ones would rather I look like a bum and not be in pain. If people placed more importance on learning how to detect the beauty in people’s souls, this world and relationships would be so much better
Not that I don't agree, but we are fundamentally, neurologically wired to feel a lot of these things - it even applies to the rest of the animal kingdom. Appearance helps us gauge a lot of social cues (albeit, they can be VERY incorrect). Halo effect is real. We should be better than wild animals, but we're not. I wish we were. It would be nice if I could say I wholly do the self care I do for myself, but realistically it's 90% for myself and 10% for the societal gain it gets me, which in a roundabout way is doing it for myself ig but to a superficial level. You don't have to run in the rat race - you have ample reasons to tell superficial people to fuck off. Don't let this content bog you down. I buy into this and so does Vickita because we have the means to - what we like doesn't have a right to dictate what makes you happy though. Find people who love you for you and just make peace for yourself in your life.
You always give me new things to think about, I'm so grateful. I've never heard of neither lip blushing nor sleep cocktails, they both sound really interesting.
sleep cocktails don’t only help you sleep good they also make you feel amazing when you just pour them in a nice wine glass with some pretty fruits on it
Vickita! You just hit your viewers with the absolute truth and pearls of wisdom. I love watching your videos and learning from you. You are kind to be doing this. Could you maybe do a video or two on how to handle social anxiety, especially workplace anxiety, and how to stay focused on one's career?
I just keep enchancing myself a lil bit from time to time and of course look after my skin etc, go for mani/pedi, but as an artist my sleep schedule is 💩 'cause I thrive in the night! That's when I got the most inspirations and ideas :) And I work from home so it's easy to let myself go when I don't need to step out of my bedroom/house. I'm happy that I really love my features and I consider myself really lucky to have been born looking like this, but proper maintenance is equally important! And fitness! Due to our mostly now sedentary livestyles it's ultra important. Need to hit the gym again ^^"
PLEASE PPL READ THIS I totally DON'T AGREE and people I hope you don't listen her . You totally don't need all of this to be prettier . And most people that did most of this look ridiculous and uglier than people that didn't do any of this . My recommendation for you is . 1. Shower daily and wear clean clothes 2. Go check your health 3. Care about your teeth 4. Go do some fitnes 5. Trim your hair , eyebrows 6. Make your skin hidrated and all the things that she said abt nails and feets 6. Learn new things in life You don't need anything more , if you don't do more than half that she recommended in wrong way (and many do) you will look just tacky and as every third person . Go learn what are your unique traits and instead hating them , start loving them and make them yours bc no one can have it , maybe if they pay lot of money to look like that. I consider myself 7 , but most people say that I am between 7 and 10 And to be reall , I only care abt 1 level , everything above first thing that she said is 0 for me and I hope it will be for you too , because you are believe me . MORE BEAUTIFUL IF YOU ARE IN YOUR NORMAL SKIN . Botox and etc are just for rich people that can pay for professional people and have enough money to redo it and to correct whatever they want whenever. For basic people , first if you don't need it , you will just make it look radiculous bc it will be more than it suits you , second there are a lot unprofessional ones and if you are not prepared to constantly care abt it and pay abt it it will be looking just tacky . Please learn how to love yourself as you just are , because then you will glow But if you do more things on yourself , you will find more things that "need fixing" and at the end , you will look like a different person ,but you will be like , yeah it's not naturall me ,naturall me is just ugly and your mentality will be just full of holes. Plese go check your health and fix what you need , have a good teeth, hair and nails care ( that doesn't mean that you need to do crazy nail looks or that you are not allowed to dye your hair, you should try to fix you teeths but let them be your natural teeth shape not the perfect box ones , that means yeah fix their order , ,fix cavities, put a missing tooth , but you don't need bright white tooths , if you have teeth gap it can look cute, slightly yellowish tooths looks more natural than pure white , if you have small teeths don't buy the big ones but small ones and so on), go sleep on time , don't eat junk fund at exercise at least a little, if you are not fit , start with daily stretching at least ,go walk . And reading comment, I totally forgot to mention this . 1. Have a good posture 2. Learn how to communicate 3. Be friendly 4. And pay attention to your manners ( this is actually really good one, but you need to learn which is part of your personality that you want to have and which is just for people pleasing, the second one you don't need. Eg. The good manners that I want to have as my personality is how to talk ,how to squad , where to put my bag , like basic etiquette, but manners that is just people pleasing , or better say are chasing with my personality is to always think about my voice pitch or my sitting positions, so i don't force them , bc then I will look like I am pretending to be someone I am not ,but at least I do them when I feel like doing it , so little by little ,my actions go unnoticeably to better even tho I am not drastically changin my behavior, I am just correcting my bad behavior).
👏👏👏👏 EMRACE YOUR UNIQUE BEAUTY!!! Stop going to all these extreme lengths to look like Kylie/ Sabrina carpenter- you all look identical it’s actually sad. Shit, put majority of that money into your retirement fund or investments
I know many women who go directly to stage 5 if this pyramid but absolutely lack basic elements of the stage 1, like good sleep, good food and mental health, and I can say it is very noriceable. It is a great explanation of beauty from within
Yes beauty is a privilege imo. Some get super lucky with genetics but for most money can eaisly make you attractive as well. As it is though, I feel we are all ugly rn because everyone is on survivable mode fighting against each other instead of looking at our government for the lack of changes economicaly after covid
Ngl this sounds terrifying to me because the fact that any man would even make a woman his gf with nooooo interest in ever marrying her (if he wants to marry at all down the line) makes me feel literally disgusted. Why waste someone's time?
I have a facial deformity that I got during my childhood. When I look at old photos of my self I had completely normal features that I feel suited me so well and that I could have potentially grown up to be a beautiful young woman. It took a long time to accept that it is what it is and I have gotten to a stage where I accept my self and love myself but have also decided that I want to get cosmetic surgery very soon I’m 18 now and I want to have these procedures done by the time I am 19. My mom is beyond unsupportive and is the absolute worst at helping me feel better about myself. She’s one of those parents that essentially let me raise myself despite being a stay at home mom. I approached her about the topic and she was scandalized and being very mean about the whole thing she said I can get it done with my own money but I won’t be allowed to live in her house. It’s so disheartening. She doesn’t understand how badly the world can tread you especially in the day and age of TikTok thirst traps if ur ugly. It literally makes you sub human to a lot of ignorant people. At this point I don’t really care about others as much as I did in the past but I want to do it for myself and to make me confident and for me to be happy when I look in the mirror.
Don’t be too quick to dismiss that plastic surgery, sweet ladies. When I crossed over into my 50’s, the loss of collagen and elasticity had me looking rough. I invested in a deep plane facelift and a blepharoplasty. It’s one of the best things I ever did for myself. Start a little fund for yourself and when you hit your 50’s, you may want to do this for yourself and you’ll have a little money laid back by that time. And if you don’t want to, just go to an all inclusive instead. 💋
I always thought I did those things out of love to myself but I did it out of hate against myself. Since I go to therapy regularly I finally do everything out of love and now I also finally stick to it!
Caring about your health and appearance is really important but what I would say is the root for feeling and looking better is focusing on your mental health and the things in your life that are lasting and permanent instead of little changeable things (which are still important) but you need to fix the main issue if you want then the smaller issues to become a breeze to fix.
Im so on point with the bottom that the next level is bare minimum feet and nails . I eat for beauty from inside out . Castor oil on these lashes ppl can’t believe that are lash extensions. I water my own grass so my please don’t become my necessity … I’m a body sculpting professional so I definitely do that on myself. Waist train etc . These things definitely make a difference!! I love my original features and face and skin . But it wouldn’t be as nice without my routines that I put in place . And I don’t place with sleep at all . I’m clear over 40 I’m gonna go to bed lol thank you for all you do ❤❤
I agree about this. Most of us, me included, need to just focus on the bottom 2 levels & that will take us where we want to be. If you are in survival mode or life gets really tough, drop down to where you can deal with during that time.
I just wanted to say, I loved your done-for-you guide. Im struggling with ADHD (medicating soon) and I can just have this guide in my desktop to look at when I am lost. Thank you
No its not. Stop painting plastic surgery as toxic because of bad PR and media. There are people in which plastic surgery can return normalcy and happiness to them. Some woman for example go through metapause super early in their late 20s early 30s drastically ageing their bodies as well as some having to do hysterectomy.
I know, right. I wish they wouldn't defile this psychological concept with superficial bs. The sad fact is that anyone doing all of this crap is probably pretty low on the actual maslow scale.
The spiritual meaning of eye inflammation. Inflammation is all about the Ego wether it's entitled or needy. Inflammation is aggravated by anger. When you start to see the Ego as inflammation of the personality, you notice how often you can become "puffed up". Toxic self talk Where have you become fixed or rigid in your view of situations? We must take care of our inner in order for our outer to shine.
Agreed, I didn’t expect to watch someone talk about getting fillers, plastic surgery, veneers, etc to “improve” your appearance. As if it’s not problematic and the opposite of self love, especially to such an audience.
getting a blood panel was so good for me - i found out that i had a severe iron deficiency and it was impacting my energy levels. i got put on supplements and i felt a difference immediately. though the visual impact is obviously the least important thing, i did get a comment when i came back for a check-in, i was told i looked significantly less tired
by far one of the best glow up videos I’ve watched…. and yes you most of the time need $$ to enhance your features and change further than basic health
I deal with inflammatory eye issues from having type 1 diabetes, so I know exactly what you're feeling! I get crazy strict, when this hits. The cleanest most natural foods, raw. Cooked foods promotes inflammation. Hope you feel better soon!
Oof. It feels so validating to have my thoughts put into words, let alone a diagram. The past several years have been ROUGH. 2 pregnancies with life-threatening complications, job losses, credit score has gone to crap because I couldn't afford to make any payments, etc. Now I'm pregnant with our 3rd, husband has an amazing new job, and I am finally feeling secure enough with life/finances to be able to put some focus on myself. But it has been hard to let go of this scarcity mindset and take some time for myself and I find myself leaving the house looking like a hot mess! Trying to prioritize myself and wellness so I can finally feel confident in how I look 💕
I am unbelievably blessed to have found your channel. Like the older sister ive always needed. Your vids have helped me through tough times and youve taught me LIFECHANGING things. Lovelovelove your videos!! 💯
Y’all, please do not get veneers or crowns when your teeth are already fine. Just have proper dental hygiene and get braces (if you want em). Please do not get botox/injections/fillers unless you have a medical issue that could be resolved with such. And for the love of God, please don’t get plastic surgery. You can enhance and embrace your beauty without changing your natural features especially with such bizarre procedures (injecting toxins into your face, saline into your body, removing fat to displace it elsewhere, etc) thinking it’ll improve your appearance. We’re all much more beautiful when we stick to embracing our given features and working on improving ourselves naturally. 💕
Why are you telling people what they should or should not do with their body and face? It’s up to them and they know it’ll improve their confidence and life quality so why say don’t do it????
I've already been working on my own version of this kinda beauty plan for a while now. I'm still struggling with the bottom levels but keep trying to fix my diet, messy sleep cycle, cleaning my home, etc, but it's gotten a lot better than it used to be. I'm much healthier than I was years ago. I've also finally found a good skincare routine that got rid of my acne, and gotten into the habit of showering daily. I'm shaving pretty much everything regularly too. I've re-vamped my wardrobe too although still adding to it little by little. I do my own manicure weekly and pedicure biweekly. I'm on a weight loss plan as well although I just started it a couple months ago and it's going kinda slow... Before all that I spent years working on my mental health, and feel much more stable as a result. I'm just now starting to get into more of the professional stuff, like I'm getting my health issues taken care of, my hormone issues sorted out, and looking into laser hair removal for my face. After that, and after weight loss I do plan on looking into getting some fillers because I've always had flat cheeks and I'm kinda tired of being bothered by that. Eventually down the line I am planning to get plastic surgery as well, although reconstructive. Not sure yet if I'll get anything purely cosmetic surgically. Maybe some small things like fixing up my jawline. I do remember what I looked like when I used to be skinny in the past. All in all I'm really tired of looking like a mess and only attracting literal bums haha. So I'm determined to not be stuck in some denial or victim mentality and instead work on my issues. I do agree with the hierarchy at least in the sense that I think it's good to start with the simple and basic stuff that is minimally invasive, and then do more invasive and/or difficult to obtain stuff later on.
Yeah, mental health should be the first in the list of standards, checking with yourself to apply self affirmations to build confidence. Because confidence is attractive!
I'm feeling lovingly called-out because the moment my life gets hectic/busy, the basics (sleep, diet, fitness) fall to the wayside and it shows the most! Rather than try to cover up this deficit with next-level procedures, just get back to basics and that's already half the battle.
The first sentence made me giggle because I live in LA and when I go outside everybody in fact DOES look good 🤣 love how you broke this down so clearly. I already do a lot but I love to hear about it and what others are getting into 💗
I agree with the general principles! I also really like the 80/20 rule. Roughly 80% of the benefit comes from 20% of the effort. Seriously, if most people could work on their fitness, wear fitted, stylish clothing, have good grooming, get their teeth straightened, and learn how to style their hair they will be most of the way there!!!
1:08 that's a misconception. it wasn't intended to be a "fulfil these first before you fulfil your other needs" type chart. maslow wasn't even the one who conceived the pyramid shape.
I would say just work with what you already have! Work on diet, exercise, meditation, staying clean, well-rested & moisturized without looking greasy. If you have money to get anything done, just get your teeth taken care of. Be happy & confident!
I would love to hear your take on using law of attraction to change your appearance. I have done this in my own life and it’s truly so fun and thrilling to see the changes!!
I get your upload notifications and, I must admit, sometimes I think "nah, I'll watch later, what else can she teach me?" and then I watch it and damn, am I wrong. I ALWAYS learn something from your videos or I get some insight into something I haven't been paying attention. You are awesome Vickita, and I love your honesty and perspective on things 👌 please keep on teaching us 💓
@@MECC17384 No. Aesthetics come in second place behind normal healthy body functioning. Once a person has achieved good health, they can consider looks.
You are so right. If you don’t have the foundation, the above levels will not work. I’m on the top tier but it’s been very gradual, minimal. And I went step by step and this has been 40 years in making! 😂
Thank you so much for this video! I keep coming back to watch and it's really helped me segment my challenges. Now I have a strategy and ranking myself has helped me see where I am and how far I have to go. Much love ❤
Omgggg uh just helped me figure out everythingggggg that I had been struggling to put them together since many days tqsmmmmm lotssss of love uh really made my day❤❤❤
Hi there! I love your videos, they really help me grow on different levels! To be honest, I agree with you 100% on the whole video but I want to add something about the skin... I have severe acne skin (I've done accutane 4 times, I eat a balanced and healthy diet, I exercise regularly, I've had my hormones tested etc... I've tried everything) that won't go away and hasn't for 10 years now. The truth is acneic skin makes you look ugly, dirty and neglected, it's a FACT ... but it's extremely hard to manage when it's out of our control ... So yes, I agree, my personality sucks because of my face but it's hard when you have no solution ...
Girl I totally get it! I’ve been struggling with acne for 4 years after having perfect skin - the truth is, as long as you’re doing everything else, and at least working on a solotion for your skin, you’re good. It’s important we don’t fixate on “perfect” because some situations (stubborn acne) are unavoidable and it doesn’t make you less attractive ❤️
I had a relative that had stubborn adult acne. Turns out, she was allergic to fluoride. Have you considered trying to eliminate certain chemicals/foods that you may have a reaction to? My heart goes out to you. My teenage son has struggled with bad acne as well. He has a good skin care routine, but sometimes it doesn't always work. I hope you can find something that makes a difference for you. ❤
Hi, just offering a tip that totally changed acne for me - changing my pillowcase nightly. I didn't think of it for 10 years, once I did it the game changed!
Same but with very bumpy, lined/marked and textured skin (I had horrible cystic acne in my teens, 20 years ago). I've tried all the acids and peels, nothing works.
I had the same problem when I was younger the only thing that worked was Accutane. You could literally never wash your face and slather in oil after being on it and have crystal clear skin. Heredity is such a thing .
Your so awesome. Thanks for video! Yes Id love a hygeine video! Lots of love from this mama whos had 2 kids, let herself go insurvival mode, and now working to get herself back after the kids fall asleep each night. And your videos are the main thing that motivated me enough to get serious. Taking notes and enjoying the journey! God bless you.
Great video! Also, instead of fillers and botox I would suggest to try face massage, guasha, and kinesio tapes) They really work, I like my face much more than two years ago when I started face massages)

True. If youre clinically depressed you won't even have the energy to get out of bed, let alone worry about hygiene.
Absolutely! Whenever I’m excessively stressed, I break out into pimples 😫
80% of this stuff needs money( good cosmetic products, good quality clothes, quality of food and proteins, manicure….so you have to glow up financially first and the other glow ups will come on automatically
Ever hear the saying, “you’re not ugly you’re just poor?”
Exactly. I need to have multiple jobs In order to afford Botox, filler, peels, on a regular basis.
basic beauty routines can be done on a budget tho! my routine consists of *clean* skincare, it can b a bit pricey to invest in natural good quality products but to me _less is more_ so i only use one of each: chapstick, a toner, eye cream, moisturizer, sunscreen, & a youth oil at night. no need to spend on 30 diff products!! u can find good natural skincare brands for cheap at tj maxx, thats also where i buy my press-on nails & haircare/bodycare stuff. drug store for makeup & shopping for cute clothes at the thrift is always my go-to. im also a diy selfcare girly so i learned to do my own makeup, mani/pedi's, lashes, eyebrows, shaving, and cut/dye my hair at home. buying the stuff to diy is more affordable than paying someone else for the services, it takes some practice n' patience but its all worth it & is so fun to do imo!

Great comment! Self care is self love!!
Same girl same… 😮 I’m trying to find myself again
wholeheartedly agree, i was struggling with low self esteem/ not feeling worthy in general and would go to university just wearing baggy sweaters, no makeup whatsoever and i think sometimes i forgot to brush my hair smh, you need to do the inner work and deal with emotional issues!! it is pivotal in one's healing journey
Yes!!! Defo. I forgot to add that to the environment part 😖
Never cling on to anyone.
@@Momma_AL learned my lesson dw
I 100% attest to this! I lost so much weight when I was with my abuser, I went down to 47kg as a 163cm girl. It got me so sickly thin it even appeared in my dark circles and hair density
That's is environment for us that follow the pyramid.
So I will add: beauty is a stress killer!
is reflection of what job you work too, if you are more or less exposed etc
@@cartooneyed.Yes yes YES! Embracing the self. That's it right there. Which is different for everyone. Totally.
Very toxic. Many women glow up, look gorgeous and still feel absolutely worthless. Your worth does NOT depend on your looks AT ALL. Beauty should be for fun, not to hide your trauma.
Should be stopped at basic grooming
It’s true, I did my armpits years ago and they are so sensitive , can’t handle almost any deodorant
Yep, people get indentations from Coolsculpting called “shark bites”
On the other hand, a PicoWay laser treatment took about 5 years off my face.
@@CollieNike3 fine if it worked for you, genuinely glad you had a good result. For every person who does, a few or several others do not. As I said, roulette.

I would say kick toxic people out. Even if it's a parent, a partner, a friend. You have no idea how much stress from negative people will age you and make you stay frumpy. I personally am not a makeup person, but I take good care of my skin, since I don't wear it.

Diet, health,fitness, environment, hygiene
While I'm not willing to do anything invasive, you are so right about how the majority of people look so disheveled. It's appalling how people present themselves these days. this made me really happy to read 😊 some people don’t understand why you still wanna look cute if you’re not going to go outside but it’s like, i still gotta look at me too 😂 and it’s just a psychological thing - when i look good, i feel good! i feel confident but not just in the typical sense - i feel more capable and motivated to get things done which is something i need as someone who deals with chronic conditions and to not stay in a low vibration / mood; especially as someone with a history of depression it’s a quick slippery slope 🙂🙃 that said, i still wake up sometimes when the sun is shining on me and look in the mirror first thing and think dang i look good which is why i can brush off comments about “make up = self esteem” 🙄 but not to end on a downer; your comment is aspirational and i hope you enjoy pilates! ☺️ i wanna get back into it (currently do boxing / box fit) but i think i‘ll go for aerial yoga/pilates as it looks so fun!

Trust me, not everyone puts that much importance on this. It's actually pretty superficial
Look, there are sick people in pain and worse at this very moment. None of this superficial stuff matters. You are fine how you are doing my dear❤
I've never heard of neither lip blushing nor sleep cocktails, they both sound really interesting.
sleep cocktails don’t only help you sleep good they also make you feel amazing when you just pour them in a nice wine glass with some pretty fruits on it
Thank you very much for this❤. I was chronically depressed for many years and small steps to look better helped me pull myself out of it.
PLEASE PPL READ THIS
I totally DON'T AGREE and people I hope you don't listen her .
You totally don't need all of this to be prettier .
And most people that did most of this look ridiculous and uglier than people that didn't do any of this .
My recommendation for you is .
1. Shower daily and wear clean clothes
2. Go check your health
3. Care about your teeth
4. Go do some fitnes
5. Trim your hair , eyebrows
6. Make your skin hidrated and all the things that she said abt nails and feets
6. Learn new things in life
You don't need anything more , if you don't do more than half that she recommended in wrong way (and many do) you will look just tacky and as every third person .
Go learn what are your unique traits and instead hating them , start loving them and make them yours bc no one can have it , maybe if they pay lot of money to look like that.
I consider myself 7 , but most people say that I am between 7 and 10
And to be reall , I only care abt 1 level , everything above first thing that she said is 0 for me and I hope it will be for you too , because you are believe me .
Please learn how to love yourself as you just are , because then you will glow
But if you do more things on yourself , you will find more things that "need fixing" and at the end , you will look like a different person ,but you will be like , yeah it's not naturall me ,naturall me is just ugly and your mentality will be just full of holes.
1. Have a good posture
2. Learn how to communicate
3. Be friendly
All very true

I’m clear over 40 I’m gonna go to bed lol thank you for all you do ❤❤
I normally like your videos but saying someone has real glow up by making Botox and operation. Sorry
I agree about this. Most of us, me included, need to just focus on the bottom 2 levels & that will take us where we want to be. If you are in survival mode or life gets really tough, drop down to where you can deal with during that time.

No its not. Stop painting plastic surgery as toxic because of bad PR and media. There are people in which plastic surgery can return normalcy and happiness to them. Some woman for example go through metapause super early in their late 20s early 30s drastically ageing their bodies as well as some having to do hysterectomy.
Plastic surgery is the complete opposite of self-actualization 👏 . Maslow would be rolling over in his grave with this BS.
Toxic self talk
Where have you become fixed or rigid in your view of situations?
We must take care of our inner in order for our outer to shine.
Omg write a book! This is awesome 🤩
Good choice! I spread mine across a few games, including roulette. They really do have a nice selection of bonuses
The three upper parts of the pyramid is just sad tbh
Agreed, I didn’t expect to watch someone talk about getting fillers, plastic surgery, veneers, etc to “improve” your appearance. As if it’s not problematic and the opposite of self love, especially to such an audience.
@@bitty4380 i felt the same, my jaw is still on the floor. Is this the extent our young girls feel they have to go through to keep up with life?
@@bitty4380 especially since she mentioned it's not about plastic surgery at the beginning of the video
Absolutely, I signed up and used that bonus right away. It’s a great way to start exploring their games. Have you decided to dive in yet
getting a blood panel was so good for me - i found out that i had a severe iron deficiency and it was impacting my energy levels. i got put on supplements and i felt a difference immediately. though the visual impact is obviously the least important thing, i did get a comment when i came back for a check-in, i was told i looked significantly less tired
by far one of the best glow up videos I’ve watched…. and yes you most of the time need $$ to enhance your features and change further than basic health
I deal with inflammatory eye issues from having type 1 diabetes, so I know exactly what you're feeling! I get crazy strict, when this hits. The cleanest most natural foods, raw. Cooked foods promotes inflammation. Hope you feel better soon!
Girl I love your videos they are exactly what I am looking for !!!!
You’ve been through it but I’m happy to hear you’re thriving now ❤️ you deserve to have the external match the internal!
Thank you for saving my life, Vickita!
Sincerely,
A young girl from the Philippines ❤
I am unbelievably blessed to have found your channel. Like the older sister ive always needed. Your vids have helped me through tough times and youve taught me LIFECHANGING things. Lovelovelove your videos!! 💯
Wow, thank you ❤️❤️
Y’all, please do not get veneers or crowns when your teeth are already fine.
@@abbi2778isn’t this essentially what the woman in the video doing? People can say what they want
You’re underrated for this ❤️🤩
Hope this will change soon and fast 💪🏽
Yeah, mental health should be the first in the list of standards, checking with yourself to apply self affirmations to build confidence. Because confidence is attractive!
Found you today, I'm here for all of it!! ❤ Much love from Seattle.
A lot of these (above the basic level) are expensive. So be mindful of managing how you invest in yourself.
This is one of the best glow up videos I have ever seen-I have been looking for something like this forever 😮Thank you 🌈🌈💎💎💫💫
I'm feeling lovingly called-out because the moment my life gets hectic/busy, the basics (sleep, diet, fitness) fall to the wayside and it shows the most! Rather than try to cover up this deficit with next-level procedures, just get back to basics and that's already half the battle.
I wish there was one single place to go to get all this done instead of multiple clinics/appts. etc.
Totalyyyy agree 😩 like a one stop shop
The first sentence made me giggle because I live in LA and when I go outside everybody in fact DOES look good 🤣 love how you broke this down so clearly. I already do a lot but I love to hear about it and what others are getting into 💗
I ate too much chocolate last month my skin is looking GROSS and I feel dirty
I'm never overeating anything never again
This is so true !
This is the level of accountability I love 😂
I agree with the general principles! I also really like the 80/20 rule. Roughly 80% of the benefit comes from 20% of the effort. Seriously, if most people could work on their fitness, wear fitted, stylish clothing, have good grooming, get their teeth straightened, and learn how to style their hair they will be most of the way there!!!
so good to see a good role model for brown girls!!
1:08 that's a misconception. it wasn't intended to be a "fulfil these first before you fulfil your other needs" type chart. maslow wasn't even the one who conceived the pyramid shape.
Cool same message applies though :)
yeah wasn't discounting your message at all.
Smart move! I went with roulette and a bit on blackjack. The bonuses make a big difference. What games are you eyeing
I would say just work with what you already have! Work on diet, exercise, meditation, staying clean, well-rested & moisturized without looking greasy. If you have money to get anything done, just get your teeth taken care of. Be happy & confident!
Yep, planning to use it for some cricket betting. There’s a big match I've got my eye on this weekend
I would love to hear your take on using law of attraction to change your appearance. I have done this in my own life and it’s truly so fun and thrilling to see the changes!!
Girl its the cheatcode! Been doing it since 2017 and I look very different 🔑
0:17 this quote gives off the same energy as "I don't hate you because your fat, you're fat because I hate you" and im lovin it
That's smart. I might spread mine across a few different games. Have you tried the roulette bonuses
I get your upload notifications and, I must admit, sometimes I think "nah, I'll watch later, what else can she teach me?" and then I watch it and damn, am I wrong. I ALWAYS learn something from your videos or I get some insight into something I haven't been paying attention. You are awesome Vickita, and I love your honesty and perspective on things 👌 please keep on teaching us 💓
Favorite RUclips video about making a glow up plan! I always go back to this. Thank you! ❤️
You're so welcome!
It’s sad how self actualization is considered plastic surgery in the beauty hierarchy
That's because it goes beyond the basis, which is general health and basic grooming.
@@LisaCultonshouldn’t it be basic though? 🤔
@@MECC17384 No. Aesthetics come in second place behind normal healthy body functioning. Once a person has achieved good health, they can consider looks.
Thinking about bringing in some friends with that referral bonus they offer. It’s a win-win for both sides
please make a full feminine hygiene video it would be rlly helpful tysm
Sure thing!
@@VickitaTrivedi tysm i love u and ur channel so much!
You are so right. If you don’t have the foundation, the above levels will not work. I’m on the top tier but it’s been very gradual, minimal. And I went step by step and this has been 40 years in making! 😂
Yes!!! Exactly
What is the fleece you are wearing? I love it!
Totally agree with this. Less invasive and it works!
That was so helpful. Thank you :)
Some parts of this video had me fckn dying!! 😂 Great info. I love it!
I want a more detailed episode on organising and planned cooking, diet and better sleep ) thank you for your video!
The lack of buzz around Women's Magic Truths is baffling. This book holds the key to amazing secrets, but no one seems to care. Don’t stay in the dark - find out what everyone’s missing
This is very informative thank you!
Heath, basic grooming, professional grooming, non invasive treatment, pastic surgery
This chart is so helpful....thank you for this.
