  • One of the most iconic supercars from the 1980's the Porsche 911 Turbo SE Flatnose is a rare thing. Less than 40 right hand drive coupes were supplied by the factory.
    We chat about the history of these cars before taking it out for a drive to find out what they are really like to own and live with.
    The first video from our new 911virgin channel. Feel free to comment and share.
    At the time of filming this car was being sold by www.911virgin.com

    Thank you for the video. I have an 87 naturally aspirated 911. It is a slant nose conversion. Unfortunately, I cannot find out details as to how or where it was converted. I do not think it is from the factory. From what I have read that is extremely rare. It is a fantastic conversion. All the features of this car look just like the one you just demonstrated. Only difference, I have square headlights. Same vents front and by the rear tires. A steel conversion. Windshield wiper unit just behind the front tire. Also, appears to be a widebody in the rear but, I once again cannot find evidence of when that was done. Rear tires are huge, 335s. I also just watched your second video of a naturally aspirated 911 1987. Learned a lot, especially about the engine compartment. Thank you once again,

    • @911virgin8
      @911virgin8  4 года назад +2

      Hi there Dr Phil. There were a number of firms that did conversions both in Europe and the US. Your car won't be a factory model. It may have been based on a Supersport turbo bodied car or turbo bodied when the conversion was done. Enjoy the car and stay safe.

      A really valid point. This was the first video we made and we are evolving constantly. Audio is surprisingly difficult to get right and recording engine noise is something we are working on. These aren't massive high production videos, just simple ones we produce in house so we need to find a way of recording accurately. But we will find a solution eventually !

      Why? Being based outside Uxbridge in South Buckinghamshire we have no say in who they vote in for their MP. It's also worth mentioning that until proportional representation is introduced most people's votes and wishes are ignored. Uxbridge is a good example, the current MP got in despite 55% of the voters NOT voting for him. So 55% of the voters were ignored. If 911virgin ran the country a number of things would change over and above subsidised parking for Porsches and other nice cars..... 🙂
