Thank you for the comment, this video is a personal favourite, it was so special to experience and yet so simple to be there. Just set the alarm and go. I’m glad the audio soundtrack was okay for you because on some devices the soundtrack doesn’t play right. You can hardly hear the voice. I was gutted when I discovered that. I had left some graphic equaliser corrections on from another project and it messed it up for certain devices. Anyway the point of practice is to learn. The point of paddling is probably harmony. You got the point 👍 job done👍
I have had the pleasure of canoeing in this estuary on many occasions as I live close by .I always appreciate it's beauty and it's wildlife .Your dawn video is magnificent and shows the real beauty of this wonderful place.
Thank you Brian. I appreciate the feedback. It truly was a beautiful experience. I turned around when the weir at the railway bridge got too noisy. My high tech audio navigation system 😆
That was beautiful. The girl singing and the guitar playing as you were launching into the estuary was very soothing. You have captured a sunrise from a view point that most of us will never see or experience. Id imagine you had a great sense of peace within yourself whilst drinking that coffee ☕. Your narration adds an extra to your videos. A really good story!! shot and told very well and in a unique way. 👍
Andrew your comments means a lot and thank you. I believe I found the right song for it although after posting I realise the music is a little loud compared to the voice over. It sounded right on the computer but every device is different. I should have watched the levels more closely. Either way hindsight is 2020, we live and learn, but still I think you get the feel of it. It was a magnificent experience, and even better it was only down the road a little.
I can safely say Robin that time stopped on my sofa watching that this evening 😉 Wonderfully shot and narrated - such a cool camera to capture your sunrise escapade! Fabulous 🎉😎
Thank you Miriam, that means a lot. The narration was a little on the sleepy side but I ran out of time to do it again due to the school run so that’s life and it went out that way. It’s a wrap 😆 The morning itself was absolutely surreal. I think that comes across regardless.
@@MiriamKennedy very true, on a par with a mountain top sunrise I suppose, of which you have seen many. It’s a great little camera for the job because it takes less effort when you are there, you can frame it all up later. That’s a great way of resolving the conflict between being mentally there yourself or being detached from being there by the distractions of the camera itself. Very clever gadget.
@@MiriamKennedy yes exactly. Geese fly by, no worries, no need to frame a thing, camera has everything, just takes time to go back and get it later at the computer, but that’s a fair swap. I also find people are more natural with it because it’s not pointed at them. It’s pointed at everything. Not as good quality footage as the go pro though. Everything is a compromise as always.
Outstanding video Robin , beautiful and top level editing. I loved that opening shot before sunrise. Was it filmed from another canoe or did you use your DJI Mini ? Thanks for sharing this peaceful and relaxing video
Hi Willem, thank you, that’s high praise coming from you. The only shots filmed with the drone are those where the drone is stationary and the canoe moves away. All these other perspectives were achieved using the insta 360 x 3 on a 3m selfie stick. This camera completely revolutionises what you and I do in a canoe. Sometimes you can see the base of the selfie stick on the back of the canoe or it’s reflection in the water. What I loved most is that this camera removes the workload from the day of the paddle and moves it to the editing phase. I think you need one 😂 (it’s water proof)
@@VISTATREKKER ah so cool !! But your selfie stick must be very long , the distance looks quite far in that beautiful opening shot !! Hmmm perhaps a new gadget for me as well that insta 360. Need some negotiating about it with my wife 🤣🤣🤣
@@KEYTOWNADVENTURES I hear you 😝 I guess it looks further away while using quite a wide angle lense. I kept the horizon flat by using zero° tilt in the editor afterwards. You can zoom in and out in post because it shoots 360 in 5.7k. There is an insta 360 camera available with a one inch sensor (times two - as they are back to back) but I guess that one not being waterproof is a problem for people in canoes.
Fabulous. The atmosphere. The cinematography. The soundtrack. All was in perfect harmony.

How utterly beautiful xx thank you Robin xx

@@VISTATREKKER such a great memory to have captured….wowzers!! Filed away and can now be recalled at will, what a benefit of video 🤗

@@VISTATREKKER oh wow - I hadn’t registered that post production benefit of allowing the moment unfold untouched with that camera!

This was a solo paddle.
