I was a huge Procol Harum from 1967 and consequently became a Robin Trower fan from 1968 . Loved the 2nd line up with BJ Wilson, Gary Brooker & Keith Reid (wrote all their lyrics and Matthew Fisher, but the band played on touring for years .
If you are not already a fan of Robin Trower, you owe it to yourself to listen to this song... actually the entire "Bridge of Sighs" album. Its a masterwork in music. RIP Jimmy Dewar
@@JB-vf2wd Thank you. I`ve been to Seven different countries since `Live` 1975 to watch Robin play, that was a moment of history. For anyone to play, note perfect, improvising all the way through is pure genius, the best ever by a million miles, he is loved everywhere he goes. Every time I have seen him he plays a unique version of every track.. People talk of Hendrix and so many others of his era, but Robin Trower is in a league of his own..
@@ironlady6897 That`s what I`ve seen, Jimi was brilliant at what he did but for my money Robin was in another league. I was just listening Long Misty Days, such a simple song but truly brilliant. Then put that beside Daydream, or I Can`t Wait Much Longer from the 75 Live album and OMG.. No dubbing of fancy studio tricks back then, No one, in my humble opinion will ever be so individual, soulful, and able to blow you away like he can.. A three piece band, creating a storm like that, never missing a note.. The one and only..
Thank you. I was introduced to Tower in the 80's. God what a magical time. Anyway, radio stations gave so much liberty to their DJ's back then . I was behind the curve, young, but this radio station played Tower religiously. At least this one DJ did. ( ROCK 103. Memphis!) I can't say it enough, such a magical time.
I was at the 40th tour, and it was great. Robin has developed into an amazing entertainer over the years...guitar, song-writer, vocalist, and producer. A vast catalog of music from a man in his seventies, still creating new material and touring! Long live RT!
50 years for me, fave album of 1974! Bought at the beginning of July, 1974 .... Saw Robin , Jimmy, and Drummer Laughton October, 1974, then March , 1975....
One of my fav bands ever! Love this album. Love all the albums they put out! #kickassrock.. For my friend Scooter McGruder.. RIP DARLIN. WILL NEVER FORGET YOU & Blytheville,Arkansas in '89! Miss & love you always my friend!
I remember the day this first hit the airwaves when I was living right outside of Detroit I was probably about 12 or 13. It blew me away then and it still does today. Robin Trower is a master on guitar Dewar the vocals? Absolutely brilliant.
The Cowtown Ballroom in KCMO...my ears are still ringing and that was in the early 70's. I tried to answer that ringing but I keep getting disconnected or a busy signal.
I like all kinds of music but Trower just touches my soul with Dewar singing. It is and always has been my comfort music. Ever since I first heard it in 74.
No disrespect to James Dewar..They do have a voice... it's Trower's guitar... James was kind enough to translate the Enochian language spoken by Robin's guitar (language of the Angelic Realm) into human terms...😎👍🙏
Robin Trower way underrated player James Dewars voice is so Mesmerizing and flowing,RIP! This Album is a Masterpiece period! I’ve seen Robin Trower Live 12 times,A definite Master of a Stratocaster!
this gives me a flashback of when i first heard this album. i was on some strawberry microdot mescaline. This version has some new overdubs or something near the end.
This is what rock and roll is people. Lawd have mercy I'm so glad this came to me! I'm 62 yrs old and have never heard this pure gold. I've been deprived.🎸🔊🎼
I'm looking forward to seeing you in a few days' time, Robin. I suspect that all these new videos of classic tracks are being uploaded in preparation for your coming performances in the UK and US.
Bonsoir. Music, sweet music... Touching my soul 🎶 🎸
Robin Trower fan since 1974 ❤

I've been a fan since april-may this year 😭
My dad showed it to me :D
Yea me too I would come home to mom and dad’s house stoned just listening and staring at that album cover. Bridge of Sighs ……what was that😂
If you are not already a fan of Robin Trower, you owe it to yourself to listen to this song... actually the entire "Bridge of Sighs" album.
Its a masterwork in music.
RIP Jimmy Dewar
I have seen Robin live and it is mind blowing! Everytime! He is still touring!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Everybody always suggests Bridge of Sighs, and rightfully so,but Robin has so many more killer albums.
Now 70, this takes me back to when I was 20. What surprises life has in store for you. This song stirs the soul.
Just happened upon this artist and never heard of him before but this is a good one
Ditto, Don. My first concert. He opened for Edgar Winter. 1974.
I was 15 when this was released.I'm now 65.John Guinto
With every note Robin plays.. we listen to his soul speaking.. sometimes with joy.. some with sorrow.. always beautiful..
Wow!! That's a good way to put!!!

Man, the song doesn't get old at all.!!
Timeless. Bridge of Sighs album will always be essential listening
My ALL TIME favorite Trower tune!!
Still one of my favorite albums listening to it in a "smoke filled" haze in our apartment in the early 80's

50 years later, everyday I listen to some Trower.
this song just gets better with time.
YEAH IT DOSE!!
Like Fine Wine.John Guinto
I was 18 when this song came out.. Listening on an 8 Track tape..
50th anniversary bridge of sighs accompanied with a live performance is absolutely brilliant

This tune still gives me chills! Just pure vibe and mood. It shows just how much you can say musically, without overindulgent shredding.
Me too, especially the beginning part.John Guinto
Love the bass line in this tune.
WOW !!! THIS IS STILL AWESOME IN 2024 !!!
Trower and Dewar were incredible!!
This album is in my top 5 all time favorites. I have been listening to it since it was released.
Mine also!
1st 8-track I ever bought. I then bought 2 more and wore all 3 out in 3 years of high school! Good times!
Fantastic song and no one can play it like him. Thanks.
Trower!!!!! We all are in the know.
Gonna see this man in Royal Oak MI. My favorite living guitarist
Where, when in Royal Oak? My first Fender stratocaster was red and white, fell in love with his guitar sound as it spoke to my soul.
Been long time crossing bridge of sighs
My first concert, 11/1974, Trower opened for The Edgar Winter Group(with Rick Derringer). Been a fan since.
Lucky you. I saw him in the late 80s & was blown away even being stone cold sober then
I really am happy to hear this today😅.
