Got my new switch in and problem resolved. Many thanks for this discussion group, saved me a lot of money. I did buy the full assembly because I could not find just the switch alone, but even with that I saved $$$$. DO NOT waste your hard-working money at the shop, so simple to replace that ANYONE can do it. Oh, the company I purchased it from mistakenly sent me 2 so now I have a backup.
Hello, what is the name of the part you ordered? Do you mind sharing where you purchased the part from? I'm trying to find the name of the part, but I am having no luck.
Did anyone notice when the micro switch was removed the lever ws missing?(4:04) If it is in place, often it can be bent a little and reused. Listen for a click when lever is depressed. If it clicks you have a good chance of a free repair..
Hello. Great video, just what I need! but the links you provided go to the larger "automatic transmission control" not the little piece you are holding at 0:15 in the video. Do you have the part number just for the piece you replaced? Or did you buy the larger piece and just take what you needed from it? Thanks! Brian

2022 Chevy Silverado. I can’t find anything online in regards to a recall. Are the dealerships charging for this service?
There is no recall for this, if you have bumper to bumper you will be covered meaning 36k miles 3.years
Just had this quoted at the dealership. $650.
Cost me $140 for them to tell me what's wrong with it.

Shifter switch
