- The New Girsan Witness 2311C is a double stacked 10mm 1911 for a budget price. This is in the 2011 Style with all the features that make the 1911 optimal. We thank EAA Corp for sending the Girsan Witness 2311C for this review. @EAACorporation #2011 #10mm #1911

Yes. More 10mm
Most 10mm is loaded to 40S&W specs. Only rare loads are above that.
@@DaedalusHelios I was triggered enough to actually look this up, and 10mm averages 50 foot pounds of energy on target more when it comes to American eagle FMJ and Hydra Shok, not "rare" loads at all, quite the opposite. Im not even going to look at buffalo bore which is available at every cabelas.
edit: other sources are showing an average of 224 foot pounds per sq inch higher than 40 with a wider sample size of ammo, we see this with norma.
@@DaedalusHeliosthat's right so it's al most the same as 45acp.
@@DaedalusHeliosit’s not rare loads that are above that at all. Just don’t buy shitty ammo and you’ll get full powered 10mm. There is absolutely nothing rare about it though. I prefer Buffalo Bore.
10mm and 327 Fed Mag are absolutely slept on
Agreed!
as is 30 Super Carry
@@autumnfragrance6326 Facts! Can’t really argue with more capacity in the same size gun.
I remember shooting the 10mm Bren 10 and the Colt Delta, back many years ago, (70's or early 80's). The original load closely duplicated the .41 Magnum.
I have been informed that the new loads for the 10mm have been cut back on power from the original.
My question is "Will this platform stand up to a steady diet of original spec. 10mm loads?"
Now I'll watch the video.
While many 10mm loads nowadays are underpowered from the original spec, there are plenty of full power loads out there. Most of the cheap FMJ range ammo is underpowered (people generally tend to shoot more with lighter recoiling guns). Many, but not all, of the self defense rounds on the market are full power. All of Underwood's rounds, for example, are full power 10mm.
The 10mm never was even close to the 41mag
With equal barrel lengths the Chrono velocities were within 100fps using same weight projectiles, back in 1985. I was using a Delta 1911 and a S&W Model 57 as logged in my old reloading notebook.@@user-xw8rp8ql4s
I buy underwood and buffalo bore. They’re full power 10 mm.
I would get the five inch and use it for my open carry security guard job.
Girsan doing some great things
I absolutely love this pistol!
Awesome video nice gun thanks for sharing sootch00
The red dot is not appealing at all, but the gun itself looks pretty damn good.
I’d love to see a long term reliability review on the girsan
The 10mm is such an underrated ammo, like its a really good middle ground between 9mm and 45 acp💯
Canik is another that’s killing it! I wish they would make different calibers though
😂
Had a 92 sf girsan and it was awesome
Hell yeah!
Another excellent review!
Thanks Tyler!
Great review
N/A in Calizuela: Thanks for the review!
Thanks Mike!
Eww. I mean you guys allowed it.
Nice pistol great video
Great review!
Thanks Richard!
Nice review as always! That stupid "Warning Read Safety Manual" text on the frame would be a deal breaker for me. I mean wtf? Wouldn't just sticker do to pass the message?
Thanks Brother! Some companies definitely over do it : )
Taurus Th10mm you need to review....
Can you do a video on the Colt Defender? Never considered it until recently. Specifically in 45 ACP. Really enjoy the content.
Nice summary. No issues??
Hello Don, can you please review the Taurus TH45!
Nice gun.
Love me some 10mm. I’m still waiting for someone to come out with a slim carry style 10mm like 43x or p365 size.
💯
🍿
I own a Girsan mc1911 sc ultimate in 45acp. Love the gun, but customer service (EAA) is terrible.
Thanks for that. It’s what I’m concerned and curious about. Seems some of the overseas companies warranty service sucks. Where as SA and SW seem very good to their customers.
This is a really nice fire arm!!!! Be my next purchase
Tisas has a recall going on now, wonder if girsan or others will too.
Not a fan of the no rear iron sights.
would love to see the 3 1/4" barrel version.
HELLO WE'RE OVER HERE BRO 🖐️🖐️🖐️👍
wish they would come with an extended slide release.
Girsan really needs to work on the trigger. The whole point of the 2011 style pistols is high capacity with an excellent 1911 type trigger. Somewhere in the 4lb range minimum. Many firearms can get in that 6lb range even in the double action pull. I don't expect hand fitting at the price point. It does need a decent trigger however.
I agree with you friend, but hopefully the aftermarket will help with that
❤❤❤❤
I was looking at one in the store which had the optic mounted. I could see it was pure crap so I asked the kid behind the counter if there was a plain sight plate in the box. He couldn't find that box but the manager brought out another box with a second gun. Since it had not been displayed, I took that one, without looking it over, once I confirmed it had a plain sight plate. Got it home and start looking it over and the optic doesn't even work straight out of the box. Tried a new battery and it still doesn't work.
Just wish it had a full dust cover rail.
Is there a threaded barrel option for compensators?
Waiting for Tisas to release a 2011 in 10mm.
I was hoping for the nightstalker 10 sf ds myself and then they only dropped 9mm on all the ds models .... now my 1k for a nightstalker got shifted to a canik tti combat I ordered. My px9 gen 3 is the best gun I own regardless of price. She is like silk and butter! Out the door was 370 total I know I didn't get it early enough they were cheaper. Needless to say the feel in your hand you will only know if you have held a px9 gen3. Best ergo on any gun I've ever held
@@shuckyducky-lu8ncthe Nightstalker & a bunch of other 2011 style Tisas got recalled.
@twistofcain_666 1911 not 2011that was about a month ago
My next pistol. #Staccatoisoverrated
Why there is no spring mechanism for magazine release?
Vid starts at 1:15
Your welcome.
Sootch controls a 10 mil like I control a 22 LR 😂😂😂😂
tbf, 10mm range ammo, especially Fiocchi, is generally loaded to 40 S&W power levels. It would be cool to see what the recoil is like with the original Norma loadings (as well as how well the firearm would fair with a steady diet of said loading)
U loaded a high cap mag by hand? And only 1 on hand! U ROCK! Make more work to put a show on.
Don't think I'll ever get use to seeing an optic on a pistol. It's a great looking pistol though thanks for the info. 👍
This FAR dot definitely does not look low profile.
8lb trigger kills any interest.
They need to get that down to under 5lbs 4 would be ideal.
The cost to fix this right would push it up to a Springfield or several other 2011's with a decent trigger.
Good review but I'll pass until they get a better trigger.
Love 10 mm
Any MIM parts in this pistol?
Looks like that Smith and Wesson. I think it's a model six fifty three or something like that.
10mm packs alot more punch than 9. Especially with proper power factor ammo.
If u think that’s a nice looking gun, look at the Atlas Athena 9mm. Honest Outlaw said it’s the best 9 he’s ever shot and was shooting 1/2” groupings from 50 yards
I contacted EAA corp and they said the lower receiver was steel. Not alluminum.
Are you related to The Gun Guy?
Those red dots look like something you’d see on a toy gun and still say it looks cheap. 😂
What are the specs of a 2311
Like to see it in 45 win mag chambering,,, pls .
The flared mag well bezel looks cumbersome and ridiculous. I can almost see that part bumping into everything.
What in the John Wick is this 🤯
TAURUS RX 10mm. BAM mic drop
That’s a heavy trigger…😳
It’s seriously an aluminum lower receiver? That seems way to light duty for 10mm. Many full steel pistols have had frame cracking issues with 10mm. I’d love to see a review after a few thousand rounds.
Turkey: “copying other people’s shit since always.”
I'm looking for a 6in 10mm that holds more than 8 rounds
glock 40. long slide variant of the glock 20 and thus uses the same 15 shot magazines
Our Girsan is "a 1911 fan". LOL
What's it look like without that silly mag well?
Like any other 2011 without a mag well. Just look up a STI Gen 1 grip and it'll look the same.
Bad ass! Love it. Don't for about rock island tac ultra fshc 10mm dubble stack. That! Girl is. SO FINE! 😘😘
Girsan has great guns i owned 1. Bad thing is the derry optic is shit. And i dont know the pattern to change it
It's a Holosun K footprint.
@@danielhenderson8316 good to know. That derry optic is shit
👍
So explain where the short cuts are made to get the price down from a Staccato?
Perhaps their profit margin are much lower.
Labor costs
@@robertspray7472 yes, possibly less overheads as well.
Mim parts?
I found an explanation
The Turks make a lot of guns because that's the nature of being at the budget end of the market. They can do this because they have low overheads, modern tooling, and most of the mechanical design has already been done by someone else. Some makers have the necessary expertise to make reliable, long-lasting guns, too.
I just don't like the "read safety manual" engraved on the gun.
How does it compare to RIA TAC ULTRA HC 10mm?
7 pound trigger in 1911 gun with grip safety? Quite an abomination
2.21 lbs? Their website says its 1.6 lbs.
**the 6 inch model would be my choice if I'm going to go with 10mm.
**9mm is only as good as the ammo you feed it, once you run out of your premium defense loads, (not your normal h.p.) and you're back to 9 mm ball you're stopping power goes the way it did in the military PATHETIC!!
**Standard 9mm h.p. you want those to perform well shoot them out carbine. The added velocity boost from the longer will cause the bullet to reliably expand and do it's job. (Still probably won't work with a subsonic 147grains those are equal to ball rounds)
**Where as the 40S&W with the truncated cone fmj causes much more damage than you would think from just one little mm bigger. Due to it being big enough to overcome the elasticity of human tissue and its shape.
**In fact Massad Ayoob likend that wound channel to what would you get with a 45acp ball.
The Far Dot is as on point as it sounds.
That rear iron sight has no adjustment at all, can not even drift for windage. That is disappointing to me.
I'm completely new to 1911/2011 guns. Is it normal for them to be so wet with lube?
No only. The parts that are touching need oil
The ones shipped from over seas are coated heavily typically to prevent any corrosion if I’m not mistaken. Clean the entire gun apply lube to the proper moving parts and go shoot.
Nice 10 mm.
Fix the sight and film a new accuracy test. What the actual heck
Am I the only one who absolutely hates gripsafeties? Especially the ones with a portruding block like that on the bottom. They jam into my hand every time I shoot one of these.
Just to be clear the 45 is NOT better than the 10mm. Statistically speaking, it's the same as 9mm and 40cal in one shot stops.
I think the angle chosen for the outside shots when you were explaining it probably wasn't the best choice a profile shot like you were talking away from the camera.
The camera I was looking into wasn't recording. I didn't like the angle I had to use either : )
Recoil ??? If a 40 is too much for ppl they dont need a handgun. 10mm is not a hunting round. 44mah and up are hunting rounds.
Alaskans really droolin rn...
>Aluminum frame
10mm cracks steel frames, wtf do you think it's going to do that shitty aluminum one?
6 pound trigger?! I'll stick with the Bul Armory and nighthawk
Trigger is a little excessive.

They shouldn’t have called it the “2311”. It’s not “current”. It’s a 2011
The 2011 name is trademarked by Staccato. Even so: this gun is patterned after a 2011, so it’s really a 2011. They just can’t market it as a 2011.
I just hate that they called it “2311”. The 2311 is a different gun. The 2311 is NOT a 2011. I just don’t get it. Doesn’t make sense naming it after a different platform of which the Girsan is NOT.

@@Jrock628 no prob, man! 👍
I can't trust your reviews because you give everything a good review and justify any downfalls. For the price of this and a trigger job you can buy a better 2011.
Excellent review. Do not like the Turkish politics especially being a NATO ally and recent comments from their leadership, but their manufacturing capabilities are very good and I know they manufacture components for our military. This looks like a buy for me.
It can be a good weapon and I personally like it. but in service and what they offer for me, it is not good. They only come with a magazine, the warranty handling is not correct. You have to pay for shipping yourself and their product store does not give you the option to buy the same gun in a different color or combine the colors in two tones. They do not sell the slide with designs, nor compensated barrels, in short, nothing! just the gun and that's it! They have nothing to offer in packaging for customers! And in my opinion for a thousand dollars, at least, the package should come like the Canik. or at least with 3 magazines and something to clean it or change the grip.
10mm has more power than the 357!!!
As much of a fan as i am of 10mm. For the most part no it does not. Most 10mm factory loads are neutered as hell.
