Look good waterproofs...we started exploring rivers and their catchment areas after doing the mountains, the Tilt was a favourite, around 220 km square catchment, lots to see, or maybe I'm too lazy to do the mountains at 62 years. 😅

Excellent video as ever. The weather has collapsed in time for a planned week up in the Cairngorms! When I went up Stuc a' Chroin I lost the path and found myself on a steep grassy bank which was a bit alarming, but the way became clear gradually and it didn't take long in the end. The long walk out skirting Ben Vorlich felt like it would never end so I see your logic in going back that way. Here's to some better weather soon! Best wishes, Murdo

Hi Charlie, Just checked my log did these June 1993, I remember stuc a' Chroin was in thick mist so last section felt nervy as you couldn't see where you were going, the trip was memorable for the wrong reasons as i sleep in local woods the midge were very hungry that night, never again I vowed. Still all part of the Adventure, look forward to your next video. Kind regards Mark Shaw.

The midge must have thought it was Christmas with you sleeping in the woods.... a meal that doesn't move away 🤣 A hard lesson no doubt. Cheers

Ye make it look so easy :)...love those jackets..HH yes ? So after 3000 km touring Scotland every mountain was smothered in dark clouds and atrocious weather 🌧 for the last 2 weeks, i widnt risk going up any although had plans..soaked to the skin on a motorcycle/wild camping lol Question, do you do much preparation before you make it like a wee dander lol 15km ! because ye seem to know the mountains so well and ye never put a foot wrong or get rattled by anything :) ... your videos are so calm. Ye are legends 👏 M ☘️ back to Scotland in feb ❄️ thks for videos

We have a lot of experience of the Munros but generally we would review the route and estimate our time for the distance. Obviously, you need to know your own walking timings for height and distance just so you don't have any surprises during your day. Its all good fun.... Cheers
