It's good looking, particularly for its time, and you can never have too many Zakus, good accessories. I prefer the HGUC Zaku II, but I am glad there's a Zaku for all seasons.
***** speaking of, liking the look of the Zaku I Thunderbolts version? I am definitely looking forward to whenever you and/or Prime review it, since I am curious how bad the stickers are gonna be and how much is plastic making that super-striking color scheme
Arrowdodger So far, I'm loving it. I really like how the backpack is more traditional compared to the other machines. And the striking colour scheme is pretty neat too.
I love MS Team, and Zakus, so bought this kit. Was severely disappointed due to its brick-ness and (in my opinion) poor head molding. This urgently needs a 20th anniversary HGUC release with contemporary articulation and molding for sure. Thanks for making the review though!
if you're willing to do some modification it's articulation can rival the old HGUC Zaku-II, I modified all three of mine and now kinda feel silly for getting the old HGUC one, but I still haven't come up with a fix for those ankles I did modify some of the trigger finger hands and now they can carry their bazookas over the shoulder, as well as added a skirt mount for their heat hawks.
Just finished the one from the gundam vs zaku two pack. With a little work these Zaku's still end up looking really good, only drawback i found was that mine could not hold the bazooka
got 4 of those, they are fantastic considering the price, they may be bricks but a lil modifications here and there with paper clips to hold the loadout and cuts here and there for the articulations, rises up the value of that kit by a big margin.
Charmayn Deather I actually found one of these at a store in the Orange County area of SoCal for $17, so yeah its been in its Box for almost a decade and I want it (if I have money left after Celebration Anaheim and don't see anything else I want more). God sometimes I wish I had a Job and a Drivers License before now, It would making buying Gunpla so much easier for me (though I supposed it prevents me from going overboard on buying things, which makes me wonder how Kakarot affords all of his PG kits, my guess is he splits rent with someone, lives with Family, or {however unlikely this is} has a VERY well paying Job)
Could you please review the MS Cannon? I want to make a GM cannon custom and i am not sure if i should buy something like gelgoog cannon and do a kit bash or if i should buy the MS cannon.
With the new Ground GM and the upcoming Blue Destiny remake, are you hoping to see a redesign of the J/F Zaku II? Probably would be a P-Bandai based off the Origin body, if it ever happened.
Yeah, it was based on the 08th MS Team lineart, probably since that was the most up-to-date version of the Zaku 2 at the time. (Yes, the Borjarnon was around in 1999. No, that ain’t a Zaku.)
Indeed it is and how I got it was a bit funny. I bought something for my mom on this website and they offered free shipping for purchases of €50+ and the stuff she wanted was like €48 so I browsed around for some cheap stuff. Those jewel things were the only things cheap enough so I decided to give it a shot since they were pretty much free anyways. And now I have like 50 of those little jewels.
Arrowdodger I've been keeping up on what I could catch in GundamGuy but I'm not actively following it(I'm much more excited about Origin and BF Season 2). My first impression was pretty "meh" =P
***** I like the designs, but I am also more interested in build fighters season 2 and origin. speaking of which, messaged you about something from BF season 2
***** Yeah, it looks more like someone just made a Zaku II on his/her own personal style and dubbed it the Zaku IV/Neo zaku =P (I'm pretty sure that that's the leg-mounted missile launcher on his shoulder so that's not even a new thing)

There really is a Zaku for everyone.

agreed. I do still wish they'd sell the FA gundam tbolt version without the backpack. it just looks fantastic

Soundwave85 the F2 type is good and they are about to release the zaku II c-type so you got your wish.
stroopwafel needs that revive.
and now your dream is a reality
I am so psyched for the Ver Anime figure for this design to be released. It’s going to look so good.
It was nice to see you review this particular HG Zaku II because HG Char's Zaku II that I have is same one but in Char's colors.

Hey! How did you fix the articualtion of this kit? Thanks
I got the Western-exclusive Char version of this...great molding, but the articulation below the waist is just...bad. It basically just stands there.

And it's up. Good luck with the kitbash =)
Can you review the gouf custom (08th team)?

Bandai needs to make a HGUC zaku II ground type.
After watching your PG char's zaku ii review. That PG really looks like this kit. XDXD

Can the zaku II f2 carry the bazooka from this set?
where did you get the eye jewel? was it the one you mentioned as an option for your Hizack?

hehe nice! well, it's a good effect.
by the way, been keeping up with Reconguista news?

Arrowdodger I don't see any messages in my inbox =/
if only neo zeon had made a Zaku IV that would have been awesome .
mahq.net/mecha/gundam/ageta/neo-zaku.htm
Warning: might contain dissappointment

Geara doga, marasai, geara zulu... all zaku type suit
Those seam lines tho
WILL the 'J Type' be revived?
how on the fuck this looks better than the HGUC zaku II??? (although we are getting a revive that is way much expensive than 800)
I can't stand the late 90's/early 2000's Zaku molds. The proportions are so...wrong.
Well i like it it look good to me right gunpla fans
need new gundam series where the main protagonist pilot a zaku not a gundam type ms
