  • Here's help finding the parts (by popular demand)
    axle cap: amzn.to/3Y87PpN
    push on nut: amzn.to/3h5AkDG
    replacement wheels: amzn.to/3iMO2vC
Sometimes it's just a little tricky to replace a simple 10" wheel from a hand truck, dolly, generator, pressure washer, etc. There are several types of one-way or pressed on keepers, and maybe this will help you with your problem.
I used locking pliers, lubricant, a hammer and a 17mm socket to get this job done. Also, the axle was 5/8", I accidentally called it 5/16" Haha...

Genius and a life saver. Messed up on my kids ride on toy 😂 struggled for half an hour trying to get one off. Finally found out what the caps were called and found this video and like magic they popped off. Many thanks to this man!

I just got some of those wheels. It's best to drill a hole in the axel and use a cotter pin to hold the wheel on. That way it's easier to get off next time. That's what I did anyway.

That’s an understandable alternative for sure. Thanks for sharing that.

Not everybody has a diamond tip drill bit or carbide drill bit.

P.S., ALWAYS check the inside of your tires 🛞 for any puncturing objects upon disassembly, and repair/replacement 👨‍🔧 of the tube. This will prevent a secondary flat tire 🛞 with the new, or repaired tube. There is nothing more maddening 😠 than a second flat tire 🛞. Your friend, Jeff.

That is definitely another good tip. Thanks for sharing it, Jeff!

Ya can also patch the old tube, or use Slime in your tires. Just don’t patch the tube 🚇, and then use Slime, or it’ll cause ya a problem with the patch coming off of the tube. The end result will be a flat tire 🛞. I found this out on my bike tubes. Happy 😊 and safe New Year!! Your friend, Jeff.

I don't know how true it is but, I have heard that harbor freight inner tubes are real thin and do not last too long.

I’m not sure. Sometimes it’s easiest to just put on a whole new wheel + tire assembly. Thanks

If the tires are new, why should they go flat if they do not get punctured by anything. I got a new dolly and within two weeks the tires kept loosing pressure. Since Home Depot didn't want to replace the faulty tires, I returned the whole thing. Any way, thanks a lot for the tutorial.

They should not go flat, that is for sure. One idea that comes to mind is that the valve stems might be leaking. If it happens again try squirting soapy water on the wheels everywhere and see if there are bubbles someplace that would be a clue. Thanks for your question!

Drill a small hole on the axle and stick a cotter pin in it.less hassle

If you have the tools and ability to drill a hole into a round metal axle, go for it!
