My caps came off easy with a small pry bar. Had trouble with the new push nut until I watched you do it with a socket. So simple . Thanks

Push nuts vary in style. I've always removed them carefully and reused them. If you understand how they work, you can figure out how to remove and reuse them. I've found them sold at hardware, craft, and auto parts stores .

$6 for a push nut sounds expensive (at least to me). Maybe this tip will help. I just cut a slit in the nut and pryed it off and reused it. The slit is enough to release it, but not so bad that it couldn't still hold again. Now if you are in a commercial or critical use application you may want to go for the new one. Just trying to help. Thank you for posting it was a big help to me.

I ended up using a cheap assortment pack of E-Clips from harbor freight. I think I paid $5 for the whole pack of em. There is a good size in there that I was able to use on the axle with pushing it down with socket and hammer

Hay man, thanks. I am a mover. I live in a small town. I was forced to buy the junk that is at home depot. The wheels I got have same initial device holding in. The wheels are real wobbly. It is driving me nuts. I sent you a like and subscribed; because I am surprised there is a video out there like this. That initial nut I could not figure out how to remove....now I know. I noticed the wheel you replaced on dolly is wobbly too. How can you stand to move a dolly with heavy stuff on it; and it goes every which way? It is like a dolly on liter of everclear with those type wheels; and set up. Now you know what I go through, and thank you again sir.

You welcome, yes they get wobbly quick have to replace them often if you use it alot, good luck

@@dantheman1109 Looks like the new wheels you installed were wobbly. I don't get it, that part of it. I am trying to get out of the wobbly dolly syndrome that is commonly occurring. Any advice? This can be a problem when going down a narrow ramp on truck with heavy refrigerator on your dolly on everclear, for real. I need help bro. I sent you a like and subscribed; for I was really surprised someone thought of this. I am a follower now of you Dan the man.

shouldn't you put a washer before inserting the push nut? I noticed on mine it has 2 washers and 1 push nuts per tire.

I wish I had watched before ordering replacement wheels from Amazon. Harbor Freight 10" wheels are definitely a better deal. It seems really weird that push nuts can't be obtained locally, but I sure can't find them. I think that I'll purchase an 8-pack from Amazon, though, for $8.99 rather than two for $5.20.

I found out you can get wheels in home depot comes with push nut to but little pricey around $30 I think. Thank you for watching.

Buddy why go through all the trouble of buying and looking for a push nut? Drill a 1/8's hole through the stock and insert a cotter pin. It's not rocket science but you make it complicated; keep it simple.
