  • My Handtruck's tires always seem to be going flat. I don't always use it, but when I do..I don't want to fill them with air.
I figured I'd add some Fix a Flat to them.
    Seems to work good....

Thank you--shied away from the Fix-A-Flat to try the zip tie or rope method to squeeze the tire center and make the sidewalls seal... Worked like a charm... used a kids jump rope for rope and a simple screwdriver. Started inflating with an air compressor with a digital readout--once I saw the pressure climb up past 18 psi slowly loosened the rope knot and let it keep going to 30 psi... Thank you for the video--figure I'd save the Fix-A-Flat for a puncture or tire seal issue!

Thank you guy. I have the identical hand truck with the same/identical problem! I have to roll it out to the car and use a small d/c emergency compressor every time i want to use it. I was gonna take it over to the auto tire shop and have them fix it for about$10 per tire when the idea of fix-a-flat hit me. I Googled "can i put "fix-a-flat" in a hand truck tire?" Your video popped up and it looks like problem solved.

Nope. The rubber valve stem would push back inside the rim / tire.
I didn't remove the schrader valve.
I just used the needle nose pliers to hold the stem, so I could screw the can of fix a flat onto the valve assembly.
You definitely have to remove the schrader valve for the Slime tire stuff. :)

    It's a tubeless tire.
The fix a flat does a pretty good job of
sealing the bead of the tire to the rim.
Worked for me. Still holds air too. :)

I tried Fix-a-Flat to fix a flat tire on my Milwaukee hand truck. It seemed to work for a while and then it stopped working. So, I tried it again. It seemed to work for while and it quit working. After the third time, I remembered the definition of insanity as doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. For a permanent fix, you need to replace the wheel.

Thanks for posting this - I have been thinking about doing the same thing and feel better finding someone that's done it.

Is that a tubeless tire? Was the seal broken on it when you started? While always have a busted seal, will fix-a-flat fix that? Thanks for the video.

Is there enough contents / spray in the Fix-It can to do both tires or only one tire?

leaving the valve stem out wasn't an issue?

Did you use one can for each tire? Or split one between both wheels? I couldn't tell, I see you posted this 8 years ago but would be greatful for a response.

@@HnkRrdn It was one fan for both tires. It was more in the one that kept getting flat. So 1 for both.!👍😉

@@CheapGeek thank you! I have an issue with my hand truck s the tires won’t stick to the rim and the air leaks out! I really don’t want to have to buy a whole new tires nor do I currently have the tools to change it out with prior to my next move. Thank you soooo much for those posts and your swift reply. I’m going to try this this afternoon!
