100% Agree! I have had to skate long distances to street spots from my old house for 3 years and had to learn quick how to skate switch comfortably. BEST decision I’ve ever made in skating. It makes skateboarding so much more fun in the streets and in parks when you can comfortably ride and push in both stances.
Hell yeah Steve! Follow this direction for your channel. You do great tutorial videos. I have 1 and a half more months till my broken foot can skate again. I was focusing heavy on switch before I broke it. Can't wait to pick up where I left off. Keep up the posi shit and the haters gonna shut up.
Yeah man. I’ve been doing it for years riding switch about a quarter of my totally skate time and switch STILL feels weird. I’m slowing getting there though
i’ve actually been trying to cruise around switch lately getting comfortable doing ollies up and down curbs switch just going down the street without stopping. i’ve also been trying to get shuvit and front shuv in all 8 stances for consistency
i hate how youre so right i push myself to do this for two reasons un even shoe wear and front foot fatigue i have to "switch" even if its for 3 mins or less just to give my dominate leg a break but god i feel so embarrased and sloppy but i did notice little improvements each time i kept pushing to and from skate spots
Yes Ninja. Again you’ve exactly hit the nail on the head. I skate to work regular and I skate back home switch and have literally been doing it for years. There’s no other way to activate your switch leg muscles. It still feels a bit weird to skate switch but I’m nearly there at the point where I’m ambidextrous
Super beginner here. Going on one year total skate time Pushing regular. Have not skated for 5 months and I plan on skating next year of practice switch .
Very true! I used to push mongo (a long time ago and I pretty much skated alone so I didn't know any better!). I found it more difficult to learn to push regular after because i couldn't balance the best on my regular front foot. Switch pushing was easy though..
Yeah honestly I think the biggest thing that made switch riding click for me must have been how you have to shift weight quite deliberately onto the non-dominant foot. Once you can ride around pushing switch with that in mind and when you practice kick turns in switch, it'll be quite easy to learn. But... yes, it's not an instant thing. It'll take about as long to learn properly, as it probably takes most to learn regular manuals. Because yes, you are practicing balance.
Yeah I found that aswell you’ve got to deliberately force weight onto your non dominant foot when necessary and resist the urge to lean back. Started practicing switch mannys and I’m hoping the weight distribution will become less deliberate and more natural
good tip. i always liked switch mongo cus you could always tell when that person or your self was skateing switch cus noone ever pushed mongo unless they had a walmart nash skateboard with 2 trucks going the same direction haha see a real g do a mongo push your like Damn! that shit was switch haha keep the content coming
Oh yeah. Switch mongo. I grew up skating mongo and don’t care. Now I push switch mongo. Indeed I now push in all four stances and recommend everyone do the same
Mongo switch isn't cool anymore??? Stevie Williams says otherwise... Good tip - I definitely have a balance issue when it comes to switch/fakie. Gonna try out that 1 foot technique to build some cakemuscle in my non dominant leg
Come on, there are no tips other than the fact that you have to learn to skate all over again! Maybe try only skating switch for a month if that doesn’t hurt your self esteem. I remember thinking that I could use my knowledge of learning to kickflip to make learning switch flip easier. NOPE, you have to start over!
i was expecting a joke tutorial but this was actually helpful

I agree. The very first thing that freaks out a beginner is going up a ramp and coming down fakie and not knowing what to do
Hell yeah Steve! Follow this direction for your channel. You do great tutorial videos.

Thank you so much. I trained this for maybe two weeks and now i can push like a skateboarder after landing a 180 👍
Thanks man. It's a simple solution that just makes sense. Next step, ollie over manhole covers and up curbs switch.
Good call Ninja.
My switch peddle game is seriousely lack’N
Imma apply these ancient chinese ninja techniques u have revealed too us🙏🏻
Thumbnail looks great!
good idea, will try it out when it stops snowing. Thanks Steve
I love your intro songs, its probably 40 percent of why I am still here.
EDIT: The Hakunnah Mutatah Sounded lonely today.
Grear advice. I used to skate to and from school switch. No pushing regular or switch feels natural.
Fair play, Doug. Great idea. I’ve had to push switch home from work for YEARS to make it feel better but now both ways feel natural
Good tips, been doing this and ive been getting better at riding switch.
is true, a start doing this switch push since 6 years and now my swtich is gettind daily better. thank you
good advice! i like how it boils down to:
in order to ride switch, ride switch
nothing beats just trying until you can do it
Yeah man. I’ve been doing it for years riding switch about a quarter of my totally skate time and switch STILL feels weird. I’m slowing getting there though
Thank you I will be trying these for the next week
wow, I will try that!
thanks ninja
You said you would, and you did! Thanks bro!

i’ve actually been trying to cruise around switch lately getting comfortable doing ollies up and down curbs switch just going down the street without stopping. i’ve also been trying to get shuvit and front shuv in all 8 stances for consistency
Agreed. I now warm up doing the basics in all stances because it totally makes sense and is a great warm-up
Great tip!
Great tip man! Thanks.
i hate how youre so right

for two reasons
un even shoe wear
and front foot fatigue
i have to "switch" even if its for 3 mins or less
just to give my dominate leg a break
but god i feel so embarrased and sloppy
but i did notice little improvements each time i kept pushing to and from skate spots
I love the tutorials Ninja. Great tip to get more comfortable skating switch
Good shit thanks for the tip man, gonna try this today

Needed this one

Very helpful
I'm actually gonna start doing that. Going to places regular then switch on the way back.
I really need to start doing this. I have nothing switch. I need to at least learn to push and roll around.
Hiya Keith. I started with shuvits. (No pop.) I did them in all stances and then started to move on to all stances pop shuvs. So fun
Thx for the tip🤜
steve has a big brain
after skating for 10 years i just recently started doing nollie tricks lol
Thank you bro 🙌🙌👊
❤
Realest shit ever gives u the confidence to hit switch tricks
I'm going out to try the balance on my non reg stance foot
I think pushing switch improves your switch skating

I’m really happy that I actually ride switch so well. My next goal is to bomb a hill switch lol vid comin soon im going to eat shit
Ill be waiting for that video
Oh it’s SO WEIRD skating a hill switch. You can feel your switch back leg is not used to holding the slight powerslides when carving
good tip. i always liked switch mongo cus you could always tell when that person or your self was skateing switch cus noone ever pushed mongo unless they had a walmart nash skateboard with 2 trucks going the same direction haha see a real g do a mongo push your like Damn! that shit was switch haha keep the content coming
When I started skating switch everyone pushed mongo switch. But I didn't, I wanted people to question what stance is regular haha
When I first learned I was pushing mongo regular then when I was learning how to skate switch pushing became no problem.
Why isn’t this man in SLS he is a badass skateboarder i dig the new rap song too bro😂
We need more cooking videos
Yeah we do. Noodles!
Sick ass video
Wow for once he not bashing but teaching
Oh yeah. Switch mongo. I grew up skating mongo and don’t care. Now I push switch mongo. Indeed I now push in all four stances and recommend everyone do the same
one day forsure.
I can only switch one and switch fa shuv and kinda switch back one and switch shuv here and there but the Ollie switch 😭is so butt
I push everywhere switch
🤙
Is 44 too late?
nah
My forty nine year old self says no
😯😯
Mongo switch isn't cool anymore??? Stevie Williams says otherwise...

Switch flip is SO HARD. Funnily enough switch tre is much easier for me. I’ve no idea why. Well done for skating switch, man
Facts bro. What I had to do is simulate everything I did at the beginning but in switch. Stationary ollies, rolling off curb, ollieing onto curb etc
The goal is to being able to do a legit switch power slide, now that's control. No fakie pretend stuff.
Pushing switch normally feels so much better than switch mongo. Can't figure out why people still do it.
i like to push with my regular stance and foot then step on switch like i was mongo pushing the whoole time
I can tell you pushing switch mongo helps strengthen your leg for switch no-comply tricks
I think mongo pushing looks f ing great.
I used to skate mongo, then i fixed it. Now I skate switch. Mongo ftw.
the only guys whose i can think are welcome mongo pushers int he mainsteam are Tiago, Yuri, just kidding
Where was the 'bitches' after Hakuna Matata? 'New year new you' type shit or something?
Teehee
Where's my bitches?
good tip man ty
thanks ninja
