Such a detailed and beautiful song, adore everything about this. At last we have some more quality Art Pop in esc. My 3rd of the year, so glad you love this.

This is also one of my favourites. It's a simple tune, but it's intriguing, a little vintage, yet still modern, and moreover Monika Liu is a very confident and competent performer, she's really very much at ease on stage.
For the third time in a row lithuania is in my top 5. The lithuanian national selection was one of the stronger ones this year but as soon as I heard this song I knew it was all over. This just screams quality and the somewhat minimalistic instrumentation consisting of the most unique of noises makes this amazing for me. Monika is also one of the standout performers of this year, I really recommend you watch her on the national final. I hope this risk pays off for lithuania. I’m in love with this entry. It is my personal 4th
I didn't like this at first... But then I properly sat down and listened to it, and the mysterious atmosphere won me over. The verses in particular are incredible I think, they never go anywhere that I'm expecting. Surely the juries should give this credit! Surely... I've never heard anything like it before, as you said... I don't know if I'd want to see people trying to imitate it, because there's a really unique charm that I think it would be hard to match. But that makes the song so special. And Monika is a great performer too. Nice to see Lithuanian being sung!
The amount of CLASS exuding from this entry is impeccable! I just feel like I'm being toyed with as a listener when this song is on. It's less of me listening to the song, and more the song grabbing me by the hand and being like "hey let's check this out". It somehow manages to to have an overall serious sound, while still having playful elements scattered everywhere. Suggestive is definitely a great word to describe it! The vocal melody sounds super unique to me. It sounds almost monotone at some points, but with just enough variation to remain in this playful zone. Especially in the chorus, I get the effect where the chorus never really "ends", and the last note sounds unresolved. It makes for some great transitions, and you always want to know where the song decides to go. The melodic variation in the verses manages to keep my interest as well. I love all the little effects they've put in. They sound so random, but for this setting I think it works really well, maybe slightly jarring at first. I'm talking about the lazor sounds, and the little rattle in the chorus and stuff like that. I think they get a lot out of the panning of different instruments, like sometimes you can hear a little tingling all the way to the left, while there's some wobbling in the right (not concrete examples) it's overall very charming. There's good contrast between the instruments, I love the sound of the high pitched strings on top of the "bubbly" bass sound they. That leaves the middle part to the vocals and the guitar and other effects they eventually add. It's like every frequency is being used, but they don't drown each other out. Is that what they call good mixing? I really love how the outro sounds. It's not quite a _climax_ per se, but I think it serves as one. The soundstage is completely filled and I love the tone of the reverbed guitar, and I think it puts a really nice bowtie on the song as a whole. From the opening, to the verses and chorus, and then to the final outro, the song was completely in control throughout the whole thing. And I've said "the song" a lot, but Monika deserves so much credit as well. First of all, writing the song herself (at least I think so), but also just for her presence. She performs this song with utmost confidence, and she is an absolutely perfect fit for the song. Perks of writing your own song?
This is my favorite song this year, and when you smiled at the start my heart soared because I knew you liked it. There is something so captivating about this song and the way Monika Liu performs this live is so arresting, like you just stop and watch her for the three minutes, and she draws you in and doesn't let you go until it's done and even then the song still lingers on your mind. Monika has described the song as "Spooky Disco" and I can't help but think that whenever I hear it. There are not many songs like this but it makes me think of the musical "Cabaret".
Another one of my favourites. It takes me to a smoke-filled, semi-dark candle light only jazz café. It's what I imagine a song by Duchess in Aristocats be like when they're partying with the jazz cats, to throw another favourite of mine in 😁. Nice to see you get the same vibe.
"I'm not going to listen to it a lot but when I do, I'm going to be loving it." This is pretty much how to describe Lithuania's song this year. I never actively go out to put this one on but when it comes on the playlist, I'm into it. It's outside of Eurovision, it's outside of the rest of the selection, it's in its own little world. It's sophisticated, playful and Monika is an excellent live vocalist. It's the sort of song that if it qualifies, it makes the final better.
This song has its own vibe. It’s a dance. You can almost imagine you dancing with her in a mysterious place or something. The fact that it’s so unique, is that I most like in this song. And that’s why I love ESC. 😊 Thank you for the video!
I like this song! The arrangement is very cool and I love the music. All the different sounds creates a lovely atmosphere. Monika has a special tone in her voice which I really like as well. Melodically it’s not the most memorable song and I haven’t been listening to it that much, but I don’t skip it when it comes on. I really hope this song will qualify. I don’t think it will win, but I do think it can get a decent result in the final!
I’m loving this classy entry too. It feels like when you’re walking home a bit dizzy at 2:00 a.m. through a city with a friend. And I’m sure Monika will execute this very well live as she did in the national finals. In my ranking this comes second after Poland.
I think atmospheric is the right word, it's all very subtle but it still takes you in. At any rate it's a very pleasant listen and I'd love to see it get a good result
It's really enjoyable seeing you get excited about a song. Your joy is infectious. As for the song, on first listen I thought it was just plodding along and didn't really like or dislike anything. On repeat listens I did enjoy it a bit more. It also reminded me of a specific place that made me feel uncomfortable but that's a personal issue.
I like this song, but it took a time to grow on me. It's kind of sexy, but not in a "in your face way"... it is like in an elegant, demure way. I enjoy it. And Lithuanian is a cool language! Take care, min vän!
Ah yes, one of my two queens this year (the other being Serbia). I'd suggest checking her live performance as well. For me, I just thought that the song was cool and different the first time I listen to it and pay no mind, not putting it on any playlist. Yet I do come back to revisit the song once in a while and the more I listen to it the more I realise how ingenious and well-thought-out the composition and the lyrics are. I agree with the point that on the first listen it is kinda hard to comprehend all the elements of the song. It came off as this chill and groovy entry, which makes it enjoyable of course, but there is a lot more to it and I only realised the distorted? (sorry no better word) guitar sound once you point it out. P.s: I might be wrong but from her interview, it's one of the songs in Monika's new album and it might actually be 5 minutes long in her track. I'll notify you if she release a longer version of it.
I want this in the final as well (and on the left side of the scoreboard). The sensual vocal run at 1:18 and the chromatic bass walkdown combined with the high-pitched staccato string part in the following verse are easily my favorite parts in here. I don't remember the name of the scale being used in said vocal run, but the notes are D..., Db, D, E, F, E, D, F, A..., Ab... I've heard this scale being used in jazz and oriental music before, it's such a cool melody. I can't expect the televote (outside the Lithuanian diaspora votes) to go crazy for this, but if the juries don't reward this, I will be very disappointed... Monika is very charismatic live, so that can only increase Lithuania's chances.
Hmmm... my knowledge of scales out of the ordinary isn't too great... minor scale with a minor fifth and major seventh? sounds intriguing haha... same notes as in "Misirlou", right?
This is far from my favorite. But with that being said, it’s hella cool. It has a very timeless aura. It’s a bit jazzy, and her looks make it sound like a 30s anthem or so, but it’s production is so modern and reminds me of ”Therefore I am” by Billie Eilish. So I see it as a really nice mix between new and old which all in all makes it really timeless. And it’s very cinematic. It’s quite hypnotic. I can absolutely picture it in a film noire or so. It’s introguing. BUT - while I’m happy it participates - it’s quite far from being my favorite. It’s my 24th.

When this was released, people really liked it. But yeah, now it is kind of ignored by a lot of people. It's still in my top 10 tho.
