Thank you for interviewing PL and help expose how much of a sensitive weak man LTG is.
He doesn’t want ppl knowing his age because his old girlfriend was 17 when they started dating and he was 29 at the time. There’s a clip on his stream when they were arguing otp and he forgot to mute his mic. The basis of the argument was that he chose to go to EVO over spending time with her for their 4 year anniversary and she was 21 at the time of saying that. So that means they would’ve started dating when she was 17.

@@shinfitz No that's not it at all. He wants Lao to function like he always had. NRS has shown you they can do legacy look at mk1 cage for reference. Nearly a copy and paste of mk9 minus force balls plus added star gimmick with a parry. Look at Takeda reveal clip he's a legacy character pulling from two of his MKX variations.
NRS can do this but chooses to revamp kung lao each game and strip something away from him to the point all his key moves the character is known for is on a Kameo that every character has access to use meanwhile lao just has what bf2 goro?

Also, he specifically says he doesn't want to be in a position where he'd have to do a different anti-air, and specifically says he wants to be able to zip around the stage like the old Lao.
If he got his way it would be easy anti-air for him but difficult to anti-air him. That's what the result would be.
The cheapest thing about mk9 kung lao was ex teleport but without that he couldn't compete with the top tier. I'm not sure what about Kung Lao functioning the way hes supposed to "like a shoto" is an issue. Spin in mk2, mk3 were all used as an anti air. So if we are going by his legacy design which they did in mk9 he functioned like that. In MKX he functioned like that a little bit but literally removed armor from the spin.
Enjoying seeing PL for staying in the scene and still active. Idk many people who can come back from that defeat from sonic fox. My respect shot up for PL

Not only has he always been insecure about his real age (that he was only mad at PL for because he confirmed his real age to Kani, a 23 year old girl) but he never had this same reaction when Bruce (BrucedropEmOff) called him old after Bruce's chat told him LTG's real age and name and on top of that Kani calls him old all the time when she pops up in his chat, she trolls the hell out of him and she's the only one that's alowed to do it to the point where his own chat points it out. So why is he all of a sudden this mad at PL? On top of that he's always hated black people, he literally created his own racial slur towards them, he talks about how they cant be trusted every stream and it's a big part of the reason he fell out with his own sister, who publically had a back and forth with him about him hating himself and his own race and people. Despite the fact that he regularly expresses distain for his own people, for some reason PL is still willing to talk it out with the guy, just cut him off, you have more connections atp and less bridges burned, fuck LTG's friendship.

Bison discourse made me realize nobody actually gives a fuck about actual balance as long as their favorite character is busted. His stans are basically the Season 2 variant of Ken downplayers from last season.
Like he has bad matchups like any other character in the game but I think VesperArcade put it eloquently. He's anti meta but plays the SF6 meta really well at the same time. Great buttons, stupid damage, tons of options. I don't get the "bad defensive options" complaint. He makes Akuma seem like a struggle character in comparison lol.

I think you're underestimating the mental stack of SF6 a tad bit. Bison has options from every single part of the screen and that is compounded with the system mechanics and three supers he can use. Sf6 is not generally as fast-paced and Tekken technically has more options, but realistically, you do not have to worry about the vast majority of those options. Because SF6 has fewer moves, you'll likely see them all each match. A Tekken god likely wont be knowledge checking with something obscure

I love PL's responses to Mike's shock at his legacy Streetfighter skills transferring so quickly to SF6. SF isn't easier than Tekken - they are both fighting games and if you spent a long time on one, you'll be good at others. Mike feels a lot more comfortable playing streetfighter because it has toned down its volatility from SFV, while Tekken is currently in its coinflip-heavy SFV stage.... so of course SF6 feels more comfortable and pleasant for a fundamentally sound fighting game player, while Tekken feels stressful even if you're at the top of your game. And on Tekken 8 I've seen my orange rank wife who has less than 24 hours total play experience (beyond a childhood with Tekken 3) absolutely dominate red ranks with Lilli... using the simple controls. (And she absolutely enjoys herself doing it.....credit to the fun and accessible nature of Tekken 8)
It might be a me thing, but I have a harder time doing combos in SF6 than Tekken 8. Idk. It's for that reason why ive been sticking with Zangief. Maybe i just have that grappler mindset for Street Fighter.
I can do combos in Tekken tho. Not the most optimal, but enough to get me wins.

I been telling people since the whole one and done thing started. That it's not just tekken. If u play both games you will see its a issue on all the games as well. But some reason everyone like to pick on tekken. Like ant no other games don't got a one and done issue. Sf6 got a cheating issue as well but no one wanna talk about that much. Find a cheater in tekken and all a sudden every tekken player a cheater lol.
First off I want to preface this by saying Tekken is way harder than SF. Doesn't really matter which game we are comparing for the most part. However a lot of the reasons you gave were kind of odd. Outside of a few rare moves like Blanka ball there is no way you are reacting to a special move because it's been announced. That's just cap lol. Secondly Master rank should have ranks in itself. A high lvl Master rank player is leagues above a low lvl Master rank player, so much that they might as well be playing a different game. I think high MR players would be a fair comparison to Tekken God of Destruction not just Master Rank in general. I would be surprised if your friend was actually in Legend Rank but if he was I guess that invalidates everything I just said lol. Also SF is definitely less stressful than Tekken but I think that's also because you are probably playing it fairly casually. Depending you, your drive gauge, your opponent's drive gauge and your opponent's health change the combos you should be going for. It's not easy to always answer optimally. Now if you are just going for basic bnbs without considering that then yeah I guess SF6 is pretty stress free but that isn't how you should be playing the game.

Listening to pl about the moves makes me think about when I picked up tekken I knew about the game since I was a kid but started playing it seriously with tekken tag 2 I'm fact I picked mk9 as well what the thing with mk is they don't have legacy other than the names every game they rebuild their movesets but ever since I played ttt2 lili is mostly the same with added moves what I hate as well in mk1 is you got small moveset ..like I played mileena/kitana and uh .. you do 1,2 on mileena and u get fb the other strings she has are also dogshit and what then you rely on kameo but you can't pick what you like cuz you're gonna get fucked as PL said and was thinking that too this game is just a gimmick and nothing else
