In LA County, Judge Michael Nash used to have Adoption Day on Saturdays so working parents and family, and school-aged family, could all be there. The judge, court reporter, and clerk happily volunteered their time. Idk whether it’s still that way. 💕

What a beautiful story and good that these kids are being raised by good parents. Sadly not all kids are being raised like these. Some end up in gangs and other bad things. It's sad to see that some parents can't afford to raise their own kids, but must give up to someone else. At least these kids have a wonderful future. I hope when these kids one day make good $$$$, I hope they will pay back to both parents who loved them.
With all the government benefits, a poor parent can keep their kids. Some even have kids on purpose to keep the gravy train coming. There’s something more going on in that situation. In any event, I’m glad the boys know their mother loves them, and so does their adoptive family. Adoptive mom seems to run a tight ship, and I don’t think any of those kids will get in trouble. 😀
really need an update...especially as one of them said he was not happy at the beginning as he would miss his Mum...it broke my heart....do they ever get to see their Mum??
Sometimes it's a good thing. Sometimes the parents abuse them! And sometimes financially or mentally unstable they do the right thing! I wish other family members will take them. Look how happy they are! 😎
Audrey it said she gave them up for foster, not that they were taken. Maybe she didn't accept help or had other things going on. As a foster mother, I know that most social workers try to help the parents reunite, but their priority is always the children. The parents have to want to help themselves.

I have even gone to apartments with one month rent or paid a bill just to make the family stable. There is something deeper in regards to the mother.
PEB - stop judging people you know nothing about. Those programs are not enough for a poor mother. She was most likely young with no education, not employable, lived in the ghetto and wanted more for the kids. It’s brave what she did it’s not easy giving up your child. It’s her love that gave them a better home. My heart goes to her it must have been so difficult for her.
so the govt foster system gives money per month per child to the foster family, right ? But the mom who didnt have money to put food on the table doesnt get money given to her so she can keep her kids ??? something is wrong.
