I respect Heichachi for fighting to the death for what he believed in since the birth of Kazuya. Kazuya looked past heichachi's intentions and wishes for his own life and of course the fact that his mother was a traitor to the Mishima family
I'm new to Tekken lore, is that why in the cutscene, Heichachi and Kazuya are just chilling when they are usually sworn enemies?
And of course, as soon as I say that, 7:00 happens. I assume that's more of a playful "have fun, old man" thing?

@@Tom_daBomb23 Yup. Also, I just watched a lore video and the scene where all of the Jacks come in happens when Kazuya and Heihachi are in the middle of a fight at the family dojo. The explosion releases Heihachi's father, who is the main antagonist of that game.
From what I understand, this video is a compilation of specific scenes from all of the Tekken games - which may have also appeared in Tekken 7 to tell the Akuma story, I don't know, I've obviously never played the game - that were originally completely unrelated from each other but were reused to tell a coherent story with Akuma's inclusion in the game.
That's what I got from the video I watched, but that video told the story in chronological order of lore so I could be completely wrong.
They really went all out for Tekken 7's story mode. Heihachi instilling his childhood fears back in Kazuya in his last moments despite being the human one in their battle was such a great scene
kazuya is still half human due to heihachi so he's not really an immortal demon like Akuma... I'm just glad Heihachi is finally dead... He always saw his own son as a curse and never really loved him for who he was and his hatred for demon blood brought upon himself death because he did killed Kazuya's mother who he loved and destroyed the love he had for his father plus he tried to kill him since he was a child but failed many times 😂😂😂... What kind of father tries kills his own flesh and blood over and over again... a sadistic narcissist that's who so yes I'm glad he's dead...

There was no cohesive story in this game. It was a bunch of random events all happening at the same time that never really come together. And they made a character from a whole other franchise the main villain for no reason other than selling the game. I like Tekken and all, but this was easily one of the worst fighting game stories I've ever seen.
I have a quick question, will Tekken 8 be the final in the series? Because it's like jin vs kazuya and it's most likely that kazuya dies, so after that what's the point? Does the story end at Tekken 8?
Akuma is one of my favorite characters of all time. Even though this isn't street fighter, he still feels like the villain I grew up playing against. I also like that the developers kept his backstory really mysterious and took a grim reaper type approach to his role.

I respect heihachi more. Out of all those guys in this video, he's the only human going up against dieties and devils. And he gave them all problems. He did not give a fuck who or what akuma was. He went straight to business. And even when devil kazuya came out, heihachi even welcomed it like "I've been waiting for your ass to come out". That's why I fuck with hworang too. When the devil jin comes out, hworang didn't care about the mismatch. He still wanted that smoke.

Heihachi is just a warrior, determined, fearless, someone that Akuma (despite being honorbound to kill him) would greatly respect. Kazuya is confident but for a moment... Heihachi made him feel *fear*, made him regress back to his childhood trauma. Now it's just Kazuya and Jin, can the latter break the cycle?

@@callofdutychile wrong, the series repeatedly states that heihachi wanted to return to the glory days of his youth. Heihachis strongest form was after he trained in the mountains following his defeat by the hands of kazuya after the end of the first Tekken. Just because the lore of Tekken 7 is the only Tekken lore you know it doesn't mean there the rest of the lore doesn't exist.
I was hoping against hope that _somehow_ Kazuya and Heihachi would reconcile in 7, but I guess their feud had to end like that. Here's hoping Jin and Kazuya can make peace. I'd hate to see either of them die.

@@fuckoffmentality299 That was base akuma (assuming this akuma is the same from SF) he didn't go neither Shin or Oni so he was holding back a lot, then again it's hard to judge powers on crossover stuff like this most of the time.
I'd still put base Akuma above kazuya tho since otherwise it wouldn't have made much sense for her to ask for someone to kill both Heiachi and Kazuya if she was just as strong as Akuma was+ Base Akuma bodied base Heiachi pretty hard in their first encounter if i'm not mistaken

I wish the BlazBlue series's FINAL BATTLE between Jin and Ragna ended up doing an epic battle between the brothers just like Kazuya and Heihachi. But, it wasn't. Ragna just trashed Jin easily because Jin has already reached the limits of his powers and can no longer fight evenly and Ragna was erased from existence in the end.
Not everything needs to have an epic final battle. Sure it would have been really cool but the way it went made sense with everyone being weakened. In a sense we got one with Terumi but that wasn't exactly a sibling fight
Jin was always the weaker brother lagging behind Ragna. It only makes sense the ending would return to that after Jin finally accepts his feelings and stops being a hardass towards Ragna.

It's kinda bs how Kazuya makes the exact same mistake as Heihachi that allows the other to come back to screw with them over again TWICE
I mean, these fights had to be really contrived to just seem plausible. Akuma is an assassin who fights; the fact he even fights in Street Fighter is generally not canon; Akuma only fights people he deems worthy. But thankfully that explains why he didn't show up until now. Tekken severely nerfed 'canon' Akuma, but it was for the benefit of both him and Tekken; neither looked weak.
Canon Akuma is basically Saitama from One Punch Man; Devil Kazuya wouldn't stand a chance.
He splits islands with his fist and his only ever draw was essentially the inventor of kung fu.
Capcom used Akuma to fight an original character who was a god of wrath/fighting - and it ended in a draw. Last bit isn't canon, but it goes to show how absurdly powerful Capcom considers Akuma - he's genuinely a Dragon Ball Z fighter in a 'normal' world.

@@doom-bgmi8051 Regular 'nerfed' Akuma in lore, but in-game he *acts* more like Shin Akuma in the end, primarily to serve as a boss character.
However, he doesn't show any of the traditional signs of ascension, so it is definitely for mechanical reasons - not lore reasons.
To further cement this point, the fights just prior to the Akuma fight all show *clear* signs of difference between the rounds: Heihachi is technically the same character, but in lore he's clearly showcasing power above normal in the final round. That goes in great contrast to Akuma - who doesn't change at all throughout the game. He merely starts trying to kill Kazuya here and now, not prior - which perfectly fits Akuma' character: He's doing the exact same thing to Ryu, waiting for him to become worthy of mortal kombat (yes, really)

Kazuya knows Akuma would easily slaughter and destroy the solders in quick time, hence why he told them they were no match for them, to allow him to come to the roof as he wanted to battle Akuma himself.
Kazuya knows Akuma is an opponent not to be taken lightly.

So Kazumi got close to Heihachi to kill him, but couldn't start her assassination until she was closer to his level of strength. Because he would not stop getting stronger, things dragged on for so long. In the end, she had to ask the man she actually cared about to kill him for her. And why keep the kid if she's gonna hook up with Akuma after this? He'll be a stronger dad for her demon spawn.
Akuma agrees and then says "When it's worth my time" because he's an asshole. So she's left to handle it herself afterall. She goes for it, and fails. And after dying there was no way she could change her request to Akuma to keep Kazuya alive. He was all that was left of her now, the only one that had been continuing her fight. Akuma killing him doesnt make sense anymore.
And so in the end, Akuma had his job done for him. I wonder if he realised Kazumi would have changed her mind about Kazuya now. Or, if Akuma is simply waiting for Kazuya to continue to reach new heights of strength. Heihachi had peaked, but Kazuya still has room to grow. Yeah, without a doubt Akuma is waiting again. He finally has an opponent who's willing to lose his humanity for the sake of battle. An equal? No. But a worthy opponent. One that might finally satisfy him. Demon vs Devil.
But man imagine if Akuma and Kazumi actually has a kid. That would be terrifying. Also would probably still result in Akuma tossing him off a cliff. He strikes me as the bad dad type. And not even because he was worried his son would be evil. But just because he's a dick. Catches his son playing King of Fighters up past his bed time, so he punches the console in half. All that kinda thing. That kid would grow up so angry.
I doubt Akuma would actually be the same as Heihachi. First and foremost, he does not seek world domination, which is why he doesn't hesitate in murdering Bison and Gill whenever he has the chance. Just as it is said at the end of Instant Carnage, he only seeks the blood of battle. Akuma is an anti-hero, unlike Heihachi who became a villain once things got for the worse, just like Kazuya at the end of Tekken 1 and before Tekken 2.
Akuma is an assassin by choice, he isn't evil and will never hurt those with a good heart, but only fight them and handicapping himself to avoid unnecessary murder. So, if he had a child with Kazumi it would end the same way as Kazuya, essentially. You can't change the Devil Gene, only subdue it, and even then it's not an easy task. Look at Jin, for example. He has half of Devil inside him and he can keep it under control only thanks to the blessing of the Kazama bloodline.
