Akuma being in Tekken 7 was enough of a reason to make me give the series a shot. I was already a big Street Fighter fan so I was able to jump into his gameplay no problem. Taking his model from Street Fighter IV as well as incorporating all of his moves from previous Street Fighter games Akuma works really well in Tekken’s style. And today I still have a lot of fun with him and it taught me a lot of how Tekken works. It’s almost like the Tekken X Street Fighter we never got. And even if we never do get that title we at least have an idea of what Tekken X Street Fighter if Capcom’s 2012 title was a success.
Akuma walked in on Heihachi’s quiet time and basically said “Nobody is fucking with me” 😂😂😂 And Akuma really fits almost perfectly in the Tekken story, obviously with a bit of retconning. But the fact that he waits until there are people strong enough to challenge him makes it make sense that he’s just now shown up. With Heihachi, Jin and Kazuya basically running amuck.
Heihachi and Akuma are built different. Kazumi, Kazuya, and Jin all have the Devil Gene yet Heihachi is able to keep up with most of them and Akuma is essentially a near-Goku with his level of training and his ki attacks. These two are prime examples of what being a badass karate master can achieve in their worlds.
Speaking of which, I gotta give Heihachi props for surviving Akuma’s Raging Demon, one of the deadliest super moves in fighting game history. In Street Fighter lore, this move specifically attacks the very soul, leaving you an empty husk. To this day only two people have survived the Raging Demon: Akuma’s brother Gouken and the big bad of Shadaloo himself M. Bison. Now given that Heihachi is one of the toughest bastards in all of Tekken I can buy Heihachi surviving the Raging Demon.

By doing so, you attack out of instinct, without allowing any thinking to slow your movements. Hence why Akuma says "Isshun Sengeki" which means "a thousand strikes in an instant". That's what makes it impossible to block unless you "empty your soul" which is to enter a zen state. This zen state allows you to block each strike with essentially Ultra Instinct.

I don't think that will happen, since now akuma is much stronger than before, and the oni form would be too strong for such a game, it would cause a mess

We never found out the outcome of that Battle, although we now Kazuya survived based on the the events of Tekken 8. But Akuma being defeated is unthinkable

Long story short, in 2010 Capcom and Bandai Namco struck a deal to produce games their own crossover games with Street Fighter and Tekken. Street Fighter x Tekken got made but Tekken x Street Fighter did not. Reason being is that X Tekken did pretty bad and was marred with a ton of problems both before the game came out and after the game out. People were pretty pissed and Bandai Namco was put in a pretty bad light as a result to where Tekken x Street Fighter got put on hold and eventually got silently cancelled which if you ask the developers at Bandai Namco they’ll just say it’s on permanent hiatus. However a lot of the animations you see with Akuma in Tekken 7 were animations they already planned and worked on for the project so they just put them in Tekken 7 along with Akuma.

Long story short, in 2010 Capcom and Bandai Namco struck a deal to produce games their own crossover games with Street Fighter and Tekken. Street Fighter x Tekken got made but Tekken x Street Fighter did not. Reason being is that X Tekken did pretty bad and was marred with a ton of problems both before the game came out and after the game out. People were pretty pissed and Bandai Namco was put in a pretty bad light as a result to where Tekken x Street Fighter got put on hold and eventually got silently cancelled which if you ask the developers at Bandai Namco they’ll just say it’s on permanent hiatus. However a lot of the animations you see with Akuma in Tekken 7 were animations they already planned and worked on for the project so they just put them in Tekken 7 along with Akuma.
Kazumi must have had that fire P(_)/$_$_i if Akuma a literal Demon/God/Superhuman is taking orders from her.
