I discovered your channel last night. And, wow, it's beautiful. Your tone of voice, your elegance and simplicity, your style and way of seeing life. I believe there should be more channels like yours, away from the chaos we live in, especially in my country (Mexico). Your voice and aesthetics will undoubtedly be a great company in my life from now on. Thank you very much, Nicolas. I will soon make those cucumber sandwiches for tea. ❤ 🙏🏼

Nicolas, have you ever thought about turning the back hallway into an art gallery? You could just get a camera and shoot portions of classical buildings etc. in Edinburgh (perhaps in sepia?) and have them printed out. If it turned out to be really good you might even ofer a few for sale. Just a thought.

Wonderful broadcast! Just a word of advice regarding the TV in the bedroom....find yourself a flatscreen and have a custom frame built around it. You can then have a memory stick with your favorite works of art loaded onto and it will turn your television into any painting you like 😊 You have the convenience of having a television in the bedroom, but without the horrific aesthetic of a big black box mounted on your wall.

Living room looks good. To my eye, the painting over the fireplace, needs to go up a few inches...not too high, but so it is not resting on the mantle. Of course, if it is going over the bed, then is can stay where it is for now. You most certainly need something over the bed, so consider a new frame on your painting. I'd like to see some comfortable type of chair is your courtyard. If you want to sit outside and read, your current chairs look very spartan.

You are certainly not alone when it comes to budget. It has taken me years, I DO mean YEARS, to make my townhome feel like ‘me’, like home. Be patient with yourself. If you were able to run out and make instant changes that seem to appeal, a short while later you may not care for those things. I’m almost glad about budgetary restrictions I have faced because of forced me to think my decisions through. It also taught me to be patient.

I know change is good, but I love color and pattern. So I really miss that gorgeous large round table with books and a lovely large lamp, in the living room. Just changing the table skirt to jute would have fit in here so well. I think the dining room would look lovely with a pop of green. Even just an accent wall behind the buffet, would have such an impact. I love the little settee in the dining room. A touch of elegance. In the hallway I think if you painted that tiny corner cabinet and put a weathered terra cotta or stone pot with a faux cypress topiary on it, would have a nice feel. Oh my.... I was so happy when you got to the bedroom and the round table was there!!!!!!! Its so classy. I hope you never get rid of it. Yes to the painting over the bed! The room is calming and peaceful, just needs that pop. The stone walled courtyard garden is incredible, with the potted trees and patio. What an amazing space to relax and entertain. This is a perfect little house for you and Sophie.

isn't just what you do but what you don't do. Not just what you did but how you did it. Not just what you said but how you said it. Love is so simple yet the simple make it so hard. Love Is full of knowledge yet even the smart don't get it. Love doesn't cost a fortune yet fortunes are spent trying to gain it. Love does demand of you yet you are not willing to sacrifice for it. Those who only seek what love can give and do for them, do nothing for love and others and in such selfish pursuit, in turn rob themselves of love's best gift. Make this year the year you seek to sow love and not just reap it. Be love and not just think it. Do love and not just say it. Talk love and just don't fake it. Seek love and just don't chase it. Embrace it but don't enslave it, share it but don't dare boast in it. Enjoy it but don't abuse it. Free it and watch it come back. Invest in it and watch it pay back. Wash your life in it, light your darkness with it, eat your food with it conduct your business with it and above all else Serve God in it. For whatever love is and is not, it's all of, for and From Him. He is LOVE! "

For your hallway, would you consider a richly colored wallpaper (if you can do that in your flat) perhaps with a print containing a subtle (tasteful) hint of shimmer or gold? Hi Nicolas! Thanks for sharing your appartement again. I like the new look, it looks fresh and young and yet still classic and stylish. Idea for the corridor? I guess you are not allowed to take the carpet out right? Maybe change both of the lamps, the hanging one and standing one, to something more fresh. And paint the walls in a light, warm colour. Then it will look more modern. Thanks for asking. Bye from Holland, hug for Sophie and get well soon.

Your home is super lovely, very stylish and simple....very calm. The apartment is a great size, lovely large rooms and the garden is a bonus.

I LOVE how your style has morphed since I began watching your channel! The changes are lovely Nicholas. Your landlord would be so kind to allow you to change out the living room sconces and the ultra modern ceiling fixture at some point in the near future. The dining room feels elegant to me and very welcoming.

The green in the bedroom-lovely. I do love Lick paints, the little mouse shade is a fav. I think I have F&B overdone in my home. Time for a change, only so much Drop Cloth a person can actually live with.

I think the flat is lovely and working really well now. I love the paint colour in the bedroom and think that works really well with your furniture, including the circular table. I do think it would benefit from having that picture (in a new frame) over the bed. I think the sitting room would benefit from losing the picture also as it feels discordant with the lighter, more neutral scheme there. Thank for sharing this Nicholas.

    All looks great!!
I prefer a more pair down simple interior. I think less pattern, floral and colour makes a home easier to live in.
When you're really young sometimes you think more is more but as you mature you begin to appreciate less.
Greetings from Southern Ontario Canada 😊

Hi Nicolas. I always enjoy your videos and appreciate your personality and your style. Regarding wall color of your corridor , it seems to me that dusty lavender would give some character. In any case, I'm sure whatever you decide to do will be great ❤

Have you tried mirrors for directing sunlight to other rooms? Experiment with it, you have many options. Very talented. I love the peel and stick tiles. Great idea!

Nice to see ! If you need thoughts with the hallway, remove the corner table and put the lamp on top of the trunks . Or remove trunks and just table.

In rhe U.S., we have laundry rooms for the most part. I gave never seen laundry appliances in a bathroom. I agree it is odd to have a washing machine in the kitchen, but very practical to use the same water pipes that are in the kitchen anyway. Your videos are beautiful and calming, and I appreciate them (and you) so much.

I love the bedroom paint color especially, but I desperately want some art on that wall over the bed... a painting, a large drawing, tapestry.. many things would work.. well done! :D

    Hi Nicholas,
Thanks for sharing your home! I cannot get over the enormity of your flat. I live in the US, and while I have traveled to Europe and the UK, it is amazing how spacious it is compared to apartments in America. What an amazing space!
I’d love to see more on your walls to warm it up along with some more plants since you do have a lot of natural light.
You and Sophie lead an idyllic life and I’m happy to have found your channel.
    Cheers to the next project!
    Connie

    Hi Nicky,
Regarding your rear hallway, I think you should cover the radiator with a white-painted cover, with perhaps a brass grille on the front, which would also provide a decent-sized shelf, on which you could put a plant that doesn't mind shade. A few gentle prints on the walls would also help. And I would definitely replace the light!

Nicolas, there are 200+ comments, suggestions and well wishes for you and not once do you find the time to respond to your "fans", subscribers. This has been a pattern with you, I rarely see an acknowledgement of any kind from you. A little gratitude goes a long way...
