I assumed you had a Fabspeed or Soul Exhaust too but it was too refined and sounded a bit quieter. PSE definitely sounds great! You basically have the same mods that I had in my 987.2 CS 6MT. I also had the Dundon Plenum. Interesting about the LTW flywheel. Would love to drive this thing!!! Regretfully sold it to chase a DeMan 4.5/4.7!
mexico is beautiful this time of year, even more beautiful with some 987.2 bgm
Sounds fantastic!
Front end looks so good without the numberplate. Great job sir. ❤
Agree, PSE is the business.
PSE with headers is the TRUTH
Such a beautiful car man, I just love the lines on those.
Man that thing looks so fun
It's a ton of fun. Only car that has kept me off my motorcycles...
Thanks for the helpful information !
No problem! Thank you for the patience! It took wayyyy longer than expected to try and work with some of these companies. And it should be noted that I only reached out to them to work together once I got like 1,000 questions. Some of them laughed in my face... others were willing to work together so everyone could win. It's been an experience.
International Man of Mystery, Das Cayman!!!!!!!!
Shaken! Not stirred!
what about the suspension? and what tires are you running?
Sold my 981 last year and now thinking 987.2 boxster s as the sweet spot for £££ per smiles
I'm looking for my first manual sports car. How do you think the 987.2 would be an excellent choice? You've made this car look timeless!
I couldn’t be happier with it. They are very cheap to maintain because nothing really goes wrong with them. I also do a lot of my own work. The DFI engines in these are stout and this transmission has been tried and tested for years.
What’s your rough budget?
@@DasCayman Excellent point. Reliability is my first priority. I currently own a R35 and it's been the most reliable car in my ownership history. 50 grand or less is my budget for a manual but I've noticed that your's can easily go for 80 or 90K stock and in good condition.
first oooh yeah
You said you changed the flywheel yourself. Do you know if a guy can get the transmission lowered to the ground (997.1) using Quickjacks? I'm not sure what the clearance is but I'm pretty sure the engine would never clear. Don't know about the trans. I have the Quickjacks, I guess I would need a hydraulic table??? Thanks, -Tom.
Boy do I have another video for you :) ruclips.net/video/tf6PGJtUkgM/видео.htmlsi=p07ewrxV7xmpcQHN
Your driving is better than your talking.
English second language, ESL
Have you installed the IPD plenum and 82 mm TB between those D runners ?
I have not, and I'll go over why in an upcoming video :)
How many miles on this unit? Thinking of getting one but can only afford the mid to higher miles 80-120k. Want to make sure its not likely to blow on change.
There's about 30k miles on this one. The 987.2 DFI engine is a lot more reliable than the 987.1. Would this be a weekend car for you?
@@DasCayman I work remote so it would be a daily/fun car.
What engine this specific car have ? Looks a lot of fun !
This has a 3.4L DFI engine flat 6. And thank you! It is a ton of fun!
I can't seem to find any 987.2 spider with that engine, only coupes
@@joaovilafranca4523 They are extremely hard to find. "2011-2012 Porsche Boxster Spyder"
@@DasCayman I only found one here in Europe ... 30k miles , 64k euros, but no bucket seats
@@joaovilafranca4523 yes super rare!
I've always read that the single mass flywheel is pretty hard to live with in daily driving. You think otherwise? Do you think a guy would see better mpg's with it? Thanks, -Tom.
Boy do I have a video for you :) ruclips.net/video/o4peLanjAvk/видео.html
In summary.. not an issue :)
But I'm also going over some more details in another video....
@@DasCayman Thanks for the link! So then, what is the downside? Do they have a much shorter lifespan, or what?
The downside is they make a bad manual driver worse. But a good manual driver even better. Porsche engines come balanced from the factory. All the Porsche race shops I asked your question to just said to not worry and enjoy. But there are a lot of rennlisters who will also say otherwise. I’ve been loving mine for about 7k miles now. Can’t imagine going back.
@@DasCayman Thank you!👍👍
Bro was parked infront of the Braithwaite manor 😂
As a manor of fact, yes
Does this car have auto blip?
No it does not
Does this flywheel fit with 981 cayman 2.7 ?
Let me circle back on this and check...
This is the one you'd want right here... www.vividracing.com/my-deal/53zmD9cM, can use code "53zmD9cM" for a lil' discount.
I have an install video if you need a reference too..
@@DasCayman thank you
Damn where in mexico are these backroads? empty, dead, twisty yeeeahaw
We are SO lucky. And everyone is so nice and loves it too... thumbs up from all the cyclists. I talk to them at our local coffee shop and say "hey sorry about the Porsche going by, I try to give you guys like 10' of room and pass slowly" every single one of them, to my surprise, has been like "hell naw brother! We LOVE it when you rip by! Thing sounds like a rally car! We get so excited!" Really cool community here in Mexico
