    Man this crazy coming back years later I don’t think people understand how cold Austin rivers was coming out of high school he was one of the best high school players ever💯 he was definitely one of my favorite players

    Anybody else admires the way he takes off when he jumps?

    • @ceeebiscuit
      @ceeebiscuit 10 лет назад +8

      the two feet lift off

    • @finallyfamousjames
      @finallyfamousjames 10 лет назад +1

      Christian Aranez two feet always looks better

    • @jaybriggs2430
      @jaybriggs2430 10 лет назад +2

      Yea 2 feet looks better but his take off just looks fancier, like a pretty boy jumper. Its like he jumps for a picture instead of jumping to just dunk

    • @DMVLeGenD96
      @DMVLeGenD96 10 лет назад +1

      Jay Briggs It may look better, but it's probably less effective because by jumping off two feet, it takes longer to gather and defenders can catch up to you at the rim.

    • @jaybriggs2430
      @jaybriggs2430 10 лет назад +1

      Yea you right, but when he jumps off 1 foot it's off his right foot. But he's just better off 2

  • @James9533
    @James9533 8 лет назад +49

    I respect this guy a whole hell of a lot. He doesn't drink, he doesn't smoke , he just focuses on greatness. That's admirable. Lot of you dudes here talking shit need to put that same work ethic into your shit.

    • @DoughJames
      @DoughJames 8 лет назад

      He doesn't focus on greatness. That's his problem. If he JUST focused on greatness, he'll be one of the best guards in the NBA. He's disappointing me.
      I said he was going to suck in the NBA, but I changed over the last couple of years. I think with the NBA rule changes he can be really good. And I want people to realize how awful of a coach Monty Williams was.

    • @luvbreeezy
      @luvbreeezy 7 лет назад +1

      DoughJames no it's not that easy to just be one of the BEST guards in the NBA. Everyone out there is prob focused on greatness lmao

    • @DoughJames
      @DoughJames 7 лет назад +1

      No, it's not easy to just be one of the BEST guards in the NBA, but it is doable for him. There are 217 guards in the NBA. Austin has the the potential to be in the top 15-20 guards.
      LMAO HELL NO! Every one is not focused on greatness LMAO What NBA are you watching? Do you think JR Smith is focused on greatness? Do you think Michael Beasley is focused on greatness? Do you think Jamal Crawford has ever focused on greatness? Seriously? lmao A lot of guys just like to play ball. Even more of the players just like the LIFESTYLE that the NBA affords. They focus or care about being great. A lot them just care about just keeping their jobs.

  • @theblackflashchronicles2
    @theblackflashchronicles2 9 лет назад +54

    I swear everybody making excuses fr. Austin being in the NBA isn't entirely because of his dad. The dude was well known in high school and had a pretty decent time as a college player and this year in the NBA he has shown he deserves to still be here yall gotta give players time to grow cause it's difficult playing in the NBA you not gonna be outstanding as a rookie you gonna have struggles the first year, but if you willing to put the work in you'll be on the road to success for sure. Look at Jimmy Butlers rookie year he wasn't all that either until now because he constantly put the work in. Most rookies in NBA never make a huge impact when they come to there new team. What I would really love to see is if one of those new rookies can bring a championship there first year

      Anthony Jimenez norris cole brought a championship his first year Kappa

    • @theblackflashchronicles2
      @theblackflashchronicles2 9 лет назад

      But he didn't do much in the regular season or playoffs his numbers even show that. James Linares and he got no bench time because either way every rookie in his class was better than him.

    • @jameslinares6760
      @jameslinares6760 9 лет назад

      I know I was kidding. He was a great team player and lock down defender in his rookie season and beyond though. A lot of what he did didn't show up on the box score, but yeah of course we didn't win a championship because of him.

    • @theblackflashchronicles2

      Jon Callaway what you mean get that 0 back? He's always been a zero. He was nice in hs, so are tons of players who didn't make the league. He was below average at Duke. And now he's an overrated bench player who runs his damn mouth to much.

    I think Austin's weaknesses are his consistency and IQ, I just saw a game with him starting over CP3 bc he's is injured for the playoffs. I have to admit, the man did not play bad at all, he limited Dame to 22 points and most of them came from the fourth. It was like when I saw that game it made me realized that this dude may be better than people think. TBH if he was a free agent I would pick him up for like 5 or 6 mil a year as a rotational PG.
