Man this crazy coming back years later I don’t think people understand how cold Austin rivers was coming out of high school he was one of the best high school players ever💯 he was definitely one of my favorite players
Jay Briggs It may look better, but it's probably less effective because by jumping off two feet, it takes longer to gather and defenders can catch up to you at the rim.
I respect this guy a whole hell of a lot. He doesn't drink, he doesn't smoke , he just focuses on greatness. That's admirable. Lot of you dudes here talking shit need to put that same work ethic into your shit.
He doesn't focus on greatness. That's his problem. If he JUST focused on greatness, he'll be one of the best guards in the NBA. He's disappointing me. I said he was going to suck in the NBA, but I changed over the last couple of years. I think with the NBA rule changes he can be really good. And I want people to realize how awful of a coach Monty Williams was.
No, it's not easy to just be one of the BEST guards in the NBA, but it is doable for him. There are 217 guards in the NBA. Austin has the the potential to be in the top 15-20 guards. LMAO HELL NO! Every one is not focused on greatness LMAO What NBA are you watching? Do you think JR Smith is focused on greatness? Do you think Michael Beasley is focused on greatness? Do you think Jamal Crawford has ever focused on greatness? Seriously? lmao A lot of guys just like to play ball. Even more of the players just like the LIFESTYLE that the NBA affords. They focus or care about being great. A lot them just care about just keeping their jobs.
1st basketball documentary ive seen that isnt trying too hard to be something irs not. Props to this video its great and its awesome how austin is not trying to be deep, he keeps it real
That really inspired the hell out of me!!!!! With God my side and a work ethic like his I definitely believe I can be as good as I ever thought I good be for sure!! God bless this dude and I hope he keeps on grinding getting ready for another tough but very successful season next year!! Good shit Austin.
I swear everybody making excuses fr. Austin being in the NBA isn't entirely because of his dad. The dude was well known in high school and had a pretty decent time as a college player and this year in the NBA he has shown he deserves to still be here yall gotta give players time to grow cause it's difficult playing in the NBA you not gonna be outstanding as a rookie you gonna have struggles the first year, but if you willing to put the work in you'll be on the road to success for sure. Look at Jimmy Butlers rookie year he wasn't all that either until now because he constantly put the work in. Most rookies in NBA never make a huge impact when they come to there new team. What I would really love to see is if one of those new rookies can bring a championship there first year
But he didn't do much in the regular season or playoffs his numbers even show that. James Linares and he got no bench time because either way every rookie in his class was better than him.
I know I was kidding. He was a great team player and lock down defender in his rookie season and beyond though. A lot of what he did didn't show up on the box score, but yeah of course we didn't win a championship because of him.
I gained a lot of respect for him just now when he spoke in a public forum about his weaknesses (right hand finisher). Most players are too proud to admit that kind of thing. Work on it Austin ... I hope you do very well in upcoming NBA seasons.
seems like he's grown a lot. i remember watching some of his high school clips until college - seems like a totally different person. looking forward to see how he does this season.
Loved this boy at Duke.. Can't wait to see what he gives my Clippers! He finally has the chance to prove himself with good talent surrounding him. Right situation.. Got a great leader/role model in CP & Jamal & oh yeah his Pops coaching him. Let's get it Austin. Sky's the limit
Let's go bro!!! Behind you man, looking forward to a great year with the Pelicans! Hopefully you can facilitate a lot more and get them buckets, gunna be hard behind Jrue but keep working and you got it homie!
Jon Callaway what you mean get that 0 back? He's always been a zero. He was nice in hs, so are tons of players who didn't make the league. He was below average at Duke. And now he's an overrated bench player who runs his damn mouth to much.
I've been rooting for this guy since day 1 of his NBA career, but this year is crucial for him. If he can't start playing with the ability or confidence he had at Duke or even in high school, he could be out of a job in the near future.
How can you dislike the kid? I'm a diehard Kentucky Hoops fans (so naturally I hate Dukies), but he's humble and strives to be better plus he's Doc's son
I think Austin's weaknesses are his consistency and IQ, I just saw a game with him starting over CP3 bc he's is injured for the playoffs. I have to admit, the man did not play bad at all, he limited Dame to 22 points and most of them came from the fourth. It was like when I saw that game it made me realized that this dude may be better than people think. TBH if he was a free agent I would pick him up for like 5 or 6 mil a year as a rotational PG.
You know whats crazy about hearing him talk about work ethic and hard work? even though he sacrificed alot to get where he is, he still isnt nowhere near even top 30 PG's in the league. just goes to show how fucking difficult getting and maintaining a spot in the NBA is. The level of competition has no ceiling.
Where in Orlando do these guys play? I would really want to get involved. I haven't hooped in a couple months. I really wanna get back at it. Still adjusting to my work schedule
People in these comments so trash, some of y'all come on a man's workout video to hate on his craft. Regardless what you say he's putting in work on these courts y'all put in work on comments sections 😪
He's gotten humbled! After 3 years and some disappointment I think he's starting to see the light. Played well at the end of last season. Starting to get a NBA Body and looks quicker. I know workouts dont tell the whole story but you can tell he knows wassap now.
Man this crazy coming back years later I don’t think people understand how cold Austin rivers was coming out of high school he was one of the best high school players ever💯 he was definitely one of my favorite players
Anybody else admires the way he takes off when he jumps?
the two feet lift off
Christian Aranez two feet always looks better
Yea 2 feet looks better but his take off just looks fancier, like a pretty boy jumper. Its like he jumps for a picture instead of jumping to just dunk
Jay Briggs It may look better, but it's probably less effective because by jumping off two feet, it takes longer to gather and defenders can catch up to you at the rim.
Yea you right, but when he jumps off 1 foot it's off his right foot. But he's just better off 2
I respect this guy a whole hell of a lot.
DoughJames no it's not that easy to just be one of the BEST guards in the NBA. Everyone out there is prob focused on greatness lmao

"to be great you have to be different" very true
+TheCrazedLorry98 Absolutely
That really inspired the hell out of me!!!!! With God my side and a work ethic like his I definitely believe I can be as good as I ever thought I good be for sure!! God bless this dude and I hope he keeps on grinding getting ready for another tough but very successful season next year!! Good shit Austin.
Honestly, Austin Rivers is my favorite player.. you're great man
I swear everybody making excuses fr. Austin being in the NBA isn't entirely because of his dad. Preach
Anthony Jimenez norris cole brought a championship his first year Kappa
But he didn't do much in the regular season or playoffs his numbers even show that. James Linares and he got no bench time because either way every rookie in his class was better than him.

Oh lol my bad bro James Linares
I really appreciate this! As a player it's important to see what other people do.
Love how he has become so wise and humble. Good listening to this dude
Austin Rivers is one of my favorite players...keep workin he's only goin to get better...I got faith in bro
I want to see him do really well he's been humbled since he came into the league. You can tell by the tone of his voice
I love Austin Rivers. The kid has been solid, and is going to be something great!
Glad to see his release has gotten quicker, and he's workin hard to not be a "bust" i cant do anything but respect it! Hope he shows out next year.
I know you all saw Austin RIvers goin hard af against the Blazers with his eye fucked up. This dude got heart, and he's gonna step up big soon.
He needs to 100% focus on basketball!!! He doesn't do that. If he did, he'll be a top 7 point guard.
I gained a lot of respect for him just now when he spoke in a public forum about his weaknesses (right hand finisher). Most players are too proud to admit that kind of thing. Work on it Austin ... I hope you do very well in upcoming NBA seasons.
Been an austin rivers fan since his high school days and he still beastin and feastin.
this is dope.
I love Austin! Good luck this year!
Great video! Love Austin's mentality and work ethic
Absolutely awesome content for developing players.
leave the man alone , he shot looks good to me & even if it doesn't, he still knocks them down , like all these hate comments are really stupid.

I love this dude! He know what he wants and he will get it
This coach is on every video
I'm liking the videos you have been releasing like this lately keep em coming
seems like he's grown a lot. i remember watching some of his high school clips until college - seems like a totally different person. looking forward to see how he does this season.
I wish this kid all the best, what a refreshing look at his summer workout. If he stays healthy, he'll have a good year. 12ppg, 6 assist, 3 rebs
Thank you for this sooo much! AJR my Fav player man, this is great.
Sick the pelicans r gunna be good this year if he keeps proving. Been hoping he was gunna get better.
Ayee he puttin on for Rollins College. I always see him and the trainer in their puttin in work when I go.
Let's go bro!!! Behind you man, looking forward to a great year with the Pelicans! Hopefully you can facilitate a lot more and get them buckets, gunna be hard behind Jrue but keep working and you got it homie!
Great head on his shoulders! Not arrogant and has a good work ethic, hope to see him evolve into a great player.
I always liked AR even when he was in HS but I truly see that he's gonna be a good player this year.
THIS BOY IS BALLIN RIGHT NOW!
5 years later, Austin really is more than just your “average NBA player”. He’s killing it in the playoffs right now. So proud of this guy
Awesome stuff HTH. Such an underrated channel. AR hope you keep puttin out videos this off season
Hes a down to earth guy. Solid dude i hope he succeeds.
Nice! With God you can do it..Good documentary!
I felt he left college to early he should've stayed and progressed. But I been loved austin rivers game. Need to get that 0 back tho
I feel you but he needs to develop more. His body doesn't look like it has matured a whole lot yet
I 100% agree with you
Yeah agree he left too early but I think his competitive nature wouldn't let him stay in college. . This guy is always striving to be the best. .
When you have the chance to be a lottery pick, you have to take it no matter what.
Jon Callaway what you mean get that 0 back? He's always been a zero. He was nice in hs, so are tons of players who didn't make the league. He was below average at Duke. And now he's an overrated bench player who runs his damn mouth to much.
Outstanding video! Really motivational!
Mfs critizing him but Mfs barely even play ball. They just critics
Austin Rivers holds the title for best hoopsmixtapes.
I've been rooting for this guy since day 1 of his NBA career, but this year is crucial for him. If he can't start playing with the ability or confidence he had at Duke or even in high school, he could be out of a job in the near future.
I respect Austin Rivers more now after seeing this and his work ethic
Very well spoken, i learned a lot!
gunna do big things this year
his goal should be to get eric gordon traded this year
***** nobody wants him at max contract. he is virtually untradable.
How can you dislike the kid? I'm a diehard Kentucky Hoops fans (so naturally I hate Dukies), but he's humble and strives to be better plus he's Doc's son
His form is beautiful
awesome. I wish him the best
He did pretty well in the playoffs this year. I think he's only about to get better
are they gone continue the series??? i want more
Rivers is working, just watch em eat!!!
A misson to sit on this bench
Just because you're coming off the bench doesn't mean you're not good look at James Harden in his okc days
Man you didn't even have to say james harden. Look at Manu Ginobuli, jr smith, jamal crawford. They all come off the bench and are all good.
Catch me One on One the Bitch ass Nigga im in the A
Fred Raynes shoookk oneesss
how tall are you? im 6'3 185

He has so many haters but I really fw Austin Rivers, I really admire him after what he says in this video
Way to geaux Austin can't wait to see now you do for the Pelicans this year
"I don't go out to parties...... that much" LOL
Great video...hope he has a good breakout year.
I honestly just gained respect for him and he is having big games in the playoffs.
