Should I still apply even if I have no audience performing experience?
If you ever decide to start regularly applying for faculty positions in academic theatre departments, you'll need to make these videos a part of your application materials. You're so clear, specific, precise....and at the same time positive, supportive, and full of good humor. Full of excellent and knowledgeable advice!

I LOVE this! My kid recorded a friend’s submission last year with the schools professional equipment. Unfortunately the actor didn’t turn on their mic and initially we couldn’t hear anything. Kid was able to bring up the sound from other tracks from the camera mic in post but it was a scary half hour! Always review your work

Hello! This video is very helpful!!! I have a question. If its a theatre audition, why are they asking for the framing to be so close-up? Does this mean we should play our monologues subtler?
