Fender MIJ Thinline Telecaster TN85-SPL - Quilter Overdrive 202

A rare and unusual Fender Japan 3 pickup Telecaster. A pair of Texas Specials and a Seymour Duncan P90. The TN-85SPL & TN-90SPL were made in limited numbers and were exclusive to Japan.
Most 3 pickup Tele’s lose the standard neck pickup but this keeps it… just shuffled down a bit to make room for the neck P90. The result was a surprise… even though the standard much pickup is not in the middle, it doesn’t seem to make any difference to the sound.

I own one and bought it used. Never modded. Mine is as follows: 5: bridge, 4, lipstick and bridge, 3 bridge and neck, 2 lipstick, 1 neck. I believe yours may be the same layout.

that is primo versatile for the telecaster style set-up. With the p-90 you get a of extra tonal 👍character
