- It's Comments Day: My Favourite! This week, I'm responding to some of the questions left beneath my RUclips offerings. A few have asked whether I listen in full to the music I review and there's an accusation of pause addiction. My review of Extreme's "Beautiful Girls" is also explained.....

Anyone who doesn’t like it can check out the song that’s linked first to watch the entire song. Then come back and listen to Justin talk about it. He explained himself so many times here, and some comments still don’t get it.
Please tell me "Sloppy Waffling" is going to be a new Darkness single one day.
I love this channel so much! I kept waiting for Justin to eat one of his cauliflower bites and started to feel anxious that they'd be soggy by the time he was done.
No!! Don't listen to them! We love when you pause and break it down. Gives us a feel for how Musicians hear music!

How dare you stop and react when doing reaction videos? I mean... honestly Justin, get it together man!
There is a balance to be achieved, Justin is being over cautious to the point where it is almost pointless even playing the video.
He achieved the balance. I never thought I didn't have enough of the song for his comments not to make sense, especially since I'm watching this channel to see him more than anything. If it had left me wanting to hear more of the song to get more of a context, the video he's watching is there. Plus this gives money to the artist too. Not that I'd do that with one of his other videos like maroon 5...@@preachercaine

I've loved Extreme since 1991, and Beautiful Girls is not their finest piece of work...and that's OK. Please keep speaking your truth, it's refreshing as always 😊
Agree, great album but still probably lot of people could like this song if it was maroon 5 or something. Still this is one of the reasons i always liked extreme,not afraid to do different kinds of songs even though like most their heavier songs

It really doesn’t sound that well produced. Just because it’s Extreme, doesn’t mean it’s not as bad or worse than a Maroons 5 song.
Extreme have had bad songs since the first album. I remember buying it as a kid, and I liked what I liked, a lot, but it wasn’t a lot of the album.
Same for their big one, the second album.
They hit worse after that, until I didn’t really care about them.
I did checkout Nuno solos, and would listen to other projects. Most of his other stuff, isn’t very good.
Their first new song, was not great, but people were entranced by his solo, and how he didn’t use delay, amongst the guitarist community.
I don’t really know anyone who knew about it, other than the longtime fans.
This new song, might be the worst thing they’ve done, out of everything I still remember of their music. One’s brain can’t hold everything, and the song isn’t worth ever hearing again.
I paused the video myself a couple of times, just to stay in the swing of things.

I don't think people realize that part of not stealing someone's stuff is the pausing. It has to not be a replacement for the original content. If you don't want pauses... Just go watch the original piece and let them have the money.

I have an idea. You should do some reactions to a few 'The Darkness' songs. It's a win win situation. You can keep the moaners happy by not pausing every few seconds, and you will still get the monies when RUclips flags it up for copyright...
Would sort of be quite satisfying for you when RUclips demonitises your video and then pays you anyway!
What percentage do they get from their own songs though? Usually record contracts have most of the money going to the label. Supposing they did own the rights that's still Justin doing the work and his bandmates getting paid, seems a bit unfair.
@@nonyobisniss7928you are probably 100% correct. But still, it would be a bit of an own goal for RUclips. Even though this metaphorical own goal wouldn't be financially beneficial... It would definitely feel good to me... Just my opinion anyway!
Believe it or not his own record company may copyright strike him for doing it this way. Plus I'm not sure I see the point of him not pausing even when he has the total rights, I'd want to hear even more of him with a Darkness song because of the knowledge he'd have. It'd just mean more of the song in between.
Love your pausing and giving us your opinion it’s why those of us with common sense and understand how RUclips works watch. Some losers just play other people’s clips and sit there watching making money off others work. Keep up the great work.

I've seen so many reactions where people play the whole song, barely reacts at all, throughout, I mean hardly moving a single muscle in their faces, and then just barely says a full sentence when the song has ended, and... that was it. People don't realize how much we are actually getting here, for free, when it comes to knowledge, wit, humor, anecdotes and occasional delicious absurdity in your waffling around these music snippets.
There are all sorts of reaction channels, from stone faced to charismatic, something for everyone, people who don't like the way you do it, are just in the wrong channel.

Easy enough to watch the video you're reacting to separately. Occasionally I do, but I tune in to see your funny reactions and also your quick breakdown of the tune with your guitar. Very good ear! Anyway, that's what this is about, and it's immensely entertaining. Please keep up the good work.

Of course we all experience music in different manners, but I watch this channel because I find your reactions interesting because they are from someone in the music industry and someone that writes, and plays music, specifically. When I want to enjoy music I listen to it on my own and not through a reaction video! If anything, it is usually the music itself that I find abhorrent and intolerable, I'm only here for the Justin.

Find it weird that there are people who have to listen to a whole song to know if they’ll like it, I’m a 5 second kinda guy ( when talking about records that is), I usually know if I like a song within 5 seconds, if unsure I’ll listen a little more but that rarely happens.

Don't worry about the pauses. It gives you a chance to explain to us what you are realizing in real time. Also, as someone who loses all revenue to the copyright holder because I make karaoke from it, I get that you are working within the limits of RUclips. Also, you add such flavor and character to your presentations...as well as useful technical knowledge. Keep it up!
