I'm tired, but it's good... Slowly pans away! Haha. I like how you have the jack lines setup. You can never have too much garlic! I've never seen another sailing channel do a live map before. That is really cool! Rail meat is great advice. I will remember that when I go sailing.
Seeing those cans of spices made me want to give a shoutout to Publix!! After the storms that have come through Florida in recent years Publix grocery stores have really been clutch providing food and water to affected communities. By the way, nice barracuda!!
NICE sail. Absolutely great to see Olivia making more of a contribution to the video this time. Once she gains confidence and speaks more I really think she will be able to grow your channel a lot.
I Ioved your mountain videos, but it's also great to see you back on the water sailing!! Can't wait to see your videos on the Berry Islands, I e heard it's great there 🏝️
Yep, it was a dozen. We've widdled it down to 6, but we only loaded 2 on this trip. We're trying to the get the minimal viable amount. This trip was a miscalculation of consumption.
Hello Fosters. The fish you caught was a barracuda or called a cuda for short. Depending what part of the world you are in, many locals will eat them and appreciate it as a gift. As far as I know most Americans, Brits, and Aussies don't eat them. But that may be because of the fear of ciguatera food poisoning associated with the larger cudas.
@@TheFosterJourney In my humble opinion nearly everything is edible if prepared correctly..... Well except black eyed peas, nothing good about those nasty things. lol
@@TheFosterJourney That's hilarious. Well if you will eat black eyed peas you shouldn't hesitate about eating ANYTHING. Let us know how the cuda taste.
Did changing the impeller fix the temp? I have a Beneteau 373 with the same engine. Wondering what RPM you cruse. My engine has a red line of 3000 max continuous rpm is 2907 I usually cruise at 2500 and 6.8kts in calm seas. I plan 1.2 GPH?
I keep like 5 , 5gallon diesel cans on the deck. My tank holds 17 on my little Catalina. I suppose if I keep the RPM's too low I can get 16ish nautical miles to the gallon. Soooo if tides and winds agree that might get me 672 miles of motoring. Different subject though, I understand about the drone loss thing. If you don't get one of those Orange/Red Splash drones or stock up on $69.99 Amazon drones it can get expensive, especially if you lose DJI drones.....which apparently everyone I know that flies them over water or land has....
*Speak of the devil. Our Mavic Mini just had a brain of its own yesterday. No wind. 15 seconds after takeoff...it took it. 50 yards away and straight into the water!! LOL I think the cheap drones might be the way to go.
that is a barracuda
What a fun passage. It looks like the family slipped into ocean life quite comfortably
Yes, after day 2, it's just easy and normal

True about that garlic!!
Great to see y’all back on the water!
Yes!! Glad to be back out here ⛵🙌
Good call on throwing that barracuda back! They'll give you worms
Yep, we've heard they do and they don't 🤷
I love the way you have your jack lines tied.
Thanks! It's new for us, and we love it too
It's a good contrast to some of the stronger winds that your family sails in. The light air may be slow, but it looks smooth and easy. Great video!!
Yes, we much enjoyed the lighter air, and it taught us a lot about patience when sailing.

Love the cooking with Nancy and Olivia segment! Very creative editing! 😄
Thanks!! It was so yum 😋
Great video,!
🙌🙌 Thanks!
Again, you're one of my top sailing channels.
Awe, that's awesome!!
YO! That was a awesome sailing video!

THANKS! We lost subscribers from those mountain videos, but we loved sharing those travels with you!
Great video! Great Passage.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I think I saw four jugs of diesel on Deck. When you did your Gulf Crossing I thought there were a dozen. What's the right number? Fred

Beautiful passage too bad you ran out of fuel.
Thanks! It's all good 👍
That's how you do it with a sailboat
One slow tack at a time ⛵⛵
Them girls can really draw!! ❤
Question: Do y’all get seasick still or is that something that you overcome with time and never get again?
It's pretty rare these days. 🙌🎉
Good work tacking down the Florida coast. I guess you can't go too far east cause the stream?
Yep, once you leave the Florida coast by a few nautical miles you start fighting the northward current of the Stream.
You should load the deck with jerry cans next time.
Maybe, but we've evolved into just go with the wind mentality

The more we read about barracuda, the more we're willing to try one. 🤞

We cruise around 2400-2500 and plan 4.5kts, .75gph. 8 hours for 5 gallons.

I'm so done with all the bikini channels (i.e. Doodles) I much prefer you Sam Holmes, Patrick Laine, and Atticus. Good work!
Oh yeah!! 👍🍻
