Bought one this afternoon, carried it all day at work. Feels heavy in hand but in the pocket you don't even notice it. The clip is pretty tight so I tend to use both hands to place it in my pocket.
I’ve had my brown one for 4 years with daily use, never had an issue aside from it recently having trouble opening, just had to grease the lock a little bit and feels like new. Holds its edge quite well after regular daily use. Edit: the spring assist has held up great and still opens quickly. There’s very little play on the blade where it meets the handle, 4 years later.
I love the one I got. Instantly noticed my logo on the blade is different, and my "gerber" logo on the belt clip is a different font. I have an older model, maybe 2014 or so?
The 06 was not meant to be a civilian EDC knife, it rides high because it was designed to be easily accessible for soldiers in their pockets without a whole lot of hassle. They just made civilian models like the FAST because some people wanted to do what the military did. This is not an EDC at all. And the FAST is Chinese unlike the Auto which is American made and a different steel and also comes extremely sharp.
not deep enough. big knife is too heavy.... who is carrying these knives i carry 23(no joke) knives on me at one time... how can one knife be too much lol(or too little?!?)
I want one of them American made Gerber Knives of that model ,the come in Manual & Automatic and many US military soldiers are issued the American made version, but they are purchasable by non military folks and it made 5x better if not 10 , The Manual & Automatic both 🎯

Also a screw is moved over a lil. So weird seeing the newer models.
Hands down, my favorite personal carry. Clean, sharp, reliable.
@@logannsif Hey, is it still working? How has it held up?

That would be good with a deep carry pocket clip ,I agree.
I found this in a pawn shop for 13 dollars. For the price I got it for I think it is a steal.
Like the upper and lower guards on g10 handle. I agree pocket clip could have been made to carry deeper.

That's the Chinese made model, the USA made one is a lot more heavy duty made in every way ,but I have one like you got in Desert Tan G-10.
Walmart has them ,that's where I got the one I own.
@@powerplay4real174 so could you tell me where I can get the US made one?
