Big Joe Turner had a whole career in Blues before "rolling" over to became an early star of Rock. He's now in the Rock Hall of Fame as an early influence. He's also a favorite of mine. There are nice collections of his early music out there. Listen and you will fully understand.🎶🎼
Alan Freed was hassled about this as he played great "black music" to the white yutes of America. Looks like a couple of detectives in the background ready to close the place down. What movie did this come from? I know its a mid 1955 record (and great too)
This fragment comes from the movie “Shake, rattle and rock”, released in 1956. In this interesting movie, Big Joe also sings “Feelin’ Happy”, which you can watch on RUclips as well. ruclips.net/video/ss2L23CHJ0E/видео.html
