What am I doing with my life... I just watched a tutorial on 'how to wash your hands'. :|
It was the best damn tutorial on the subject i have everseen, and rather in depth. Love the commitment.
hahahahaha so glad you enjoyed the video my man. thanks for watching!!!
How about surgeons hand washing tutorial s
Great Vid Guys. I was cringing not hearing the bit about washing ones hands before deck handling, which in my opinion is the Number 1 Deck Commandment, but rejoiced when I saw it at the end of the video.
I keep my collection, which I think just surpassed 450 decks, in one of my older clothing dressers that I converted into my deck storage vault. I have a product called DampRid I believe it’s called under the dresser which does a killer job of collecting any moisture/humidity that may be present.
Everyone has to remember that playing cards are made of paper and they will only last as long as you treat them as such. Making sure that your hands are clean, doing the opposite springs and shuffles, as you’ve pointed out in this video, and the biggest culprit, carrying your decks in your pocket when not in a plastic or metal protective device like a clip or card box. One thing I use if I’m only carrying one or two decks on my person is removing the decks from their tuck case and I put them in the plastic clamshell box that Hoyle and a couple other deck producers package their plastic playing cards in. This does two things, One: Keeps your cards protected from the heat and moisture you might have left the house with and Two: Keeps the Tuck Case immaculate because you’ve left it behind at home. I know that these can be found on Amazon. There are also other plastic deck boxes, that fit the whole deck and protect it surprisingly well. The best deal I’ve seen on these are on my number one deck purchasing site, PlayingCardDecks.com Will runs a great site with the best prices I’ve found on the net. He is always open to questions and gets right back to you with what you’re looking for. His shipping is immaculate and they package up the decks for delivery better than he has to, to assure they reach you in pristine condition. I’m actually going to message him now and see if I can get a discount code for anyone wishing to place an order. I really would suggest against buying decks off Amazon, as the prices are severely inflated for the most part, some times you can find a deal, but that’s the rare occurrence. You’re best bet is to shop around but I haven’t been happier shopping at Will’s site and for the $5.99 two day shipping it’s totally worth it.
Believe it or not, I picked up a cool little tactical bag which also doubles as an oversized fanny pack, though too big for that in my opinion, but I can carry over a brick of cards with me and some other things like Cottonelle Bathroom Wipes, perfect for keeping those hands clean if not near a restroom, and whatever other goodies I’m outside with. It’s got a bunch of zippered pockets and such so it’s got tons of uses. If I know I’m going somewhere requiring me to have several bricks of cards, I use the Rigid 22 inch Pro Organizer in Black, my preferred color. It’s like a Pelican Case for my decks which is waterproof and keeps all that nasty stuff out and the best thing is that they go for only $29 bucks opposed to the $100+ for the Pelican. There are 6 removable little trays or bins that hold like 5 decks each and a huge center area for more decks, card mats or anything else you need to have with you.
Sorry for such the long comment but I also enjoy relaying my experience to others so that they are not throwing their money out the window because of improper deck handling practices.
If anyone needs the link to the tactical bags I’ve purchased on Amazon let me know and I will look them up and drop the links here. With more and more people carrying around shoulder bags these days, the tactical types are very practical and an aesthetically acceptable man bag. Haha.
I myself will be starting my RUclips Deck Review and Cardist Channel within a couple weeks and hope that at least some of you will Subscribe so I can throw some of my knowledge & experience your way.
Hope everyone is having a great week and we’ll catch you on the flip side.

I live in a hot place but when i sleep i put my decks on the table and leave it overnight under my air-con (23 degree celcius) and in the morning my decks were fresh and a little harder than before. Thanks for the tutorial. Im a big fan
I would also say keep three to four decks by your side when you're practicing. If you use one for too long the deck will heat up.
How long should I use one for
i hv been waiting for this since last month..
GREAT VIDEO!!!
aye thanks so much man
I love you guys. Your tutorials are the ones of legend, in both instruction and production quality. Plus the humor is fairly fuckin dank. Would love to meet you guys in person and steal all of your playing cards. Come to the Magic Warehouse near Baltimore (MD)!!
dude thank you so much! we will definitely take you up on that some day!
very informative, but where exactly in the US do you live where cold water is on the left and hot on the right? or have you been doing that magic smoke trick with the water filled glass tube?
We were in philly when we filmed this video... didn’t know there was a difference

I’m so high rn ur hand washing instructions sounded like it’s a revelation from the gambling god
RUclips needs laugh options not just like. Great video guys!
thank you so much!
The wonderful acting 😂
Cool video guys and thx for the handy tips for the decks and how to wash ur hands 😂😂😂😂
Have you posted a video on how to wash a deck of cards properly? Many of my decks get dirty and I have often wondered what the proper way to clean them is. I realize cleaning plastic decks would be much easier to clean than paper/card stock decks, so any info you can provide will be helpful.
Use a ziplock bag to avoid humidity, whether it's hot or cold.
What’s a middle grounds deck you would recommend that isn’t buttcrack cheap or titanic expensive
nice thankyou
fan call cracked me up x)
I came here for long lasting cards and you teach me to wash my hands
having clean hands is key to long lasting cards

BIG FACTS
Hey guys! I have a somewhat moral question, about learning moves that were created by other cardists and are for sale. What if I found a way to do said move myself by just looking at a performance ( through trial and error), is that wrong???
Thanks for the tips bros:)
Hey so I wash my hands EVERY time before I use cards and at school people think I'm germophobic XD Anyway, a few minutes after I wash my hands and are doing cardistry, my hands get sweaty. This happens a lot of places and it's super annoying. How can I prevent sweaty hands?
What is the name of the song
I live in a warm weather 😐. my cards get unusable after using for 7- 8 months 😭😭 and now, as I have much time to practise, my cards are being used way more than the past, so I am worried about my cards :(
I got air bubbles in my bicycles when I put them in the fridge for 30 minutes...
are you serious? that's never once happened to us or anyone else who used this..?
I'm definitely going to try to put cards in refrigerator...😅
Put your cards in some rice or rise ? 2:46
...
Does it REALLY work to store them in a cool area???
That guy washing his hands must have obsessive compulsive disorder lol

I thought the hand washing tutorial was a joke until they actually went into it🤷🏼♂️😂
very important lesson!
my playing cards turn into yellowish, what causes the card turning
Dolan Trump they turn yellow from use of the cards and if you have oil or grease on your hands and you use your cards it will absorb the grease from your hands so remember to wash your hands😁
@@chandler_henry I have a beater deck that I carry around and it's pretty grungy, but I always wash my hands before touching one of my good decks. I think it's an old guitar player habit.
People probably think you’re joking about the washing your hands part, but it’s actually the most vital part of handling cards. When your hands are clean, the edges of your cards will stay white longer (esp if you smoke).
Reminder, that UV rays do deteriorate your cards by the window ledge, so you should ensure that you place them in a card protecting box, so the box itself gets the dose of UV.
I've never been turned on by seeing a dude wash his hands before... Still haven't. It was weird. Refrigerator tip was cool tho!
hahahahahahahahahahaha
"more cooler"
other than the horrendous grammar mistake, great vid!
Some great tips here guys! I'll try to make my cards last so they too can become DILFs!!

This was a really great and helpful video. You guys always do a great job and definitely help out a lot. Keep up the great work
I wasn't 100% sure if the hand washing scene was satirical or not, but it was honestly my favorite, and was actually realistically informative.
to be honest, I'm not sure if we knew if it was sarcastic or not hahahaha, just having fun, thanks so much man!
Lol guys...some funny stuff there. Can't wait to get a phone call after pulling off that move too
My favourite youtuber hates me for living in Australia 😢
Hahahaha no way man, you are the best person we know from Australia, thank you for watching from down under!!!
Same for us in los Angeles
Hi, I’m a tarot reader and our decks are huge and hard to handle. I’ve been searching on how to care for and shuffle my deck. This was very helpful. 👏🏻
I know this video is more of a joke but I enjoy seeing high quality tutorials and whatnot. Just my opinion so you know what a viewer looks for.
those will never stop!
Maybe you'll know why this happens. I keep decks around to practice playing Blackjack. I've noticed that after being used a lot, no matter how many times you shuffle or mix the cards, the hands you get start to repeat. Sometimes in reverse. Like a dealer push will happen with the same double down hand etc. The cards stay in the same order almost. Like you didn't shuffle at all. And if the player hand happens to keep losing, there's no way out of it. It's weird. I usually just buy new cards and it solves the problem, but what is the reason for this? I've heard that cards today are made differently and it has something to do with the plastic.
That is extremely bizarro & high strangeness bordering on the highly unusual......I can't say that I have come across this type of recognizable pattern of behavior which seems to have it's origin within a set of inanimate objects that contain no cognition or motivation for any behavior whatsoever, and thereby one would assume that what you're saying is an impossibility. Perhaps you have noticed the supposed pattern, when in reality, none is present? Have you asked a outside observer to watch you for a while without giving any indication of what you suspect? Perhaps taken a video of the pattern once you start to notice it?
Truth is; in the decades of my fascination & romance with cards & especially games of chance, I have bore witness to a number of things that I can only refer to as unexplainable. Particularly so-called beginner's luck, I have witnessed wide-eyed and jaw-dropped. I don't have any logical explanation for it, & in truth it doesn't seem to happen every time to every player that are inexperienced....but it happens almost every time, sometimes in the face of incredible odds. For example, I once saw a kid get dealt a natural Royal Flush whilst I was teaching him the game and in his first say dozen hands or so, whereas I have perhaps seen one or possibly 2 in a lifetime of games & literally hundreds of thousands perhaps even more hands than that😮. 🎉 Thems some mighty long odds, me thinks. It's gots ta be that long ago, ancient curse...mouthed by that of the ol leprechaun of Faeley's Hollow.
Why, a curse, of course, as it gives a man who takes a shine to games of chance every reason to return henceforth to place another bet, and another, and one more. Why, even the young bride, having seen the incredible fortune of what was at first just a bit of entertainment, may be hesitant to pull in the reigns the first few mentions of her betrothed being out a bit late with the fellas..Rollin the bones as it were.
@@jackiec498 I feel enlightened. Thank you.
9:02 you shouldn't waste water like this.. No hard feelings btw.. And thnx for the video 😊😊
YES!!! I came here to learn how to wash my hand. Thank you rise magic!
there we go!
My 4 (I think)year old deck that’s been kept in my drawer and haven the crap beaten outta it is laughing
4:15 lmfao Freakin hilarious. But what? 8:08 Why is your cold water on the left? Hot goes on the left!
Ok so I know I am 4 years late but how long do I keep them there? Like in hours?
What about the black color dirt that got stuck on air cushions finish cards.....?
I still have a bicycle deck that's about 5 years old and it's in a good condition.
I care a lot for my deck.(And it's hot in India half of the year...Like literally hot☀️☀️
dang man good for you
Awww s#@t now I know where I've been going wrong I was forgetting to wash my hands that's why my cards are all sticky and nasty 😂😂
Makes them easier to palm though
hahahaha glad we could help man
Can you do a tutorial of how to properly maintain a parking spot at LU?
What about storing cards in a box with silica gel bags for humid weathers?
The Indian in me just wanted to jump in and shut down the tap.. damn it you guys... That's a lot of water wasted washing hands..
that keep me outbreak covid-19
I wouldn't recommend storing your decks in window sills, and especially not against windows. 1) The UV will destroy the art on the box / deck edges if they get light. 2) If it's cold outside and warm inside you will get condensation (moisture) inside the window, and humidity near it.
If you're really concerned, store decks in a BCW box inside their packs. Put acid-free dividers (comic book boards would work great) between the packs. Put some desiccant packs in the box if you live in a really humid climate. If you are CRAZY concerned, get a humidor and some Boveda 2-way humidifier/dehumidifier packs. The ones for guitars would be good (45-55%).
Best advice I can give is make or buy a card press and press your cards or when not in use put em in the press to keep the moister out of the cards and keep them super flat and crushed close to factory again that k me later it you wanna buy one check eBay they are 9 bucks 20 on Amazon thank me later lmao
For 2020 viewers 8:03
They really predicted corona with washing your hands
😅😅😅
what if you have a big butt. lol
is it okay to put lotion on and play with your cards or will that ruin them ?
Raymond Fales probably shouldnt do that
Don't! Just keep your hands dry and clean.
this chanel might be the only youtube chanel about magic that makes a tutorial about how to wash hands properly.
btw nice video I leaned alot tips from it.
oh man if it weren't for you guys i'd spend the rest of my life washing my hands the wrong way. hahahahaha
as i said, lovin the new approach! keep it up!
thanks dude!!
nice you are the best
great video, and also great channel. =)
I learned so much new stuff!! Especially about washing hands! I was having trouble with it for a long time.
I wanna focus on the video but I can’t because there’s this Demi god on my screen blocking me from remembering this information. Stop being so hot
Its really amazing how long a deck lasts with years of use
I do all of this but my cards keep on getting covered in black spots and then get sticky and I have no clue why this happens , does anyone know why?
I'm from Phoenix. It's ridiculously hot and every deck of cards turns into a click deck if you're not careful
Can a click be fixed by just putting deck under a glass table and keep em there ...I mean between actual wooden table then a thick glass on top
Winters aren't all as dry as where you live guys. I did the mistake of leaving one of my deck near one of my window and damn, did it get humid.
Wait so if those cards are 10 at the time of recording now they would be 14, and I am 14. These cards are literally as old as me
Make a video of you cutting up loads of decks in half for Christmas
that would make people so mad at us
I found a deck in a basement and the blue ink on the kings queens and jacks got faded into a cool purple but the paper is kinda dirty. Stills a cool look
MORE COOLER, MICHAEL. REALLY??
Do your hip-flexor 😉
does storing the playing cards in high temperature will harm it?
like 30-40 C degrees!
What happened to me was that i used the cards too much and i couldnt get them out of the box anymore until i removed one or two cards then put the deck in.I have been doing that for so long now i let 8 cards out
I can add - don't ever try to clean USPCC cards with alcohol, it completely destroys the prints
I have a deck a cards that was made 1986
I’m proud that there in good condition 👍
damn,I hate it when people waste water like that
😂
they need to age, for next gen, to see how classic cards are made up!
I stole a deck of cards from my teaher because im poor and lost my other deck. It has like 8 6 of spades in it. Who did this
So if I put it in a bowl of ice and toss it in the fridge overnight maybe once or twice a month I should be good?
I hate my locatioon. I live in Croatia and my every deck sticks up :(, cant fan :(
I tried that freezer idea (only for a couple hours) and I took them out and now they are warping from water damage
Also don’t forget to wash your hands (coming from corona 2020😂)
I am starting to think that the floss behind the ear is going to be your personal meme
When you guys put you’re cards in the fridge do you leave you’re cards in the box or out of the box
Put dry soap on the edges and do alot of shuffles
Not too much soap or it would ruin the cards
