Not quite correct. From what I understand he isn't getting royalties from the original decks, but he was paid a salary to create the deck concept. He says he knew all of this at the time and that he was good with it. It wasn't just to get his name out there, it was a one time design gig, afterwards they owned all the rights. I'm not saying that what the company did was good or bad, just that he was actually paid for producing the original design.

My boss (a commander) is a card game fan, he made a few videos on card tricks on YT and showed them to me. I've always been attracted by magic but never tried to perform ... And seeing him doing tricks to keep hands occupied during work put me into it. So I started looking for videos about practice and beginning the thing. Had to go through a few youtubers that really didn't get my interest, but you ... Clearly I'm focused 100% of the time with you, I really like your way to show and make things clear to the public. I’ve learned over time that the only thing that matters is the experience you had when being creative or the culmination from being creative. When being creative that tends to also be the memories we retain and can remember and enjoy. Whatever you experienced during the creation is yours and no one else’s. You handled this professionally and with grace. Good on you.

If it is any consolation the original design is so artistic and pleasing to look at that it completely subverted my aprehension with skull based designs. As an aspiring artist this really does break my heart to see but the way that you are going about it is so mature so kudos to you sir. Murphys really approached this wrong. they should have reached out to Chris and if not ask him to be the spokesperson, at least inform him that they will be taking the design he made and editing it. if they were going to be copying his style of advert for the cards too they really should have asked him first if he would like to be the one in the advert again, it would not only be the right thing morally but for their company as all the people that saw the original would see that it is the same person, same card design and same advert.

I need a deck of cards now lol. Just finished watching your card collection video. I guess I need to drop by Walmart and snag some basic cards lol. I just found your channel last week. Learned my first magic trick from you and showed my kiddos that pennies can go through tables. They have been trying to figure it out every since! As a graphic designer I respect the process and have several stories like this. Spend 100 hours designing a product for it to get bastardized. I guess it happens, just sucks when it happens to something you are attached to. Just curious, why did they do blue? Why not gold or something?

When I looked for my first deck to buy, I immediately fell in love with the Memento Mori. Then I saw the blue one and also cliked on it just because (well sometimes you can't help it ;'D) blue is my favorite color :'D However, although I found the blue one not bad, I intuitively came back and chose the first one. Which I am really really happy about because later on I watched both another time and I thought that on the blue one, sooomething is missing that the other one has... Crazy Challengers all the best cheap ones are on RUclips. If you want to take your magic to the next level your going to have to put in a good amount of money. There are tons of coin magic videos that are free and get great reactions
I already have Expert Card Technique and read it fully but it focus quite a lot into the techinque behind the tricks rather than the tricks themselves,I do know that there are some selected tricks but in my opinion they are more tabletop and I perfeer going out and about doing tricks xD.Thanks anyways for the advice.
Josh Castillio most videos shown on youtube are kinda low to intermedian skill but I'm looking for something more powerful yet somewhat cheap.Not much into coin tricks but I'll check them out as I could always improve my palming skills.I do understand though that the best tricks are quite pricy but sometimes there are some powerful and cheap tricks.
I guess they changed he colors a bit more than you think, but in the end it doesn't change the fact that it was really rude to don't even let you know of that. I've watched that blue memento trailer and it seriously was just copy paste your trailer but worse.. Really sad thing if you think about it

Crazy Challengers all the best cheap ones are on RUclips. If you want to take your magic to the next level your going to have to put in a good amount of money. There are tons of coin magic videos that are free and get great reactions
Crazy Challengers buy a book and you'll get enough material for a lifetime.
I already have Expert Card Technique and read it fully but it focus quite a lot into the techinque behind the tricks rather than the tricks themselves,I do know that there are some selected tricks but in my opinion they are more tabletop and I perfeer going out and about doing tricks xD.Thanks anyways for the advice.
Josh Castillio most videos shown on youtube are kinda low to intermedian skill but I'm looking for something more powerful yet somewhat cheap.Not much into coin tricks but I'll check them out as I could always improve my palming skills.I do understand though that the best tricks are quite pricy but sometimes there are some powerful and cheap tricks.

I guess they changed he colors a bit more than you think, but in the end it doesn't change the fact that it was really rude to don't even let you know of that. I've watched that blue memento trailer and it seriously was just copy paste your trailer but worse.. Really sad thing if you think about it

You created those!!!! What? I have had these cards on my eye for a while. Absolutly love them Always loved that diamond like design. Not diamonds, but the clean sharp edges that are colorful.
