The clone deaths in season 3 were so damn brutal not just because of how they were executed but because it was clone brothers vs clone brothers. It was so dark.

Another haunting thing is none of the cx troopers screamed or yelled as they died mostly just grunting but no screaming really strange 🤔
There's a 5th CX trooper that appears in the training room scene, with similar teal lights on his helmet and a horizontal slit visor. He wields a small pistol against Echo and the escaped clone prisoners.
We also see him emerge from the tubes

Honestly seeing them all in action to me at least showed how killing off Hemlock was a significant blow to the Empire in the battles to come. The loss of Project Necromancer aside, imagine if more troopers like this had been active during the time of the Rebellion. Having small, elite groups of super assassins like this running around would have been an absolute nightmare for the Rebellion. But with Hemlock and his research gone, this asset is lost to the Empire preluding a conflict where they would've been a truly frightening weapon. So in a way the Bad Batch helped save the Rebellion before it even officially began. Which gives weight, at least in my opinion, that the actions of the Bad Batch did have significant consequences for the galaxy as a whole, which I really like
Kind of highlights the main flaw of the Empire that Palpatine enforced. Inner competition and infighting. Thrawn, Hemlock, and the Grand inquistor each inflicted momumental amounts of damage, but their infighting among their ranks, and lack of cooperation make them much easier to deal with than otherwise.

It’s definitely a good thing Rex urged the Bad Batch to remove their inhibitor chips otherwise Hemlock would’ve been able to turn them into them

pretty much, damn imagine if they made it so that they were more of a threat throughout the series 😞 would if worked super well! a beautiful scene where they are fighting basically themself!

I didn't realise this until I rewatched the episode, there's actually 5 CX Troopers. There's the sniper, the dual sword wielder, the tank with the electric chain, the one with the staff, and then there's the one who's more of the assault type class. They all kind of loosely resemble each member of the bad batch.

Funny thing is that the first time I saw that episode I thought there were like 20 of these operatives. Only upon another watch I realized that there were just 5.
@@californiadreams1170 yes, however we know there were at least seven throughout the show. There were the first two assassins that Rex nabbed and then these five. It’s also implied that the clone rebellion ran into a couple more CX assassins between seasons 2 and 3, so Hemlock probably tried to make as many as possible.
I’m glad none of them were Tech. As much as it would’ve made sense, leaving his sacrifice untouched makes that final liftoff for Omega, taking Tech’s goggles, all the more personal, as she still remembered he brother as the hero that saved her
Wrecker took out half of them by himself at minimum strength. 💪

this finale felt like there was more planned for the show overall but executives said no you only get three seasons
Though for me it's also a parallel to the scene in Mando season 3, where Din finds a bunch of Moff Gideon clones and destroys them before he can use them

I mean it’s either Ventress or Clones but the it felt like more a finale to the Bad Batch since they want to wrap their stories.
@@MrTragedious986if they scrapped the Ventress stuff then they would’ve had two free episodes to do a lot more with. I think it would’ve been cool if the sniper CX did turn out to be a clone we knew, and those two extra episodes could’ve been used as a buildup to that. Or if they nabbed Rampart before Omega surrendered.

You missed one of the CX troopers. It’s the one with the Devis like visor. He was the last to be killed. They were 4 chambers because CX 2 was already created. Those troopers were just created.
honestly those are not vibro blades. Those are basically lightsabers. It's insane how they just impaled one of their brothers behind a wall like it was just butter. one of the most brutal clone deaths honestly.
There was another one you forgot to Talk about the CX 2:48 that Captured Echo and dodges Echo Shots at 2:29 that took advantage of his weapon. He has the same helmet as the previous assassins or like the Sniper Assasin, only he has the visor like Commander Bly/Devis and had different weapons on his backpack, I think he was the weapons expert from this assassin group.
Did y'all catch the rogue one reference in the finale, or was I just one of the few that geeked out when Tarkin mentioned Project Stardust?
Kind of wish they got more screen time like they are the special ops of the Empire. The bad batch that were send to do they dirty work ❤

I do wish we got a fourth season so we could see more of the cx troopers they were scary and cool I also liked how they were like the evil or dark version of the bad batch

I like to think that the reason why the bad batch managed to kill all the CX troopers is because they weren’t fully trained and developed so there was still some flaws
Hemlock tried to recreate the Bad Batch, he failed miserably.. No one can recreate the Bad Batch.
When they were activated in the finale, I thought to myself “those guys must be the Mad Batch”

2nd one is clearly not tech because his helmet was thrown off and you can see his face to be just like the rest of the regular clones

You forgot one trooper, CX-6. He's the one who held Echo at gunpoint and got killed by Vik, the bearded clone. He kinda resembles Echo, given how he acts like an ARC trooper.

CX-2 (Crosshair’s nemesis from Teth)
CX-3 (the samurai with the electric spear staff)
CX-4 (the Warrior with the dual vibro-swords)
CX-5 (the one with the electric bowlers and only one with RGB lighting on his knuckles)
Cx-6 (the last one killed by the clone trooper)
There are 5 CX troopers: 4 came out of the tubes and were Hemlock’s personal experiments (I think) and the 5th one is the one we first saw during the episode with Rex.

The sniper's armor is cold as fuck.
Cx troopers were the closest thing to terror troopers without claws or cloaking tech. Mk ultra was included.
They kind of remind me of purge troopers. Even their weapon style is kinda similar. You got a fast and agile one, a staff wielder, heavy brute, and a marksman.
They kinda look like Helldivers

I think that the way each Cx trooper faces each Bad Batch member represents who they were based off of, for example the CX sniper which many people believed was Tech sparred mainly with Crosshair, the CX with the staff was built more like Wrecker, the one with the slit visor resembles more like Echo. The other ones I don’t know
So basically phase 0 Dark Troopers without the jetpack.
so that makes 6 CX troopers
- CX 0 (the sniper who killed Slip during the coruscant conspiracy and then killed himself)
- CX 1 (the sniper with no rangefinder that gets captured and then silenced by CX 2)
- CX 2 (the sniper that just refused to die)
and then the dual vibroblade one, the staff one, the one with the bolas, and that other one with the Deviss helmet
My first reaction to seeing these guys was that they had to be Dark Trooper phase 1, but they were obviously not
It's the first Purge Troopers, and they were actually the last generation of clone troopers produced from the bounty hunter Jango Fett's template.
Surprised not to see or hear anything about purge troopers. Felt to me like they were the first step in that direction, and that cross hairs elite unit were already covering the dark trooper origins
they are actually 5 CX troopers, the extra one only appear when they wake up and when they die, he is kill by the prisioner clone
The Good Batch
I would have liked them to have been built up more to a bigger payoff. It did look like it for the assassin for a while but in the end they all went a bit like the Knights of Ren - killed off without much impact

He's helmet was actually the one who looked the most like tech
We see him in the training room he is on the rigth side when they engaged the clones and echo
I feel like since that one assassin wasnt revealed to be Cody it leaves big potential for another show especially to see how commander wolf joined Rex. They also need to explain what happened with project necromancer considering darth sidious did come back and it was mentioned in mandolorian. They also should make a show on delta squad because I feel like bringing back scorch alone for no reason especially just to kill him off was unnecessary if they weren’t going to expand on it later. I really do wish they had that assassin be tech even if he died it just would have been a cool seen but none the less bad batch left us with a lot of cliff hangers/opportunities for future shows
Nah, those were much closer to Pretorian guards than dark troopers.
Only one of them was using range weapon, and rest were using staves or swords. They were elite combat team, and with exception of sniper, were used to defend someone.
And they went down like a bunch of whimps after somehow wiping the floor with Bad Batch. Sounds like Pretorians to me.

At first i thought it was project DT phase 1 as there were mention of empire using clones for early DT model till modified to robotic phases.

the trooper who shot the CX clones is name is Vik, not sure but i saw in fandom and then i checked again the episode to find is name any where and i can't find it lol. Clone trooper vik might join rex's underground resistance if we get an series about them

Idk why people are thinking these guys were the evil Bad Batch or something. U can see one of them lose their helmets and hes obviously a reg so who's to say the others aren't regs but with physical mutations which would explain the different sizes

I don’t think there dark troopers but more like the fist edition of praetorian guards with different Helmets and weapons. And also how they are used to protect the high end imperial people much like how moff Gideon requested some in Mando season 3 from the shadow council.

As cool as they look, they were ultimately wasted characters with absolutely no background. Throughout the season it could’ve been implied that the CX troopers were clones of the members of the bad batch. Especially the CX sniper. Or even a better twist, the CX sniper being the real Crosshairs and the cloned clone being the one reinstated into the bad batch.
