Every Bad Batch Order Explained

- The Bad Batch are a unit of mutated clone commandos. They are known for their unorthodox and oftentimes chaotic battlefield tactics. But I assure you everything they do is actually very well planned and practiced.

Plan 99 - Sacrifice. In honor of the goat, 99.
99 from the Clone Wars show reminds me of the groundskeeper from Star Trek, Mr Boothby. Many looked to that man for wisdom and inspiration while many were still training to become a Starfleet officer (similar to how 99''s lessons & later sacrifice showed the best traits of being a clone)
I can't believe Tech died before seeing Crosshair turn a new leaf.
I know in my heart that tech would be proud.
And not only that, he'd probably think it's inevitable based on logic.
@@MrCOLBSTAH🤗🥰🥰
@@MrCOLBSTAHHe’d probably say “Well I thought it was obvious”
Not true. Crosshair sent him Plan 88
Tech was too smart to know that crosshair redeemed himself. He sent plan 88, he wouldn’t have done that if he was a full imperial
Plan 88 - Wrecker eats everything
Fun fact, 88 was just on by default until Omega came along.
Plan 88
The Bad Batch destroys everything
wrecker isnt Caseoh tho
No, that’s Plan 7
Caseoh ahhh plan
Clone 99 is proof kaminoans weren't as cold hearted as it seems. Instead of destroying what they would consider defective property, they give 99 clothes, a job, and food. Would have been far cheaper to kill him and let droids do the cleaning, but they kept a living being around and gave him a reason to live, which in the long run he died doing exactly what he was made for, being a soldier and fighting to protect his home and his family
When the Shak Ti and the other Jedi Generals started becoming more involved on Kamino they asked the Kaminoans to stop terminating defective clones because the Jedi valued Life. Also the same thing happened when the Mando bounty hunters started training the 1st Arc troopers, the Kaminos where going to terminate them because they were too independent but they were saved.
@@stop8628 is there proof this is why they stopped killing defective clones or is this just deduction based on actions taken during the series? I've never seen anything in cannon that states the jedi specifically asked the kaminoans to change. Also, Nala se protected omega without being coerced by a jedi and it wasn't just to protect her science. She could have destroyed everything any time she wanted. Had many opportunities to blow up her lab. I mean they were wanting to kill 5s to figure out what was wrong with his inhibitor chip and the only thing that stopped them was a logical argument from shak ti that technically the clones were property of the republic, not an appeal to their value of life
@@stop8628 not saying you're wrong or being a smart ass, I just never seen any in writing or film actual orders from the jedi to the kaminoans to stop.
Another thing is, they did name the entire unit after 99. The official name of the unit for the Kaminoans is even "Clone force 99" or "experimental unit 99", clearly they picked this name on purpose
Never saw it that way but now...
somehow i am still crying about tech. I think he really was one of my favorite characters of all time
i mean yes, especially the Bad Batch infiltrates *a lot* of heavily guarded places during their three seasons plus the Clone Wars. But then again, they are Commandos, so that kind is what they are made for.
Yet another reason why Tarkin is made of stupid.
3:50 the Bad Batch writers pretty much used a Republic Commando mission only they switched Delta Squad with the Bad Batch
Bruh. They used also sounds, HUD and Scorch out of Republic Commando
@@LukiKruki I know
@@LukiKrukiApparently one of the audio guys on TBB had previously worked on Republic Commando
I'm getting trauma from the Geonosian control ship bridge...
@@ninyaninjabrifsanovichthes45 yup, that mission was really hard
i have to admit it. out of all the clones that died in the clones wars, 99 was perhaps the most legendary. because of his sacrifice, a group of mutated CC's adopted his name into their culture and even plans. 99 was even responsible for domino squad. whenever the empire said the name 'clone force 99' i feel like 99 still is alive.
Echo was also very close to 99, so him joining the bad batch was him realizing he wasnt so different after all!
and when tech said plan 99. i knew what it meant and that was the true kicker. sacrifice. RIP Tech and 99.
Edit: CT99's not CCs. my bad.
The Bad Batch were actually CT99's not CC's like Gregor. Except Echo coz hes not a defective clone
While my favorite clone is Rex, hand down and I really hated losing some of my other favorite clones like Gregory and 5's, but I got to say Tech was my "spirit clone" and losing him really got me in the feels!
God I’m gonna miss this show… it was part of what reignited my love of Star Wars, and its messages of family and being proud of who you are have really stuck with me. It’s made me laugh, made me cry, and helped me through some tough times.
Thank you, Clone Force 99
So, tech was like the one droid from Rogue One; calculating every possible outcome to ensure his allies’ success and survival, even if it meant sacrifice.
K2SO
I have a bad feeling about this. Very sad when he died.
A Manning has been mentioned in a Star Wars video. This really is the best YT channel!
Hearing Alan break down Star Wars scenarios in football terms is something I never knew I needed.
I'm willing to bet that at the time, Wrecker hadn't memorised the plans so he just went with Plan 7 because it was the first number that came to mind, but he got better at keeping up with them as time went on and made it a personal goal to memorise all of them beyond just the most important ones (particularly once Tech died), which is why when Crosshair asks him if he remembers Plan 55 later, Wrecker scours his mental list and is able to correctly recall which one he is.
If tech was in the marvel cinematic:
"I looked forward in time. I saw 14,000,605 futures. And only in one, did I survive. I know what must be done. Plan 99."
Having plans ready is tight!
Your chin looks so familiar.
Having a plan for every situation possible is super easy, barely an inconvenience
@PalpatinesPlumber The plans are super easy. Barely an inconvenience. 😂
really hard trying to not cry over techs sacrifice, like everytime i think of it i just want to cry my eyes
It’s the people we leave behind that suffer the most.
I'm most interested in Plan 7 cos of Echo's reaction
Tech's facepalm 😂
still miss him....
This dude is the only star wars channel I watch.
Others like SW Theory are in it for the money/clout
Yeah I got tired of theory he started coming across as a Star Wars snob to the point I unsubscribed.
watch geetsly’s as well, he’s nice
Star Wars theory is garbage. Am glad you saw the light
Star Wars Explained
Wait I just noticed that tech’s goggles sometimes look like they are blue light blocking glasses it makes sense because he is nearly always staring at screens
This might sound controversial, but I think Tech's death is sadder than Kanan's, for one big reason. Omega's reaction to his ultimate sacrifice showed an emotion that we never saw after Kanan's death: *DENIAL*
I'm going to miss Tech and The Bad Batch so much... Love that show and this channel.
Yes, thanks for investing a lot of though into the main plot and your additional and personal ideas.
Man, your mention of the "Game Shark" brought back SO many memories!! 😆
I BLAME SAW GERRERA FOR TECH'S DEATH IF IT WASN'T FOR HIM TECH WOULD BE ALIVE
Question: Do the Bad Batch have their own Plan 66? If so, what will it be about?
Realistically, it’s probably just another plan like the others, because they didn’t know about order 66 when the made the plans
Dude, you're getting me to tear up over Tech. Awesome tribute.
13:13 video length. Nice reference 👌
Thanks Allen! With your analysis of the Bad Batch orders you highlighted the superb character writing of the animated series. Damn I’m going to miss this show.
Which Bad Batch order was it that disappeared Ben and American Ben? I remember them!
The play-action play call is an excellent analogue. Well done, sir.
Tarkin can't sleep at night unless he's ordered a war crime that day.
...
Tarkin sleeps very well.
Perhaps if you memorised them - Why don't *you* memorise them! - I have!!!
I wonder if they had a plan 66 and had to change it after... well you all know
"We just got a transmission for an "order 66", any clue?"
"Sounds like one of the contingencies, uhh, I'll have to ask Tech about that. Unless the Republic ripped off our "escort the Jedi" routine."
"Ah, the Republic looking out for the jedi, wouldn't that be a sign of the times?"
BB had plans……. Palpatine had orders
He's right, they do infiltrate a lot of heavily guarded facilities in the BB. A lot more than average.
And I thought the Ghost crew did a lot of infiltrating!
That's pretty much what commandos are made to do so its kinda fitting
It would be awesome if we could get a bad batch ultimate guide that tell us all of these plans, I feel that there may only be 99 plans as plan 99 seems last resort/extreme situation. RIP tech...even watching him fall in this video hits hard
This is a fantastic video and idea for a video! Very good Allen! Now a question; would it have been more poetic to title it 'Every Bad Batch Plan Explained' vs '..Order Explained' since when have they ever followed orders?
it'd be neat if they released a book that details every single one of clone force 99's plans
Dude, the speech about Tec made me eyes wet. If you can show that much respect and passion summing up the death for a cartoon character .. Imagining what you would say about a flesh and bone person and the heroic deeds that lead to their self-sacrifice for others. You'd have the place filled with tears.
This is exactly what I wanted. A video with all the plans. Very cool
In my mind, Tech is still alive.
When he fell from the tram he disappeared into the clouds below but it didn't show his actual death.
It's entirely possible that he fell into some trees, then into a deep lake below, and survived.
In my mind, there is a whole entire story about his survival, and his eventual reuniting with the Bad Batch crew.
And everyone knows that people never really die in the Star Wars world. . .
Thank you Alan! Loved it.
Is it me, or Plan 14, 5, 86 a Metal Gear Solid reference? Noticed how combing all three numbers, it’s the same number set for opening that door in Snake Eater
This is epic! Keep it up!!
Love how poetic plan 99 is. - Sacrifice yourself to make sure your brothers survive the battle, just like old 99.
Love the Payton Manning reference haha
This might be my favorite video of all time. Well done, sir.
PS
I hope you enjoyed your trip.
You forgot Plan 9 from Outer Space!
Payton Manning was "back in the day"? I'm so old! Terry Bradshaw was back in the day. Payton barely just retired.
Tech is the goat and my favorite! rip
The Bad Batch is extremely underrated.
love the cont4ent, keep it up
R.I.P Tech you were my fav character... :/
concidering disney dose not like killing people i thought tech would come back
i was always waiting for him to come back but...he never did...when i saw the last episode of
season 3 i literally cried because i thought i would see tech
If I get a heart from you I’ll make a custom adult omega black series figure and send it to you.
Ooooohhh
I tell students about what it was like in the Peyton Era, describe him similarly to how you did lol
I would want your opinion on an animated series surrounding Ventress, and later her and Quinlan.
I don't know if you are going to read this, but if other people like the idea give it a like so that Allen has a chance to see it.
I would like a 3 Season animated series surrounding Ventress.
The first season could be centered around her and Dooku, early Clone Wars, etc; it could be centered around her fall to the dark side, and in that season we could maybe get her fight with Anakin and show how Anakin got the scar (I know that the Star Wars: The Clone Wars 2D covered this fight, but I would be cool to see it again with better animation). The second season could cover Dark Disciple, and show all the events surrounding the novel. The third season could expand on the Hidden Path with her and Quinlan as the leads.
Another animated series surrounding the clones, mainly Rex, Wolf and Gregor, could start to lay the "path" for the third season, and then when the show gets to that point the could expand more on it. But mainly have the Clone series as that, a clone series, expanding on the work of Captain Rex in the Bad Batch, showing him and the crew saving clones and fighting the empire. Having this series connect with the third season of Ventress, could justify him and Vader seeing each other.
My favorite character is Vader, I would love to see him in more stuff, but I understand why they don't, Vader is one of the strongest force users, and having him chasing a few rogue clones would not be a job for him, but having Quinlan, a jedi master and Ventress, an ex sith apprentice, apprentice to Count Dooku himself, could more than justify Vader being the main bad with some of the Inquisitors. Most of the jedi should be dead by the events of Episode 4 so the series could go as dark as it wants killing order 66 survivors that join Quinlan and Ventress.
It really has the potencial, IMO, of being a really good series.
Any opinions? I don't know if it deserves a whole video from you, but maybe you could talk about the structure and what would you like to see.
It hits all the boxes
It would be a female lead, so Disney may be more inclined to produce it.
Ventress is a fan favorite and so it's Dooku, the first season could also continue a little bit the the Dooku arc on Tales of the Jedi.
It would be centered around force users so there would be tons of lightsaber fights
They could bring fan favorites in each season, and it would make every sense to do so.
We could finally see a force user that has a balance between the light and the dark side, not afraid to tap on either one.
VADER
I remember absolutely loving dark disciple after reading it. Going in I had low expectations, I wasn’t a big fan of ventress and hated her in both clone wars shows. So yeah I think it’s an excellent idea. You’re right It does seem to tick disneys box for more female leads and it’s actually a great character so we all win.
Thanks for the video
No body, no death yes I'm sipping that copium lmfao his glasses don't mean anything
Great video as always, props on knowing what Drunken Master is. Great movie IMO.
Rest in Greatness Tech

Thank you for giving my suggestion a look...channel is amazing
9:21 What is better? To be born good, or to overcome your evil nature through great effort?
1:10 3 of those machines.
Seeing tech died was sad but I’m glad Disney didn’t try to bring him back to life like they do with everyone else
If tech was Norse, he would be in Valhalla. He died well with honor.
Big fan of plan 69.
Thank you for your service, Tech! RIP
I hated to see tech die, but as analytical as he was, he knew exactly what had to be done and didn't hesitate to do it.
Awesome football analogies!
Your totally right Al! The Bad Batch area of expertise, is to bust into the most highly guarded places!! That's why they bad!!
Now I wonder what was the plan 66🤔
RIP tech tied best bad batcher
I wonder when we get an explanation for all of the orders at once like what was order 65? they had 99 plans and we only heard/know 35 of them
Great video
Clone force 99 is named bc they are CT 99s which are defective
It confirm when Hunter tell Gregor they are ct 99 and he response with “defective clones”
Plan 99 actually more sense tho
Exactly this. Nothing to do with 99 himself. Defective clones. Great video as always though.
Plan 7 is my favorite one
I appreciated the Payton Manning lesson
Thank you for breaking down The Bad Batch’s plan ## !!❤️👍😎
NO Sir, 86 means you have been kicked out, removed from a place, YOU'VE been EightySixed.
99 is the most interesting the team is named after clone 99 and their name is clone force 99 and clone 99 died. so plan 99 is where one of the batch dies. It’s an ironic plan a sad plan but still ironic.
Ever since Tech's death, it almost seems like they've been using Echo as a replacement for Tech, but Echo will never be Tech. Tech will be Tech. Echo will be Echo.
1:55 Hunter and Wrecker
I wonder what the bad batch did before Echo came along.
86ing isn't out of something, it's we're not serving ___. ___ can be a menu item you're out of, or a customer you're banning, or an employee you're firing
R.I.P. Tech
Generation tech when do you think you can make more Star Wars? What if alternate scenarios?
I also think that it’s quite strange that the name of the squad, and the plan for a squad member to sacrifice themselves are the same name. Maybe it’s because clone force 99 were always meant to die for the republic?
Their name and also the name of plan 99 come from Clone 99. The defective clone they got their name from. He sacrificed himself and so the logical conclusion is to name the sacrifice plan.... plan 99.
Also they were defective……………..but effective 👍
actually, the guns on the Venator that shot down the V-wings are NOT AA guns, they're DBY-827 Heavy Turbolasers
It really hits me on why the 501st does not have their own Commando squad?
I think the Bad Batch was never meant to be a "chaos squad" or anything. They're not wild cards. They're just mutated and as such different to their brothers, so they have particular sets of skills that a regular clone squad couldn't do. They had a walking computer wizard with Tech, someone with superhuman tracking skills and agility with Hunter, someone with pinpoint accurate aim with Crosshair and someone who can muscle his way into anything and lift very heavy stuff with Wrecker. Those special skills probably allowed them to devise these special Orders to begin with. Like the "Crosshair connects two tanks and Wrecker shoves them down a slope" example you bring up in the intro. Normal Clone Squad wouldn't be able to do that, probably, because they'd need 2-4 Clones to push these tanks. Wrecker does that by himself. So such a tactic wouldn't "fly" with other squads to begin with. Hence why the Bad Batch was so good.
Less of a chaos squad that does shenanigans and more of a highly specialised squad with out-of-the-box plans.
As a great gungan general said " not death, sacrifice"
Tech: "wrecker, plan 99."
Peyton is a legend.. shout out to the 2000s NFL
Plan 69 is when they all start kissing to confuse the enemy
You forgot Plan 9! It's from outerspace...😂
That was anaxis We actually sew different places on a starears planet that look completely different
As an Indiana man the Peyton manning reference is pretty awesome. Dude was a great qb
Tech ❤
My Lord I need blu-rays of this
