SIDE NOTE: I understand that there is more than one way to do treatments. With that in mind, please refrain from telling me I'm doing the procedure wrong because you do it differently. I would greatly appreciate it. ALSO....please keep in mind that this is done as a demo for my esthetics students.....they film for me and there are questions asked during the procedure. I understand that the filming, the sound or background noise may not be the best. No need to notify me of that. Just enjoy it for what it is. :)
Skin analysis is the part of a professional facial when the esthetician covers your eyes with cool cotton pads and looks at your skin underneath a brightly lit "mag lamp" to determine your skin type (dry, oily, normal or combination), skin conditions (acne, open or closed comedones, dehydration, pigmentation issues, etc.), and the best course of treatment, both during your facial and with home products.
During the skin analysis, the esthetician should tell you what she/he sees, including what is positive about your skin, and how it can be improved. She/he may have some questions, such as whether something has always been there, or has appeared recently. She/he should tell you what kind of treatment she/he recommends based on what she/he sees and get your agreement. She/he should also let you know if there is anything she/he sees that should be looked at by a dermatologist.
Hopefully, you will learn a little something from this tutorial. Enjoy :)

Disagree. Normal skin *CAN absolutely* be dehydrated

It CANNOT!! It is 50% moisture and 50% oil. No one more than the other. Sorry. It's extremely rare.

@@bethannmaloney1084 it's a skin condition, not a skin type though which can come and go? Dehydrated skin can be oily, combination, or normal skin type that is lacking water and feels tight", says Patricia Boland, International skin educator and lead product developer at Colorescience UK. "Dehydrated skin is a skin condition, lacking water content, but may still produce oil."
I am a beauty therapist and laser technician myself, working alongside a dermatologist with normal but dehydrated skin.

*also quickly from Google on dehydration* : to find out, it's important to make the distinction between dehydrated skin and dry skin. Dehydrated skin is a skin condition that occurs when there's a lack of water in the skin. This can *happen to anyone regardless of skin type*
My dermatologist also says my normal skin can be dehydrated ☺️

@@lizzi7128 I know exactly what dehydrated is. But you go with what you think.

you're right, a person can have any skin type & be dehydrated, its a systemic status, not a local skin condition, when severely dehydrated frequency & volume of urination will be very low. PS: im a doctor
