I think framing the dark purple with the light purple just like you did the dark on the light would of made it pop just a little more. Awesome job have learned lots from you.

I've watched this video several times. Great video! I'm working on one now for a Christmas fund raising for kids in our area. My question is, do I CP the under warp before I start with the 3D warping? I am using a pro warp metallic 9840 A size for my under warp.and my 3D warp will be two shades of maroon 1 dark and 1 lighter color. thanks for your videos and your service.
To answer your question about elongated wraps - I am assuming you mean once the diameter of the blank narrows from where you are starting the wrap to where you are finishing it. There is a video from a You Tuber named Fishing Louisiana and the video is called Laying out a rod wrap. He answers your question and demonstrates it starting at around the 11:00 mark.
John The red white and blue diamond wrap you did on the dowel rod was really awesome. Just ordered a white blank to build with. What are the chances of getting that recipe?
I’m sorry if I missed it in the video but, are the red and blue marks on the left on different axis’ than the red and blue marks on the right? I’m about to attempt it and that’s my last gray area (famous last words). Thanks for the video!!
Thanks you! It came out pretty well, but there were issues with the thread slipping off the colored marks on the handle side. Presumably that was because I used too much tension. In the areas where I realized this, the separated a bit after applying epoxy. I used a tool to push it back together, then used a little heat to smooth it out. Hopefully that helps someone. Thank you again for the great video and the reply’s
@@mastrsk8 - glad to hear it went well, and yes, tension is a little tricky. I always prefer it a little loose so it does not slip and is a little easier to pack with your burnishing tool.
Thanks. Thank you for the tip too. The red and blue marks are a great too btw. I get side tracked by my kids a lot. With out that tip I’d probably still be doing that build from repeatedly having to start over. Thanks again. Happy Holidays.
Thank you for watching and asking David. It is totally up to you, but personally I would only use one run of braid and in different colors. Meaning I wouldn’t use the same braid color on both sides. Does this make sense?
I like your videos because you go slow and you’re really precise to the detail so it’s reproducible for us. Thanks.
Thank you Kim, and I’m glad you find the videos useful. Truly appreciate the feedback, and thanks for watching.

Thank you for watching and commenting Ralph, and no, you do not need to use CP on your metallic thread.
Do you have a pattern I could follow by chance. Hard for me to remember. Looks great and thanks for posting.
Thank you Michael and I will soon, so be sure to stay tuned. Thank you for watching and commenting as well.
I'm just starting out and wanted to add something to the butt end. Not sure I can do them but am going to try.

Thank you Jeffrey and thanks again for watching. As for the thread, it is Pro Wrap Colorfast #601.

can I use metalic size D thread or does it stretch and unstretch to much so there would be gaps ?
Yes you can use size D thread, and I do that all the time. Thank you for watching and commenting.
where would ypu run a section of braid ? Would you still run three up and down or would you do just one up and down.

John,
I was looking the thread counts but I re-watched the video and got that info.
Thanks for replying and Sorry to bother
No worries Tom and it is no bother. Glad I’m able to help. Happy Sunday…
Please use different colours as blue on purple very hard to see
Thanks

Nice wrap. You mentioned butt diameter in the beginning. Did you actually determine circumference.
Yes I did Craig. I misspoke. Thanks for watching.
