Hey man! Absolutely LOVE these videos. I'm currently going through the process of enlisting and I wanna be a TACP. I've been training hard almost daily with weightlifting and body weight exercises, but the one thing I'm worried about is my cardio. I'm a little short on my mile and a half time and I'm constantly attacked by my shin splints. The shin splints are getting better with a change in running form and better shoes, but i was wondering if you had any advice on either improving cardio or dealing with shin splints. Thank you again for making this series. Can't find anything else like it online and it's exactly what I've been searching for!
Running injury prevention like that helps to have a progression of running. Don’t go from not running much to killing yourself. It’s something that is going to come with time. Start slow. Throughout the weeks slowly increase your mileage by 10%. Also, take your recovery seriously. Stretch and ice. The running program that you do should last 4-6 months...so start off slow, and stay consistent. You’ll improve.
I seriously injured my foot and couldn’t run for a year and a half. When I started running again in June, I started of running 2 miles twice a week. Then 2.5 miles twice a week. 3, 3.5, etc. I started off slow. I didn’t time myself, I just got the miles in without going at a hard pace.
I’m honestly not too familiar with the cross training process, so unfortunately I can’t do that one. All I know is that you go and talk with your base’s career advisor at the education office.

Could you possibly make a workout/recovery routine? A prep for prep, if you will.
There’s a lot that goes into it. I pushed out a video today with a couple of different workout programs. For recovery, it’s just using your time outside of the gym to stretch often, take ice baths and/or epsom salt baths when you’re feeling sore, rolling out with a roller, and stuff like that. For diets, there’s also a lot that goes into that as well. I Willie have to make an entire video on that alone.

I’m wondering the same, I’m 29 and looking to enlist as a TACO officer once I’m done with my BS in about a year or so. I’ll be close to your age when I get the ball rolling.
I went through the course as a member of Falcon 78. It’s best to start off light weight low mileage. Ruck twice a week. A small ruck Monday, and longer ruck Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. Week 1-Ruck 2 miles light on Monday with 35 pounds, ruck 4 miles with 35 pounds later in the week. Week 2, ruck 2.5 miles on Monday, 5 later in the week. It’s really all dependent on what you want to do with your wife during the pipeline, but you will be able to move off base as soon as you get to the FTU. Also, the washout rate used to be around 50% years ago, but they have done better at validating candidates before they enter the pipeline. So now it’s a little higher than that.
@@FunkyBunkley thank you for the info getting deployed in a lil over 2 months so 5 months into it I’ll put in my package thanks man I feel very squared away and even more when I put in that package !
What’s the difference before JTAC/ TACP cause I wanna do one or the other
Which one works with special forces?
JTAC is a certification, you'll get that down the road as a TACP.
Sounds like ITB bruh
What is the ops tempo for TACP’s right now?
It depends on where you’re stationed, but across the career field the conventional guys are deploying less than OIF and OEF.
FunkyBunkley is it hard to get on an STS?
Hey sir, I'm in Germany as well (USAF). Is there any way I could send you an email to ask you a few more in depth questions?
Absolutely brotha. I’m on an Army Base now, so I probably won’t be in global. My civilian email is funkybunkley@hotmail.com or you can shoot me a message on instagram at funkybunkley

Thats awesome.
Are there any females who have passed?
3 women have made it as TACP officers, but there has not been a female enlisted TACP candidate make it through the training yet.
You guys don't get the cred you should.
