I love the videos with your son and husband - they crack me up! Plus, they do have really useful information for anyone making quilts for men. Thanks for the info and the laughs :)
I loved this episode. As a girly girl, who is an extreme tomboy I sew I quilt I hunt and I fish, so this one was definitely right on the money for me. Thanks for the tips as well as the laughs.
The guys banter of eachother reminds me of the McKenzie brothers (Bob & Doug). 😂 Fun video. Very insightful into what guys see when they look at a quilt. Thanks for sharing!
Your video was so very enjoyable! You can feel the love that all of you have for each other. Good to see they enjoy your craft, and are willing to participate in your video. May God Bless you all. Keep on Sewing! Today was my first time seeing your video. I have subscribed so that I can enjoy watching you more. Your Quilts are beautiful 🚒🚑🪡
Oh My Gracious!!!! This video pooped up in my feed...you now have a new subscriber! What adorable menfolk you have! LOVE this video. Put a smile on my face. Blessings from Texas! 🤠🤠💖💖
"I do have two strainers!" Have to admire their honesty. Remember quilters, nothing puffy, no wall hangings, and no mug rugs.....at least not for their intended purpose for the guys. Thanks so much for these videos, they are a treat!
I love the interaction here and Love that they both love sleeping under a quilt and then your Son says how expensive blankets are, I am still listening, but so glad you interjected about the cost of a Quilt. And Gift or no gift, they are expensive and the hours of love into each Quilt. When does a Quilter ever get gifted so many hours and expense from anyone, never is my way of thinking. OMG now Wes is working in the Quilt shop. Love it, watching with a smile on my dial. :)
I absolutely loved this video. Your husband and son are so entertaining! It is very evident that they both love you and each other very much. So much joy, laughter and good times must fill your lives. ❤❤❤❤
Oh my! I loved the interaction of your husband and son in these videos. Especially this one. They’re so honest. They gave us a look into the minds of our men folk. Thank you!😊
My wife and I enjoyed the Quilts for Men episodes very much. It offered practical advice for the wife and shared enjoyment for us both. I, too, have taken a nap at the Missouri Star man cave in Hamilton. Thank you very much.
Fun video! Thanks! The men in my family absolutely LOVE mug rugs! They're gamers, as well as outdoorsmen, and spend a lot of time on their computers. The mug rugs protect their keyboards. I'm making "space" themed quilts for two of the grandkids. One wants to be an engineer and the other an astrophysicist.
I have not laughed this hard in a long time...I don't know how I missed this. Thank you and thank the guys...the mug rug to drain the brass on made me laugh till I cried. And the comment never to many ARs...oh, my. They and my husband would have gotten along so great. (not that they wouldn't now, but he had a stroke and no longer fishes or hunts or reloads or any of that stuff)
Window panel? Maybe add a picture of your dog and make into fabric then applique in the panel as your pet is part if family and video. Love this quilt talk.❤❤❤
Priceless! I knew this would be such a good fun when I saw the subject matter. Thank you all for making this entertaining video for us. It was great to see Milo too!
The boys are back, the boys are back in town. I like the deer panel on the wall. I like big heavy quilts too! Oh that fishing quilt is neat, I like all the HST’s. ❤️ He didn’t want his quilt to touch the floor. 😃. My hubby doesn’t like heavy quilts either. I have 2 strainers 😂🤣😂.
These are the cutest and funniest videos by two of the sweetest guys. They are hysterical and the love between them undeniable. I just had to make 3 of the "correct camo" blankets for grandsons. This is how my son and husband communicate when they get together they crack me up. How did you make your son's quilt so heavy my son wants a heavy quilt?
I put batting in his ragtime quilts and that makes them heavier. The quilt he shows in this video is heavy because of its size and dense quilting. It also was made several years ago and the batting seemed thicker and heavier then.
Another enjoyable interviews! Brought up memories of my husbands trips he planned around quilt shops.. Wyoming has one in a hardware store. Oregon has a quilt shop in a fully stocked mercantile… 1 stop shopping!
Such gorgeous quilts, (awesome themes and beautiful colors), and amazing family! Although, this panel may have been quilted by now, but my opinion and I have used this; but imagine: a thin black trim with a wide hunter's orange border then a strip of the same real tree camo then a hunter orange binding. It brings out panel really well! Was great to find your videos, looking forward to your future ones.
Watching this was a blast! So much fun! You have a great family. They are so supportive. It was a great idea to have your guys on. Give them a hug from all of us channel subscribers.
I don’t think I’ve laughed this hard in ages!!! 😂😂😂 I have a pic of my husband sleeping in the man cave at MSQ company too! He took me there for my birthday several years ago. It was amazing!
I found your channel while searching for color ideas for charity quilts for men. I love the videos with your guys (you all are having so much fun!) I wonder if you would consider doing a video specifically about quilt colors and fabric designs that men like or dislike. And also what general quilt patterns they like. Thank you, I look forward to watching all your other videos, too.
I was looking for ideas for quilt styles for men and this popped up! I had the best laugh through the whole video and of course had to look for the others you had posted. Loved them all. Thank you for sharing such lovely, happy family members and their quilts! PS...I am going to look at #3 video to see how the deer panel quilt turned out. If it isn't there, did you post a pic of that quilt?
If you laughed through part 2 be sure to watch part 1! They are funny! I have not even started the deer panel quilt...Wes has three quilts and this fourth one will have to wait a bit longer....Lol! When they said they just wanted camo fabric around it, I put in on the back burner. I am not sure just any camo will look good....Wes also wanted those quilted runners for his work benches so I did finish those for him.
Just finished watching this. Wow this went from quilt design to a confrontation in hunting skills to Milo's tummy temperature really fast! Very entertaining, thanks so much!
I just found these videos. I love them! The guys are so engaged. I just bought a long arm and I am amazed at how much my husband is involved and how interested in the quilting he is. 🎉❤
I am looking for a manly pattern for my grandson and my husband and I like the one you did for Jared that you did with big pattern strips. Is there any way I can get the dimensions for those strips or a pattern. this is the greatest video and my husband enjoyed it also. Thanks Shirley
I’m so glad you and your husband enjoyed this video. I have searched for this pattern for another subscriber and was not able to locate it. I’m so doeyhi couldn’t help.
Sorry to be late to the party but have just discovered your (channel/blog? , not good on term, ha ) I thought the quilting on your husbands quilt looked like when your fly lands on the water, wish I could have seen more of your sons 2nd quilt, colours+ fabrics looked great. Really useful having a mans perspective on a quilt. I have just made my son one and I worried about that one more than any other I have made, so wanted him to like it (thankfully he did, phew).
It is so enjoyable watching your guys describe the quilts you lovingly made for them. Such love with you all. It helps to have a guys perspective when making their guilts. I make quilts for my hubby and sons and love the new ideas your men give. Thanks for including your precious pup in the videos. 🤗
It is one of my favorite of all the videos I have ever watched...it will be one I go to to cheer myself up. I also got tickled at your son talking about adding more camou to the one panel...and that you don't mix camous...etc
You have some amazing support. Going to stores, picking out their fabric and working on your own quilting room. I enjoyed hearing stories of their quilt store trips.
I love your family interview!!. I've made alot of camo quilts and outdoor for NE Game & Parks Becoming Outdoors Women events. I have the whole house with turkey wolves and deer. Love their answers!!
Loved your men sharing their views❣️ Had a good laugh. Have you done a video of your quilt room layout? I am new to your channel and am trying to find it amongst your previous productions. Would be interested in knowing the size and layout. Have enjoyed your videos and sharing of your favorite quilting tools. My room to quilt in is in our basement. It is a rancher built in the 50s and has pine tongue n groove on ALL the walls which makes it pretty dark. We had an egress window put in when we bought 20+ years ago for the safety of the boys in case of fire but that is the only window. Considering removing the wood and having sheet rock put up. 🤔 It looks like you mainly do panels for your guys and pattern the borders? I love the quilt with the half square triangles. 😍 No questions for the guys, they did a great job in both videos. 👍🏻
Susan I did a quilt room tour early on and not much has changed in my room. I didn’t have a very good camera then but you can get a pretty good idea of what it looks like.
I have just started quilting at 71 years old. OMG, your husband and son are a riot. I really enjoyed these videos. Thank you.
Thanks for watching!
This is the best series of quilting videos I have ever seen. Lot’s of great laughs.
lol! Thanks for watching!!!
They are so cute and I love how excited they were talking about quilts and their ideas on how to put the camo quilt together!🫶🏽
Thank you!
I love the videos with your son and husband - they crack me up! Plus, they do have really useful information for anyone making quilts for men. Thanks for the info and the laughs :)
Glad you like them!
The dog needs a quilt!
LOL!
He doesn’t have a quilt but he does have a couple of nice blankets!
Their eyes tell the whole story. So much love.
Thank you!
I loved this episode. As a girly girl, who is an extreme tomboy I sew I quilt I hunt and I fish, so this one was definitely right on the money for me. Thanks for the tips as well as the laughs.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it!
"You okay with that?" "Just as well be." Hahahaha
They are funny together!!!
Made my day! You are so lucky to have these two in your quilting life!
I agree!!!
The guys banter of eachother reminds me of the McKenzie brothers (Bob & Doug). 😂
Fun video. Very insightful into what guys see when they look at a quilt. Thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it!
For the border for the panel with the deer? Seminole border!!!
Good idea! Thanks for sharing!
The best tutorial laughed and learned so much how a man thinks, will be making a deer panel in the near future for my grandson's quilt, so many ideas
Awesome!

@@thesimplequilter7499 I did. I love all 3 videos! 🙂
Nice to have a man's point of view on quilts 😊 funny guys😅 you have a lovely family! ❤

Your 'man quilt' videos have been such a help to me!
I’m so glad!
So sweet. You are a lucky woman to have these two guys to in your life to support you.
I agree! Thank you!
I love the panel quilts that have attic windows on them. That was what I thought of when I seen the deer panel. Beautiful.
An attic window is a great idea!
I like a picture window!
My wife and I enjoyed the Quilts for Men episodes very much. It offered practical advice for the wife and shared enjoyment for us both. I, too, have taken a nap at the Missouri Star man cave in Hamilton. Thank you very much.

Thank you!
Love these Men on Quilts videos! How great to have the love and support of those two. Keep the videos coming!
Hi Jane! I'm so glad you enjoyed this video! I do think they are pretty great!
Fun video!
Thanks for watching and telling about your family and their love for mug rugs!!!! They will love those quilts!
What fun and loving a couple of fellas you are. Life is great.
They are pretty great!

Your guys are a hoot. Just like my four adult boys and their dad. I have really enjoyed this second video. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks Barbara!
This video was absolutely charming! Great family.

We don’t rehearse these videos and Wes’s use of the mug rug had me laughing too!!!
Hand made quilts might be more expensive but that is due to how long it takes to make and with a mountain of love added as well.
That’s right!
I'm lol so much. These two are hilarious!
Yes they are!!!

Big problem for me. 2 grandsons graduating.
Yes I used batting and I quilted an X on each block.
I'd really like to see your quilts unfolded in their full glory. Do you have videos like that?
