Support these companies because they try their best to make their products as durable as possible rather than replaceable. Their bottom line depends on it.
I’ve brought two Jansport superbreaks over a period of time back in high school and one in college, and both zippers broke due to wear and tear, I’ve returned it to the boutique here in the Philippines where I bought it and they repaired it and to my surprise with no cost at all and they didn’t even request for a receipt, a couple weeks later I’ve got them back and I can still use them at work, its not as much as it was back when it was new but boy Jansport bags are really tough.
Gerber Knives have a lifetime warranty. I had one I'd owned for over 10 years - the blade opening button broke - sent ti them with no receipt, they fixed it and polished and sharpened the blade - no charge.
Thank you for the video. I always though the “Lifetime warranty” is just a gimmick. Now I see they do really stand behind their products, at least in the case of Jansport. I have quite a few Jansports in my family. They still work well after many years of use. And I cannot claim for warranty yet.
I had LL bean stuff i had a lifetime warranty on and it was worn out. But i never sent it in. Including a $200 jacket. But they without warning ceased their lifetime warranty. I was angry. Jansport on the other hand. My books were super heavy from bio and chem classes. The fabric separated along a top seam. When i sent it in, i asked if the leather bottom could be cut off and returned with the new bag. They returned my entire old bag with markings showing it was already exchanged.I love Jansport
I don’t know if it was LL Bean that was one of the companies that did this, but what was happening was a lot of people were purchasing merchandise from second hand dealers and submitting them to the manufacturers to be their own and looking for a new model in return. Companies, like LL Bean, caught on and ceased their warrantees because people were taking advantage of the system.
*eBags honors their own backpack warranties similar to Jansport* I had used an eBag-brand backpack for about 4 years until the seams separated, eBags asked for only a photo of my bag showing their logo and the damage - no receipt, no sending it back, and then they sent me a brand new one. The new bag has since been lost (a friend borrowed indefinitely) and I had a shoemaker stitch up the old one for $5 which I still use until today to transport power tools and other rough objects that I wouldn't put into a new bag, and it is still holding strong!
Wow perfect timing! I have a raggedy Jansport backpack that I've used for years. I have been meaning to get rid of but kept hanging onto it. I had no idea they offer a hassle free, generous, lifetime warranty. Time to send it in! Thanks for the idea and information!
Yup. Still works. Just inside coating is starting to come off and the fabric zipper pulls were hanging by a thread lol But it still functions as a perfectly good backpack! Keep making interesting videos! =)

Nice one. I stopped using a skateboard as transportation solely due to the inherent stability issue. I suppose that is not an issue for someone that never falls off. I suppose the larger wheels goes a long way, I might need to give that a try.
Definitely a fun way of transportation. I however come from a background of board sports (snowboard, surfing..) and still managed to break my left arm yesterday with a skateboard. So, I guess it's fun but still a bit dangerous.
Yes, just as with a lot of good you gets 1 time of factory warranty. It's a long time ago for me but if I'm not mistaking after you register your board online you get a life-time warranty (except regular wear and tear).

Haw made in sir??
USA.
@@BeatTheBush I want to ask, sir, is there a logo like a human picture on the right arm? because I noticed that in other channels there are those who use the logo and there are also those who do not use the logo, I just happened to buy this jansport right pack, but the country of manufacture is Cambodia ..., and I bought it at the official Jansport Indonesia store ... what can i get this fake?
but wait what about receipt fading over time
For thermal paper type, it's very important to scan them in or take a picture.
but is that always acceptable for the warranty ?
Going to get me one of those
=D It lasts so long, the styling gets outdated, lol. Laptops were not so common before and now they have the laptop compartment.
My current back pack has had a broken zip for over a year. I like the idea it will be replaced or fixed.
if you can laminate the receipt it'll last a long time
Be careful of heat sensitive receipts. Once you laminate those, it'll turn black.
Was it worth the $12?
Yes. The new bag is $48. Repairing the green one alone is worth at least $12 to me.
I think Nalgene water bottles have lifetime warranty
Nice. But being a huge thick plastic, it'll take a lot to somehow put a hole in it.
@@BeatTheBush yeah, the hdpe ones are invincible but the hard plastic ones do crack
we just wanted to let you know we feel that you did an excellent job on the packs review and warranty
Thank you! =D
Yes of a child of five my mom used jansports warranty for all of us.
Wow... what a great way to make sure you only buy one. =D
👍
I love JanSport! I've fixed 2 backpacks before and receive two new ones in exchange
Nice!
POV: you bought a backpack that you need tomorrow and it came with dirt all over it
Why would you buy one that has dirt on it? Used?
@@BeatTheBush no we bought it new and it came open with dirt all over it
The package also came open
Damn I threw mine away assuming they wouldn't fix it
I threw away a few myself.
Nice tan Bush
I need it to be more even, lol.
Levi Jeans used to have lifetime warranty, i dont know if they still do
You're going to make the company go belly-up...
Eastpak looks better to me.
=D
Great Hawaii tan BTB! :-)
I think it's horrible. Very uneven.
🎒💕
What is that first icon? I tomato sauce hot dog?
BeatTheBush its a red backpack emoji and pink hearts emoji.. since your video was on backpacks and how much you love lifetime warranty. Love to watch more videos on warranties! Thanks
