They have added a bridge over the main highway and upgraded several Km's of the trail. Well worth a ride to Leechtown which is the end of the rail trail. Looking forward to riding it again this year as this time I will post a ride with the VBMG as it is always nice to have company.
That’s good to know! Can I ask your opinion? Galloping Goose starting in Oak Bay to Sooke, and back to Oak Bay, in one day, on a hybrid bicycle...is it doable?? I’m in pretty good shape. Only thing I’m concerned about is that I have zero bike-repair skills (if something goes wrong - I don’t even know how to install a new tube! Don’t have a repair kit either, even if I did, I wouldn’t know how to use it!) other concern is timing and not being on the trail if it’s getting dark. Planning on departing at 7:30am, and would like to be back at Oak Bay by 7:00pm. Thoughts?? Too ambitious for one day?
Great video - thanks for sharing it. One of my favorite trails.
