I’m a student in korea i lived there for 2 years and went to queneesh elementry school. I never heard of this place but now courtenay is the most beautiful town in the world for me. It’s a small town but people there are just kindness itself and lots of activities and nature. Thank you for such an amazing video. It really feels nostalgic for me.
great video, im considering moving to Courtenay from Vancouver. I youtubed it and your video came up first. Glad it did! Helps me get a glimpse of island life.
@@daveboydell2896 Depends on your age and lifestyle. I go to Nanaimo twice/yr - it's only an hour drive! I have absolutely no interest in going to Victoria or Vancouver unless I absolutely have to. Even Courtenay is getting too big for my liking.
I used to work in Western Road and owned Western Evergreens. Does anyone know what happened to Dick Ross? Or Casey? The new owner of the materials shop in Western Road?
I love nature here, but homes... they just lack appeal... I am used to towns in Europe and Mexico, with such charm and appeal... and here... nothing. Nature is at is most, but architecture...
I lived in Courtenay as a young American teen in the mid 70's. It was a great place to live then. I was treated well.
I'm a Los Angeles native, but I lived there from the spring of 85 to the winter of 89. Beautiful like no other place it is , along with its residents.
What were you doing in Courtenay? Ever meet a guy with the nickname 'Guido' while you were there?
