Welcome to Victoria International Airport (which is stunning!) on British Columbia's Vancouver Island! Today we're checking out Air Canada's direct service from BC's capital to Ontario's capital. The recently renovated terminal here in Victoria may be small, but it's packed with modern designs and tons of amenities (including North America's only in-airport distillery!).
Today's service to Toronto is onboard one of Air Canada's Airbus A321s, which is definitely feeling forgotten and unloved. From a painful-to-use entertainment system to a broken preferred seat, this fleet is aging and Air Canada hasn't announced any plans for retrofits...
Join me to check out the seat, the service, and everything in-between on this super long cross-country flight!

Won't forget the memorable flight experience I had with Air Canada travelling from Ottawa to Calgary to Victoria and returning Victoria via Vancouver via Toronto and back to Ottawa. Interestingly, I had the experience to try out the flat beds on the 787-900 from Vancouver to Toronto and it was amazing.

You have an airline employee voice. It reminded me of boarding calls.

Nice video! We just flew this route to YYZ on Mar 23 and returned on Apr 5. For March it was flown by mainline AC and we got the A220-300 :D and on April 5th we got a refreshed Rouge A321-200 with the refreshed cabin. This route is usually flown by Rouge and not occasionally. Interestingly used to be flown by the Rouge 767 until their retirement.
Thanks for sharing our local, and nice little airport :) Rated one of Canada's best

Thanks for watching! This flight for me was supposed to be on a Rouge A321, but they switched to a mainline A321. Too bad as I was hoping to try it!

@WillAviation same thing happened to us from YYJ-YYZ but we got the A220 instead which was a nice upgrade! Loved the 2-3 layout. The refreshed Rouge A321 are also surprisingly nice, we were in business and the seats are very similar to AA's newer first class seats.

I prefer the old days when you would fly a DC9 to YVR or YYC and then connect to Toronto on a 727. Also, those days they would offer a hot meal regardless of class on the Victoria to Calgary segment and Calgary Toronto leg.
